My first view of Camp Korean Village was darkness. There are very little outside lights in this area of Western Iraq. There's very little anything around except sand. BRADENTON FL. - A Manatee County woman has been arrested for stabbing her elderly husband with Alzheimer's in the neck with two steak knives. 79-year-old Harold Tanner suffers from Alzheimer's and is cared for by his wife 52-year-old Deborah and his step-son William Davis at their home on the 4700 block of 61st Avenue Terr. W. in Bradenton. A Manatee County Sheriff's report says on Tuesday around 11am, Mrs. Tanner stabbed Mr. Tanner in the neck with two steak knives at the same time, while Harold was lying in his bed. Deborah then called 911 to report the stabbing. When Deputies arrived Mrs. Tanner was at the front door and admitted to stabbing her husband. She said she stabbed him because he needed a rest. The Cycle
I friend of mine just gave birth this week. Another friend of mine killed himself this weekend. Last Wednesday, he was sitting in a meeting describing how doctors had just saved his life. He had had a heart attack and didn’t know it. The doctors did. They cut his clothes, cut his leg, inserted tubes and told him to shut up and lie still. Less than a week after doctors saved his life, he took it. He was a father, he was in his forties and he spent most of his adult life in prison. The man I met, after his release, was a frightened, scared and lonely child. I would imagine, he wasn’t much older, in terms of maturity, than when he went in; a man on the outside covered in tattoos, a child on the inside cloaked in hurt. This man was identical to me, in all ways except appearance. This week, a new life came into this world as one went out. The irony does not escape me, nor does the pain, the innocence or the significance of each. What I am witnessing is the cycle.

Where I've Been
So lately much has been happening and I really haven't gotten on here. Haley had her hospital stay, Jack had a couple infections and sicknesses, Reiley is turning 7 today, and my mother-in-law just had surgery. I am trying to get the ball rolling with my health and getting better. It takes time, lots of e-mails, and plenty of phone calls. I am getting it all done day by day. Wish me luck. Between babysitting (which is my new stay-at-home mommy job) and taking care of my own kids, I really don't have much time. I love every minute of it, but it is exhausting. Why again do I care so much about people yet whenever I turn around, it seems like the people nearest me that should care about me don't? I try and do any and everything for people around me as often as I can. I notice when people are upset and something seems wrong. First Day
We arrived at our hotel room last night just before 11PM and grabbed a quick bite at the food court. My older son had a minor melt down because, though the food court is open until midnight, we were not told that the grill station shuts down at 11...and I swear they closed it down while we were standing there studying the menu. My Dog Molley
Last week, my dog Molley started having problems with her right eye. It was swollen, puffy, and irritated. My Vet said it looked like it was being irritated by a stray eyelash that was growing inward, poking the eye. He referred me to a specialist that does nothing BUT eyes. I took her to the specialist today. He examined her VERY thoroughly. He found a large tumor in her right eye. It has done enough damage that the eye cannot be saved. She goes for surgery at 8:30 in the morning. They are going to remove her right eye in a same day surgical procedure. Her left eye is fine. Pray for her. Heck, pray for me, this is costing me $1500! ha ha ha Seriously, she is FINE, she has already adjusted to having a limited field of vision (so says the Vet). She only has to recover from the surgery and avoid getting an infection. Otherwise she should be fine. *I* am the one who is all upset over this. *sigh* I loves my doggie...but damn love is tough!

I've spent last month trying to find the best deal in finding a place to live. After visiting a few places, I belive i've found a new place to call the "Hatch Cave" After driving 30 minutes to..and from work..and working ten hour shifts for over a year now...I think its time to move closer to work.
