I write in blue today, not because it is my favorite color but because it is how I feel at the moment. I just read a blog from a friend who had some very good points in it, and I just wanted to throw my measly 2 cents in on the subject. The subject was basically about racism, and me being a frequent victim of racist or bigoted rhetoric, I feel I have a little insight on the subject. Now dealing with any ism out there, it's important to realize that most of the ideology behind isms is mostly ignorant or stereotypical bullshit. And yes, there was a day when I reacted wildly and angrily at any hint or sign of racism or prejudice aimed at me. But nowadays, I realize two things. When I Win The Mega Millions Lotto!!!
The Estate..... The house itself wouldn't be all that outrageous, but some of the things in it and on the property might be, so I'll need a lot of room. Live maybe 100 acres or so. The kids have always loved going to those ball pits, so I'd have an elaborate play area with a huge ball pit for them. Then, all the way on the other side of the house I would have a ball pit for me and my friends. It would be about 50' by 50' and 4 feet deep. It would have a full size, fully stocked and staffed bar and I'd hire a dozen or so strippers to play in it with me and my friends. Oh man today I realgize more than anything that I do care more about what the Boy thinks and the sad part is that I can't show my emotions . It would let too many people down who believe in me . When Did This Happen
I have been thinking allot, probably too much as it tends to be consistent with my consumption of coffee or booze, and the listening to of sad or melancholy music. I seem to have gotten old before I was ready, before my time. I have not traveled anywhere of my choosing with no other reason to go than "It seems like fun" in years. In my particular instance, I had been chatting every day and bantering everyday for about 3-4 months with the guy I had sent the questionnaire to, eventhough I knew some of the answers to some of the questions already. He was going to buy an airline's ticket to come see me. I had all sorts of question in my mind and felt like I indeed had to be able to get to know him a little better somehow (and see if there was anything that I absolutely couldn't live with). When You Fall Across Tunes
that remind you of people, I fell across one today that reminds me of a friend of mine called Shawnie. I remember he always used to come up to me flat and he used to play this track by The Verve over and over again and singing at the top of his voice. Well it was five years ago on Christmas Day that I found out he had killed himself and this track always brings me a mixture of feelings of sadness that he is not around and it makes me smile when I remember his versions of it in me living room at about 3am in the mornings. When Bad Goes To Worse
Started out with a simple problem and then it has just gotten worse. Started in October when my computer crashed and hard drive was fried, no more contact with the ones I love and no more Cherrytap. Sports towns holding funerals instead of celebrating their sports teams and having heated converstions on how to improve for next year. When To Try Again?
Mike and I have been talking recently about my health and when to start trying again. I know that physically I am starting to feel a bit back to normal again. The first cycle I had after losing the baby didnt start on its own so I dont really count it. Mike and I decided to wait for the next and then see if the cycle after the next one is normal. If it is then we will try again after not the next one but the one after that. I am very excited but yet also very scared of it happening again. I just have to trust in God to give us our baby if and when He thinks its time.

It's no small coincidence that I'm working towards being a literary scholar.... I love when things are much more complex than they seem. I love digging underneath the surface, picking out details that may typically be overlooked, eating up contradictions, and arguing for the multiple ways a text can be interpreted. When Did I Become My Father?
I'm finding that, sadly, as I get older, I find myself doing things my father did/does that, when I was younger I swore I would never do. Ever find yourself having a similar reaction? Case in point, on my way to go see a movie with my friend, Michelle, I see one of those plastic bins you get @ Wal-Mart for stroing stuff in the garage on the side of the road and yell @ Michelle to pull over so I can grab it. And, as someone with common sense would do, she refused. Now, at this point, I found myself thinking "When did I become my father?" And some of you ask "Why?" Because he does that. When Mom Died...
A little background on Me and Mom first... Growing up, Mom and I never got along. It was one of those stories where I couldn't do anything right. Nothing was good enough. Her treatment of my brother was the opposite. Dad got treated pretty much like me. Thats probably why Dad and I have always been so close. Unfortunately we both had learned from our fathers the wrong way to handle conflict. We allowed too much to happen to us just to avoid it. Growing up, Dad always made me feel loved. Mom rarely told me. In fact she told me the opposite.. that she hated me. I couldn't tell you if she ever told me she loved me during my highschool or college years. I don't remember a single time. I sure remembered the word hate though. Mom got cancer first when I was in Middle School. She got better for awhile. She developed other forms of cancer over the next few years. I think that I just might have found out what has been causing the virus. I blew out what looked close to a slug bug (you know...the ewey gooey part of a snail).... it was just as long.... it was just as thick... it was just as gooey... and it appeared to have a vein of sorts in this ewey gooey green slimey mess. I just knew that I probably should have rushed it off to the University of Texas labs for further scientific exploration. Mentioned this to one of my coworkers who started having the virus about a week before I started and she said.... that she had the same thing when she woke up for the last few days. She advised me that I would be having this scientific phenomena for the next few days. Just great!!!! Well I was sitting here watching popeye the sailor man with my son after work, when I started to drift off in old memories from about a year ago. When Did I...
..stop being a 99 lb cheerleader and turn into a chubby housewife?! When I was in high school, I was a cheerleader. I was the skinny perky so hyper most people probably wanted to give me a seditive just so they could stand to be around me weighed 99 pounds (102 at my heaviest and wow did I freak out over that 3 pound weight gain!) chick that the other cheerleaders tossed into the air. AS anyone who has been following this blog know things for me haven't been going so well lately. Its hard when love comes to an end. For me just coping seems to be a near impossibility. I think I've missed my flight. What flight you ask...the flight to my life. Its not that I have a bad life...eventhough somedays I do say "damn this sucks". I just feel like...I'm stuck. I try to change things and it just never works out. I try to find different roads to take only to end up at a dead end. But not before I get my hopes up high. Am I the person to blame? Am I not allowing things to happen for themselves and am I being to overly critical? I used to think everyone on earth was here for a purpose.
