Homemade Tortilla Chips
1 pkg. corn or flour tortillas (corn are lower in fat than flour) cumin seasoning Lite salt Cut stack of tortillas into 8 wedges each. Spread wedges in a single layer on baking sheet. Sprinkle with cumin and lite salt. Bake at 375 degrees about 10 minutes, turning after 5 minutes. Make sure you watch them closely. You do not want them too brown. Store in an air tight container. When serving, freshen the chips in the microwave about 45 seconds to 1 minute. Let sit about 5 to 10 minutes before eating so they can harden and cool. Makes 200 chips.

Well today we just sat around and didnt do to much.. me and the kids made some cookies and lela managed to get some in her hair.. we went to my moms for alil bit today. and not that long after we had left from there.. Molasses Cookies
1 C. shortening (back then she liked lard ) 1 C. brown sugar 1 C. molasses 1 C. sour milk (sour with vinegar or lemon juice) 2 t. soda 1 t. each ginger and cinnamon 1 T. vinegar ( she liked cider vinegar but I've done it with white and it still works) 5 C. flour ( you may need more or less ) Mix shortening, sugar, and spices together. Add vinegar, molasses and milk, mix well. Add flour, one cup at a time without sifting it first, till you have a stiff dough. Refrigerate for at least an hour or even over night if you want. Heat oven to 350°F. to 375°F. Roll dough into about walnut size balls, then you take something to press the ball flat on a floured surface, (I always used a saucer, I floured the bottom of it first so it wouldn't stick). Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and brush tops with milk then sprinkle with sugar. Bake for about 5 minutes (maybe a little longer, you have to watch the first batch to see exactly how long).

Roasted Poblano Guacamole With Garlic And Parsley
2 medium (about 6 ounces total) fresh poblano chiles 6 ounces (1 medium round or 2 plum) ripe tomatoes 2 garlic cloves, unpeeled 3 tablespoons chopped flatleaf parsley 3 medium-large ripe avocados Salt to taste 1 to 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice 2 tablespoons finely crumbled Mexican queso anejo, or other dry grating cheese like Romano or Parmesan Radish slices for garnish Preheat the broiler. 36 tortilla chips, homemade or store-bought 2 1/2 cups refried beans, homemade or store bought (recipe follows) 1 pound ground beef, cooked 4 cups shredded American or Cheddar cheese 1 cup guacamole (recipe follows) 1 onion, finely chopped 2 tomatoes, diced 1 jalapeño chile, sliced REFRIED BEANS: 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or lard 2 cups cooked, salted pinto beans, mashed with a potato masher or puréed in a blender GUACAMOLE: 4 Haas avocados 1 teaspoon garlic powder Salt, to taste Pepper, to taste If using a conventional oven rather than a microwave, preheat it to 350 degrees. Even the strong faulter sometimes, this is my time. Either its my bipolar kicking in because of the drab outdoor scenary or I'm simply depressed but today is just not a good day. Him Cancels Tour
HIM have announced the cancellation of their fall tour. The band will not be playing scheduled U.S. shows in favor of entering the recording studio (see canceled dates below). HIM hope fans will not be let down, but rather will look forward to seeing them back on the road with new songs to share. The band have been steadily writing material for their forthcoming album and are eager to start preliminary rehearsal of very early tracks. HIM have not been able to test any new material due to their busy touring and promotion schedule. This fall will be the first opportunity for the band members to talk and work out new HIM material for a 2007 release! 2 pkgs. Merita party dinner rolls 2 sticks butter, melted 1 tbsp. poppy seeds 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 3 tbsp. mustard 1 onion, chopped fine 1 lb. boiled ham 3/4 lb. Swiss cheese Mix butter, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, onions, and mustard together. Cut rolls slicing through the middle separating top from bottom. Spread top and bottom of rolls with mixture. Add 1 layer of ham and cheese. Put top on bottom of rolls. Cover with foil and bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Cut into individual rolls when ready to serve.

As if having a damned concussion isn't bad enough... I was in a freaking car accident. I don't think it is my fault.. but I'll explain it all. I Need A Job
I mean, I have a job, but it isn't great. I really like being a server. It's relatively easy, and it's good money most nights. A bad night, I make an average of $10/hr. Why Is It So Difficult?
Why in the world is it so difficult in this life to tell people how you really feel? And why do the majority of the population take all but their own feelings into account when they make decisions? Just for Majority sake? To Impress others? I myself find it very difficult to tell ppl the REAL things I feel because it's just usually not something most people would do... but why should we be forced to make a decision based on other's opinions? Too Close
Too many emotions I feel at once. my heart beats so fast that I fear it will shatter. I just want to stay in the dark and be all alone and feel it numb my broken soul. Virus Fun
Greetings to my Cherry friends. I have recently come into contact with a virus that is very pecular. I think someone was using me for a download proxy. Which is just (i think) someone who uses my computer to download and then downloads from me. Idk the only proof of this is 790 songs that have appeared from an unknown source onto my computer. Yes 790 songs that I actually like. No I did not download. Some are from bands I have never heard before. No one downloaded them. I'm the only one that downloads. I only have one downloading program. scared of life.. yes its true.. life passes too slowly one day and the next way to damn fast... scared of who i am and who i will become.. Apple Chicken Curry
2 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons flour 2 cups heavy cream 2 chicken bouillon cubes 1/2 cup cream of coconut or 1/2 cup coconut milk Curry powder to taste (approximately 1 teaspoon) 1 whole chicken breast 1/4 cup apple slices 1/4 cup onions, chopped 1/4 cup mushrooms, chopped 4 or 5 broccoli florets Prepare a roux by melting the butter and blending with the flour over medium heat. Stir constantly and add cream, bouillon cubes, and coconut milk. Add curry powder and continue stirring until mixture boils and thickens. Set aside. Place chicken breast in a small casserole dish, skin side down. Fill breast with the apples, onions, mushrooms, and broccoli. Fold two halves of chicken breast together. Cover with curry sauce and garnish. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 375 degrees.

Parmesan Fried Chicken
2 1/2 lbs chicken tenders or chicken breast cut in strips - no skin salt 4 tablespoons butter or margarine 1/4 to 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted 1 cup all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 2 teaspoons paprika 2 eggs, slightly beaten 3 tablespoons milk 2/3 cups grated Parmesan cheese 2/3 cups grated Romano cheese 2/3 cups dry bread crumbs Heat oven to 400. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in 9 x 13. Lightly salt chicken. Coat chicken with mixture in dish 1, dip chicken into dish 2, roll chicken in dish 3. Roll up strips and secure with a toothpick. Place chicken in pan. Drizzle with melted butter. Bake 45 minutes or until done. May serve with several sauces - salsa, sweet and sour, BBQ, use your imagination. Note: if in a hury can use whole pieces of chicken, place in pan bone side down.

Baked Chicken With Red Wine
1 chicken (3 to 4 pounds), cut into serving pieces 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, crumbled Garlic powder or fresh minced, to taste Salt and pepper to taste 1/2 red wine 1 tablespoon olive oil, optional 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans Preheat oven to 3750 F. Arrange chicken pieces in 13 x 9 x 2 baking dish. Sprinkle with seasonings. Pour wine over all. Drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil; continue to bake until chicken is thoroughly cooked, approximately 30 minutes. If browner chicken is desired, place under broiler for a few minutes, being careful not to burn pecans. Variations: Add dijon-style mustard and/or Worcestershire sauce to wine before pouring over chicken pieces.

Soul Predators At dusks firery goodbye the light now dims, Into an ocean of blood my soul it swims. Trying to get back what I'v lost, I'll do anything at any cost.
