Haircut... And School Cramps...
Hey everyone :) Today mom dragged me into the haircut saloon and made me get a haircut... its the same style as the old, just like an inch shorter... I Am Ok
I thought I should let you all know what is going on so you all aren't all freaking on me. I did go to the GYN yesterday. He is no Dr. Hennessey, but still a wonderful doctor. Of course things went as well as can be expected. I won't have any results right away (of course...they have to be sent to the lab). I do however have to go for more tests at Parkwest. Parkwest is a larger hospital in Knoxville that has more state of the art equipment than the hospital that I work at. Mine is only 50 beds & considered a "rural" hospital. We don't even deliver babies or have a peds unit (they are all trasferred to Parkwest or East TN Childrens). As for my "break". The stress of everything has just gotten to the point that it is hard for me to deal or act like nothing is going on. Last year, I never really "realized" or dealt with the cancer. This is the speech I did infront of my mom's church last sunday. The reactions and the applause was just amazing and all the hands I shook and the thank you's was just truely amazing. I now want to be a advocate for the troops and do alot more for them. Its wonderful how God works in ways that suprise you. I am excited to see what happens in the near future. What sucks the most is when you think your life is going so well and then out of no where something comes and knocks you down. whether the at something is sickness or losing your good friends. unfortunatley it is both for me. i had some really close friends and then out of nowhere the phone you call keeps ringing to the answer machine or they hang up on you cuz they are to busy to say hi for a minute or their phone calls to you never come. it sucks cuz this happens to me all the time and my dumb ass keeps letting it happen. i try to spend time with them but with being sick and working the graveyard shift my day is busy but at least i try. i just hope things only go up from here.

Some Dark Of Me

Today decided i was in a good mood...and why? because it was time to be....Also learned a few things today.. Taking chances is really just about overcoming your fears, because the truth is, every time you take a big risk in your life, no matter how it ends up, you're always glad you took it. I shed tears on my way home from work today. I don't even know what song was playing on the radio, I was overwhelmed by a sense of saddness. My cousin, is the source of many tears today. well life is life. galen and I are still here, but we have no money right now and are having to take each day one at a time. I am at my parents house using their computer right now. I had a birthday Monday (the big 31) so thanks to all that sent me a card or whatnot. I really appreciate it. My life has been ok. I have to see a therapist for depression and eating disorder. I was diagnosed with anorexia. Luckily, it isn't severe enough for me to be in the hospital, but I have to go to counseling for it. I had a minor surgery done in the Er on monday in which they had to enlarge my pee hole. i thought i had a bladder infection and was getting antibotics and it wasn't clearing it up. Let me tell you that wasn't fun at all. If you have ever had a catheter done and they take it out, you know how it feels. So needless to say I had an unfun birthday. hope everyone is doing good and i really do miss you all.

Many of you have been asking why I haven't been around lately. Mostly, it's been because I had gotten into a severe depression about not having a job. All that changed last week. Tuesday of last week, I interviewed for a new job. The interview went very well, and by the end of it, I had been offered a job - later to be realized as a dream job. I started the new job Monday of this week. I am working at BWI Airport, maintaining their security system (card readers, cameras, etc. - if you fly into BWI, I'm watching you). This new job has given me an all-access pass to BWI Airport, including permission to drive on the tarmac, alongside passenger and cargo jets. I absolutely LOVE this job! The pay is a little low for now (expected to go up soon, once I complete the trial period). A Full Day
Was a very full day .. 60k & My Wonderful Wife
So, the two things in the title really have nothing to do with each other, but they work to help my mind not wander too much (not that it ever strays too far). My car, on the way to work today turned over 60,000 miles. I have had it just UNDER 2 years... that's right... TWO years!! I have driven a little over 30,000 miles per year for two years!!! Considering I was driving 110 miles round trip to work for about 6 months right after I got "her" my Corolla has been doing great. A Day To Remember
It's been 18 years today since Mom was buried. It isn't a day that brings sadness anymore, just a day where I think of what there once was in my life. Mom was 51 and had fought various forms of cancer since I had been in middle school. Still Learning About Autism
AUTISM AWARENSS I'm still learning about autism. I have 5 kids, two of which are diagnosed with having autism. Anyone have any stories to share? My 10yr old didn't starting learning to speak until after he turned 3yrs old. My 4 1/2yr old daughter really doesn't talk at all other than a word here and a word there. She knows some sign language and was showing very similar mannerisms that my 10yr old did at around 2yrs, and that's how I suspected she was autistic too. They both are very high-functioning however.

My Son Left Today...
With a huge hug that lasted forever and tears streaming down our faces, I said goodbye to my son today. He is heading back to florida where he will be until Jan. 08 when he deploys. Its been a very emotional visit for all of us, but for my boy and me it has been, just like everything for us...a struggle. A Great Day
As you could guess in my last blog I was very angry and passionate. I also wrote very badly, in the heat of the moment. But today was different. I had a job interview this morning, and I WOWed them. I got word this afternoon that I was hired. YEY. Being an 'older guy' I have had experience in interviewing, know business, and usually communicate very well. Except last night, of course, when I wrote with passion and poor form. I have been out of solid work for 21 months- almost 2 years. Now I must admit that smack in the middle of that was two surgeries, and recovery time, which accounted for about 7 months. Of course, as an IT (computer geek) type guy, I have had some consulting work in and around there, but not that much. I also had a 2 month job with a, let's call it, 'unique' employer, and he wasn't able to appreciate all I could do for him. But then in the larger scheme of things, it was something to do and earn some buck$ until my real job would find me, which it indeed did.

I have been venting my frustrations, speaking my mind about what I considered to be an injustice. In the last few days I've talked to Scrapper and a couple of bouncers. And I see their side of things. This site has over 1 million members, and a handful of bouncers. I Just Wanted.....
I just wanted to say thanks to all of my friends. I know that of late I have been acting kind of strange. My moods have been up and down and all around. Definition Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorder NOS (not otherwise specified) are developmental disabilities that share many of the same characteristics. Just Why
Why do human beings have to come with baggage? Wouldn't life be easier if we could check our past at the entrance to the future? It seems that each of us have been blessed in one form or another with something that we will hold on to for a long time, maybe even forever. Why? Why do we hold on to them and create an emotional barrier that a good portion of us will never let anyone cross? What Can Ease My Pain?????
I do not know what cure there is for the pain that I feel??? The only cure is to hope and pray that my ture love will soon returen??? Indiana
I keep on hearing all these things people say that are reasons why Indiana is so great. Yeah woohoo we have freaking corn fields. yay im so freaking happy. The group got together in the Mexican city Monterrey to try and break the world record and cooked a taco that was a wopping 15 metres long! It was made from over 10,000 wheat tortillas stuck together and filled with meat, cheese and onion. Starting Fall Term Soon!!
