My Sioux Falls Adventure...
Wow, where do I begin. There were four of us total on this particular adventure. MT, RJ, PC, and myself. We left bright and early Sunday morning, all cramming into MT's Ford Explorer, and started out on our approximate 8 hour drive to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The drive there was long, boring and quiet. Needless to say, I slept most of the way there as did PC and RJ. Once in Sioux Falls, we set out to find this church that was putting us up for the week. It took forever as some of the roads are split and don't have the signs up. I think after 10-15 minutes we finally found it. We got to sleep in two classrooms where the church has its Sunday School classes. It was kind of fun, kind of not. I got my own room since I was the only girl, which I guess wasn't too bad of a deal. Got kind of lonely though. Thank god for cell phones and text messaging! Monday was our official day off. So we set out on the town to check out some sites. My Six Dogs
I have six of the most wonderful dogs that a woman could have. The first dog that I got was a cream colored Tibitian Spanial. He's short and when he's not bathed and groomed he's fuzzy. Toby is about 4 years old. I got him from the animal shelter in Cookeville, TN. He has been neutered and he's a clown at times. When I first brought him home my husband Stan got down on the floor and looked him in the eyes and told him that he was a cocker spanial wanna be. Little did we know at the time what his true identy was. He slept in our room on the floor next to my side of the bed. If there was a basket of clean clothes there he would turn the basket over and dig out some of MY clothes and sleep on them. He has taken over my recliner and now that's where he sleeps. so a couple of days ago, I got a notice in the mail from Aetna Insurance [whom I haven't had insurance with in a year] saying that I owe them 210 dollars for going to a William M Sligar MD for an office consult. Well, I looked up the doctor and come to find out he's an orthopedic surgeon and has 3 offices in Indiana [1 in Jeffersonville, 1 in New Albany, and one in Corydon].. I live in louisville, Ky. Why would I go over the bridge to Indiana to go to an orthopedic surgeon when I don't even have feet problems? I wouldn't! I've never been to their office. So I hop on "myspace" usually twice a day to see if I have any messages. Most of my bulletin is filled with surveys and crap, so I usually rarely read them. We found out a year and a half ago, that my sister had cancer. By the time they found out she had it, they gave her 6 months to live. She has been fighting, but getting weaker. Wow. So I ventured to a new unknown territory. The place : Midwest City Jail . This is my story. It's a true story. The names of the people and places were not changed to protect the innocent. It was a Saturday evening. My son, Caleb, spent the day with his father while I was working. This was a very unusual experience for me because his father is always too consumed with work and his future wife ( Jenny ) to have time available to spend with his first son. My Simple Plan
So.... I'm preparing to mail off my applications to work for DCFS or DHS in McDonough County, IL. My simple plan is to find a job in Macomb, find an apartment in Macomb, then move. Unfortunately, this means leaving behind the friendships and relationship I've built here. I'm definitely going to miss the kids I work with. They're really great and adding instability to their lives is the last thing I want to do but I miss my family. Well my mom just called. My sister had a Heart Catheter done this morning. They did not have good news for us. Nothing is good about anything when ya have your heart tested I guess. She has 90% blockage in one artery. The doctor will be in to talk to us after he does his other operations. We already know they are going to have to do 1 bypass but not sure about how many more. Well my sister will have her bypass operation tomorrow. It will be a 3 to 5 artery bypass. They ex-rayed her neck tonight to see if her neck arteries are blocked. They will have to put in a large IV in her neck just in case she needs meds or blood fast during the operation. She has 3 IVs already. She is so scared and I am scared for her. We talked and laughed with her, trying to keep her mind off of tomorrow. My dad is so upset because of what is happening to her, but mostly because he is not able to go down there and visit her. My Sister
Tried to take her life yesturday morning by taking over 150 pills. By the time the police got her to the ER, it was too late to pump her stomach because the pills had already been in her system for over a hour. She is currently in ICU, in a coma.... She's been like that for almost 24 hours now... My sister and I have not been on good terms for awhile now, and I just wish I could've told her how much her baby sister loves her... I tried to help her, we all did. But there is only so much you can do for a person who wont admit they have a problem. I will be on and off of here in between work, hospital, and working some more... Katie had her tonsils and adenoids removed September 18, 2008 and complications arose that caused Katie to develop a large amount of pulmonary embolyisms (blood clots in her lungs) which were not detected by ultrasounds and an MRI. Ultimately this led to Katie having difficulty breathing and then a heart attack due to the lack of oxygen caused by the clots. A first responder a few houses down was on the spot immediately and Katie was revived and rushed to the Fairview Lakes Hospital in Wyoming ,MN (5 miles from Katie and Brandon's home). My Situation....
Ok, so here's the deal, for anyone who wants to kno... I went to court on Thursday. Basically my lawyer screwed me over and didnt do a fuckin thing for me. So I ended up gettin locked up. They sentenced me to 4 months. I was able to bond out cuz I am appealing the decision. So I go back to court on April 15th. Im hiring a lawyer, and hopin that this one will help me more than the court appointed. But if he cant help me anymore than she did, Ill end up going back to jail for those 4 months. Earlier today, I was checking in on a profile that I have on the net to see what was going on. On Tuesday Sept. 19, I got a call from my 5 year olds teacher letting me know that he had taken it upon himself to draw a picture with crayon on the carpet. She died in Missouri, we live in North Carolina.

My Son Did Something Awful In School
Okay I'm not going to sit here and explain the whole story but lets just say Yesterday My Son Threatned his teachers life by writing, "I WILL KILL YOU" on his math worksheet! My son is 7 and in the first grade. The teacher called me but she said next time she will have to get the principal involved. My son has Severe ADHD and I think his meds isn't working like they should(good thing he is going to the doctor friday) Im just in total shock he would do something like this in school. Appointment with doctor went well...Change in plans as they cannot put my son on the donor list we have to find a live donor....Can you please help me to get the word out here....The surgery will take place in about 6 months..It will be done like no other ever preformed...Normal kidney transplants kidneys stay in the body...With Shawn they have to remove them as his kidneys are his disease...They will then put the new kidney in the front versus the back...The surgery being prefomed is referred to as an unconventional surgery being as it has never been attempted and therefore it is really expermental...My son is the oldest alive with this disease and the doctors are amazed at that..They beleive that if we remove the kidneys from his body it will work but because he is not in kidney failure he will be needing a live donor....Please help me by reposting to all your friends..I just dont know what to do or how to go about all this so I am asking Jesus to please guide my fingers and to pleas

My Son And The Phone
David and I talk on the phone everyday. If he calls the home phone and I don't answer, he calls the cell.. then the home phone.. then the cell.. on and on till he gets me. I was on my office phone as the phones around me kept ringing.. 4 calls on the home line... 3 on the cell before I had to get off and answer it..lol.

My Sore Ribs
I did something stupid on Tuesday morning. I was walking to work and it was freezing and very windy. I decided to take a short cut. So with most of my face covered up to protect myself from the wind I walked off the sidewalk and into a neighbouring buildings parking lot. I took a few steps and fell on the icey parking lot. I landed on another large chunk of ice which bruised a few of my ribs and now I am very sore and struggling to move. I knew this wasnt safe and just because I am blind in one eye and partially blind in the other this idea should have registered as not something I should do! But I did and now am paying for it with incrediable pain. The lesson learned by me is I shoulda just stayed on the side walk in the cold for the extra ten minutes it would have taken. Now I am going to sufer for a good month if not longer until I heal. Hope you all are well!!! A bruised scotty xoxoxo

i am so happy!!!!! my son got his port taken out on friday february 9th and his tests come back saying that he has no cancer cells anywhere in his body and that if he stay cell free for the next five years then he'll be labled cured and the surgury to remove the port went smoothly. thank you for all your prayers.* HUGGS EVERYONE *

My Soldier Sent Me Roses...
Well, I really missed my hubby more than ever today. Not only because it's Valentine's Day, but today made three years for us. :)) I knew he wouldn't forget, but I didn't expect to get a gift on two seperate days. Yesterday he sent me the Velvet heart with yummy chocolates with a sweet little note. I don't think I've ever eat any as good. We were on the phone whenever I got it, so it was really sweet. Today he sent me a bouque of beautiful Roses and Lilies with a second little love note. :) They are just so pretty and smell so good. I took them out of the bouque and put them in a vase so they can fully bloom. My hubby and I have also decided that whenever he gets home from Iraq we are going to be moving out of state. I'm sort of nervous but excited at the same time. He was offered a job working in the IT field, but it also requires that he re-inlists in the military, but atleast it will be under non-deployment statis, and I am VERY happy about that.
