Kfc Or Kkk?
Last night, while watching TV with friends, a commercial came on for KFC (I assume everyone knows who they are), and I found something to be quite a bit disturbing. The family being portrayed was a black family (that's one thing), but what was disturbing to me was that KFC has seemingly bought into a stereotype of this crazy nation of ours. Ya see; there was an older (by older I mean 30's-ish, and as compared to the children) black woman and 3 children, nicely seated around a small table enjoying their dinner. The fact of the matter and reason for this post is that the father or the 'baby daddy' was no where to be found. Now, I am not a black man, but if I were, I'd have to imagine I wouldn't be to happy about this. Or am I crazy? Lemme know what you think!

I've been told and asked if I planned on coming on permanent at this shit hole. I'm moving this weekend to be closer to work. Detroit Cops!!!
Detroit cops are assholes! I was on my way back from the back and I get on my block and found the truck. I checked it to see if the keys were in it (not) and came home and called the cops. It took them an hour to get here and now the truck is gone again. So I will watch the street and the area because it's around here somewhere. I will also file a compaint, like it would do any good, because we tried to do the right thing and they can't get their shit together.

Small Business
I'm thinking of starting up a small business with an old friend. It'll be a ranch out in Texas where it'll be a hunting reserve (mainly wild pigs since they're rampent out there). Eventually have a lodge/house and a number of mustangs for riding/camping/hunting with. He threw up the idea and already has 25 acres. I'm looking at adding to that number. I'm not expecting any monetary return right now but down the run it has some nice long term potential with low costs upfront. It's also a added bonus that he knows a number of self made millionaires who fly into the local airport and he customized their aircraft. Some he's taken hunting out there for some fees a few times already.

Well, here it is the end of September, and my favorite time of year is coming up-Autumn. I Am Back
Still working on my books. I split Wealth, Women, and War into four books. It is what I could afford on the editing. I have been promoted at work. I am a Field Supervisor now. Cajun Chicken & Rice
* 1 1/2 lb Boneless chicken breast halves, cut into 1" pieces * 1/8 teaspoon Garlic powder * 5 large Tomatoes, peeled and chopped * 2 large Onions, chopped * 1 large Green pepper, chopped * 1/4 c Worcestershire sauce * 1/4 c Soy sauce * 1 to 2 teaspoons Pepper * 1 teaspoon Dried whole basil * 1 teaspoon Dried whole marjoram * 1 teaspoon Dried whole oregano * Hot cooked rice Sprinkle chicken with garlic powder; set aside. Combine tomatoes and remaining ingredients except rice in a Dutch oven. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes. Add chicken, and return to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 30, minutes or until tender. Serve over rice. Serves 4 to 6.

Baked Drumsticks With Potatoes
* 8 large chicken drumsticks * 2 large russet potatoes -- 1 inch wedges * 1 cup onion -- thinly sliced * 1 cup Italian plum tomatoes, canned -- drained & chopped * 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh oregano -- minced * OR 1 1/2 tsp. crumbled dried oregano * 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt * 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper * 4 teaspoons olive oil * 2 tablespoons Italian parsley -- minced Adjust oven rack to center of oven and preheat to 350^F. Wash chicken legs and blot dry. Place legs on work surface. Starting at top of leg, slip your fingers under the skin to loosen. Peel off skin carefully, using a pair of kitchen shears to snip the skin and any connecting membrane to avoid tearing the meat; discard skin. Trim off any membrane or bits of fat that may still be attached to leg. Lightly grease bottom of 9x13x2-inch ovenproof baking pan with cooking spray. Arrange drumsticks in single layer in pan. Goodmorning, And Happy Hump Day
Has everyone had their cup/s of coffee this morning to get the old eyeballs open? I have had mine, although I'm not sure how much it's helping...lol It's off to work here in about 30 mins., then off at 2. The Past Couple Days
9/24/07 Megan came over on the night of the 24th. We ended up hanging out and decided to drink, then one thing lead to another and everything we felt about each other started coming out. She had spent the night and I got very little rest cause she hogged my bed. 9/25/07 She came over and we just hung out, pretty much took off from where it left the night before. We decided to be Friends with benefits (exclusively) with the possibility of becoming more. Now this is the person who stood me up a couple times and she explained that. I'm a year and a half younger then her. She's 23 I'm 21 about to turn 22. Now the other interesting thing is she's liked me since we first had a class together. (Math 102). So I do feel this will advance but how quick I do not know. She enjoys hanging out with me. She likes me. I like her. We are happy around each other. And she wants more but is afraid of moving too quick. So who knows but hey I'm happy I'm at the stage I'm at now with her.

Never Assume
Never assume anything always ask. A hard lesson learned if someone doesn't tell you something and you have questions. Ask if they get mad well it's on them just never assume it only makes things worse. You may think they should tell you, but of course most aren't as u assume, they assume you understand and know. If you don't let them know you don't understand something or you don't know it just makes some people mad when you haven't asked them in the first place. Some are understanding, but some aren't and if nothing is asked then misunderstandings occur later on which lead to bigger problems. So when in doubt of something ask, never assume.

A Better Day Ahead
Ah, it is early morning. I woke up and feel refreshed. I slept well. Yesterday was not such a good day but that is behind me and today is a new day. The weather is going to be beautiful today. Supposed to be in the 80's, just perfect. After talking to Martin yesterday and calming down a bit, my son's principal called me to tell me that she had Christopher in her office. When I see the school district phone number come up on my phone, I kind of hold my breath. He apparently acted up in violin. He was talking and would not stop is what she told me. Then I got a call form his violin teacher to tell me the same thing. We talked for quite a while. She says he is one of her best students but if he doesn't think he is the "star" of the class, the best, he starts acting up. When Peter got home, we had a long talk with Christopher and told him that good behavior is better then bad and we think he would rather make people happy then angry at him. Truck Jacked!!!
My oldest son was out last night, driving mrswlfgrl's truck, in the local area He stopped at a store and when he came out, 3 assholes jumped him. One slammed his head into the door and then all 3 started punching him and kicking him. They got the keys from him during the fight. As they drove off, he got up and tried to run them down. When he couldn't, he came home and called the cops. It took them 2 911 calls and 45 minutes to get here. Now we get to go to the police station to make sure the truck is registered as stolen. My son hs a fat lip, a real nice shiner and a stomach that's hurting. He's also looking to kill someone. The cops treated him like shit too. They cut him no slack during the interveiw. What? Did they think because he was a guy that he wouldn't be upset and pissed? He was getting confused and they didn't ask the greatest questios. It was like the cops were trying to get him to screw up. I guess all I can say is... WELCOME TO DETROIT.

Decisions In Life
Life is full of all sorts of decisions most are easy everyday decisions without stress. Some are life altering ones. You have to make the decisions on what is best for you not anyone else. It is hard to be selfish for some people and they chose the decision to please the other people involved, but leaves them with unhappiness. You have to be true to yourself , your life and what will make you happy even if it hurts someone else. You know in your heart it is not your intention to hurt anyone else and you have to live with that and in return others should understand that your living your life for you and not for them so your happiness and well being is first and foremost. People should not assume that you do not care about them when you make decisions, its just you care about you more it is your life.

So, I know I haven't been on as much as I was in the past. I've kind of tried to cut my online time down a bit. Last night I had a dream that when I woke up was really upsetting to me because I had to realize that it was not real and would never happen. Lets start off by saying.. when a friend invites you over for a beer or a game..or anything..dont pass it off by saying i cant make it unless you really cant. A buddy of mine in our company killed himself last night and just on sat he called and asked me to have a beer with him on sunday. Being I was on cq and wouldnt get off till sunday morning at 6 i knew i would be sleeping all day... we discussed how he had about a month left in the army and I would make it over there soon. Well soon wasnt soon enough ... as I said he killed himself last night which hits me in the face and makes me realize there isnt always a month. Or anytime for that matter. If you are buddies or close to someone ...make sure you take the time to stay close.. be friends.. ya never know when shit like this is going to happen. Pray for his wife and son. There's one thing that my hubby and I agree on and that's suicide is selfish and not the way to solve anything but some people just can't handle the pressure of whatever they are going through because of different reasons whatever they are. My Job Freaking Sucks
for the most part anyway... Yeah I couldn't sleep most of the night and just really want to new job.. I am sick giving 100%, almost killing myself and getting nothing in return. Child Missing
I'm not sure who all sees this blog, but just in case it goes to the whole site, especially people in michigan and indiana. A amber alert was put out this morning for a missing boy from muskegon. He is seven years old with blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen around 4 p.m. walking home from school wearing a black shirt and tan shorts, with gray nike shoes. This really hits close to home for me as i have two girls that go to the same school, and we live only 2 blocks from where this happened. Now i will be walking them to and from school everyday. The police believe he has been kidnapped and could be in extreme danger. Why do we have to live in such a sick world? Our prayers go out to the family, and hope that this child is found safe.

Wow, looking at MSN’S home page would make anyone go yuck… Other then the Nike Story on a shoe designed for American Indians there is not much to say that is a bright spot on the horizon. Holidays
Yep I'll be visiting the US again near the end of october, and the way the dollar is at the moment for me ... well lets just say I'll be getting some bargains LOL. Ok so it will be the third visit this year to the same state, I like Oregon, just wish it wasn't so damn far LOL. Some may say that I should visit other parts of the US and see what it is like, but I like visiting friends as they know their area better than I could ever find out about. This year I thought I got it right concerning my holiday entitlement ... erm nope LOL. I forgot that we have to keep 1 day for xmas day. Last year was worse as I had to take a week off earlier in the year due to moving. I had to work my rest days so I could get 7 days more holiday, at least this year I only have to work 1 day :D Still at least I will be able to enjoy halloween like I did last year, seeing what people have done to their homes to celebrate halloween :D

Hmmmm Today was a heartbreaking, heartfelt day. I guess I just wanted to share it. Its a shame I work so much I have no one here at home, friends wise, to share it with. I realize that I'm being utterly ridiculous, but I'm always doing something strange. I got in an argument with the trashcan. "Anger becomes you!" it said. Mistakes
We all make mistakes one time or another, and sometimes those mistakes take a turn for the worse. Shrimp Stew
Shrimp Stew Ingredients: 1 bag of shrimp (as much as you want to put in) 4 tablespoons of flour 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil 1 large onion chopped 3 stems of celery chopped 1 large potato cut into cubes (optional...1/4 bell pepper chopped) Directions: Put the oil in a dutch oven. When it is hot, put in the flour and stir. When the roux is copper color, add onions and celery. Stir. When they are limp, add about 1 cup of water (or if you have it, shrimp stock..boiling peelings will make a great shrimp stock). Stir. When it is shiny, add about 3 cups of water(or stock...half way up the pot.) Cook for about 1 hour. Add shrimp and potatoes. Cook until potatoes are done and the sauce is the right consistency (like thin gravy). Serve over white rice with potato salad.

My Departing Gift To You
For future reference, forgetting my birthday and making a big deal out of yours every year is a problem. Wishing me happy birthay would have been enough, a card, cooking me dinner, or even cleaning up. For furture reference, not recognizing a holiday like Christmas is a problem. When every year I make sure you get something from me and you child/children. A simple card, note, or baking brownies from the pantry shelf would have been fine. For future reference, buying toys for yourself and you child/children instead of paying bills, or asking what is needed in the household is a problem. To understand it is not about you but the whole group is a lesson to be remembered. Mau Mau's Crayfish Etouffee 5 # crayfish tails Vegetables: 9-10 bunches of green onions (chopped) 2 onions (chopped) 1 bunch celery - about 9 pieces (chopped) 7 toes garlic (chopped) and garlic powder (to taste) 1 bunch parsley (chopped) 1 1/2 sticks of butter (to sauté the vegetables) OR canola oil 5 cans of chicken broth (if too thick add a sixth can) 1/2 can tomato paste (to color and thicken) Approx.3 lg. cooking spoons flour (not tablespoons) A little water from rinsing crayfish bags Salt (to taste) Pepper (to taste) Tony Chacherie's Creole Seasoning (to taste) Sauté vegetables in butter. Add chicken broth, tomato paste, flour, crayfish, and water. Add salt, pepper, and Tony Chacherie's to taste. May add a dash of Tabasco. Cook approximately 1 hour on low heat. Serve over rice.
