I sit at home jobless
Sad and in despair
Don't even use my Nautilus
No longer do I care
Bills to be paid
No money coming in
Current politicians evade
The job outlook dim
Some say I should be a fast food cook
And support my family on five dollars an hour
In my kid's eyes I could not look
The future is dour
I may run for political office
I'm as good as the guy in power
Although I am a novice
People will resist the urge
And vote for a change
To remove the current scourge
If not they will end up living homeless on the range
