'jaws' Actor Roy Scheider Dies
LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (AP) -- Roy Scheider, the actor best known for his role as a police chief in the blockbuster movie "Jaws," has died. He was 75. Another Pair
Just bought another pair of running shoe's, I really didn't need them, we had a big sale on base today on New Balance, and Adida running shoes, I spent almost a hour lookin at running shoe's and trying them on, would of stayed longer but i had to get my ass out to go run. I Need A Break
Okay, so yeah I desperately need a vacation from here!!!! LOL!!!! Just someplace to get away from all the craziness!!!! I don't know where, though I figure someplace warm would be good!!!! At A Loss For Words
I'm at a loss for words right now after hearing about the shootings at N.I.U.'s Campus at Dekalb here in Illinois!!!! I know people who go here and I 'm just at a loss as to why!!!! I must be missing something, but what the hell has this world come to????!!!! I just don't get it. People either randomly killing others or purposely targeting people they know. I really can't make any sense out of it. Now kids who were there to learn won't get that chance, because someone decided otherwise!!!! Last year's Virginia Tech shootings comes to light with this in that school is supposed to be a safe place for your kids to go be it elementary school through college. We're not suppose to have to worry about our kid's not coming home because someone decided otherwise. Wreck
Alright, in case you haven't heard, I got into wreck on Feb. 12, 2008. I"m not gonna go into much details, but a car ran out in front of me and I hit him. I was driving my 18-wheeler. I know for sure his SUV is totaled, but my rig may be fixable. They decided to put me in a different rig. Both of us are ok, no injuries that I know of. I'll try to post some pics of my rig later when I can.

Weird Ass Dream I Had Last Night
ok guys here is the dream i had last night and you guys tell me what you think of it i thought it was weird as hell. I was standing in the street with like 9 other ppl. next thing i hear is a bunch of screaming and a bunch of ppl pail and all dressed like pharo's. there had to be 50 to 100 or more of these things. I think they were daywalkers (if you all dont know what daywalkers are they are vampires that walk during the daytime) well me and the ppl i was with we all hid behind a wall so these things couldnt see us at all. well as these things got closer we all ran into a school and hid in the halls the next thing we knew these things were coming into the school killing everyone well me and the ppl i was with happen to be hiding by a class the next thing we know a teacher come out told us to put our hands over our head i guess to hide our faces. well the next thing i know i poped up and looked i saw these things coming and i told the ppl i was with we need to get out of here.

BIG SPRING - A massive explosion rocked the Alon refinery in Big Spring Monday morning. Residents reported feeling a large blast just after 8:00 a.m. Monday morning. Plant officials reported a total of four injuries. One person has been taken to a Lubbock hospital with burns on his legs. All other employees were evacuated from the plant. Also, a woman passing by the plant in her vehicle was struck by flying debris, however she was treated and released. Alon officials tell NewsWest 9 that the fire is under control, and is no longer a threat to the city of Big Spring. All schools in the Big Spring I.S.D. have been closed. Classes have been cancelled for Monday. Howard College also cancelled classes for the day. The refinery employs about 170 people and produces some 70,000 barrels a day. My Trip To The Grand Canyon
A few years ago, I went to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas in one of those little puddle-jumper planes where they have to weigh you before they let you know where you can sit. We flew over the Hoover Dam and saw the West and North Rim of the canyon. The sun was shining, it was a beautiful day. While we didn’t land and get to take it in from that angle, it was an amazing experience. what it would be like to be a bird for a week? LOL Ok so maybe these meds they have me on right now are really having some serious effects on me, but this really crossed my mind this morning. I was sitting outside swinging...just thinking about the turn of events going on in my life and enjoying the great outdoors. The birds were out chirping, and exploring the first signs of the new spring. Pecking away here...pecking away there. When suddenly I had this brilliant idea that just for one week I would like to be a bird. The life of a bird really can't be that complicated. I would think the hardest part of their life would be trying to find that extra special juicy worm to devour for food. 2am Musings Of The Man With The Broken Neck
These are some musings...and they're random, and pointless... It's 2:20am, I can't sleep. Damn neckbrace won't let me get comfy. I wish I had Mountain Dew. If I'm gonna be kept awake, at least let it be an alert kind of awake. Instead of this drowsy awakeness I got bc of the tylenols I took 3 hours ago. The Fairy Bush
When I was a child I visited some family in Ireland. I had a great aunt who lived on a farm. Well the Irish have a belief in fairies. I love the stories, its a very rich folkloric culture. There was a field on her farm and the only thing in the field was a large bush, called The Fairy Bush. A bush with long thorns. The legend is that you can't climb it without getting scratched, because the fairies will scratch you. I told my aunt I wanted to go out to the fairy bush, she said well you'd better watch out for the fairies!! I remember the mischievous look in her eyes as she said that. :) We went out to the field and I looked up at the fairy bush. It was tall and very large around, who knows how old it was. Enjoying Life!
Things have slowly gotten better for me as time progresses! I have someone in my life that really cares about me and wants to trully be a part of my life! The funny thing is that he and my ex have been getting along somewhat! They have both been picking on me because they say that I am beginning to look pregnant but am unsure! So Tired
Ok let me see, what have I used for a status message the past couple of weeks. I don't care anymore. I am a better workaholic. I give up. Home alone for another exciting evening by myself. My Reality
I base my life on failure. I know that I am wrong for doing this but it hard to fathom it any other way. For a long time regardless of what I have said in the past. The Last Flight!

One Week Down
Monday is the 3 week mark. Its getting so close I can almost taste it. This week was... blah. There was no energy, no electricity in the air. The good news is that I have my summer job locked up, my fishing trip with my friends is shaping up and I got an A on my Alexander the Great midterm. The bad was that I was just dragging ass all week in the gym. I'm doing 1500 crunches everytime but my bike times are down for some reason. My uncle killed himself when I was two years old. 26 years later, our family has still not healed over the loss of him. You can't give up even when you feel like God is peeing on you. Being Honest
The word barely gets out about free support groups that AREN'T 12 step or anonymous, but rather are just regular ol' get-to-gether and "talk about it" support groups. The one I go to is called "Freedom From Tobacco" There are people at the bus stations, outside of nightclubs, in casinos, in bingo halls, etc...that just don't know where to turn, what to do or where to go. Even DOCTORS aren't getting the word out about these support groups. Doctors will harp on you to quit, sure! But it's -not-that-easy-. So then what do doctors do? They give you a prescription for something that costs $100 a month. (I know I can't afford that.) All the while never telling you about free support groups in your neighborhood. Avenue Q
So last night I went to see Avenue Q. My seats where good I was about a row or two in front of where the balcony starts and pretty close to center. I thought it was good. I also thought it was funny. With out giving any thing away really it was cool to walk in and have music playing. The one odd thing was that Gary Coleman was played by a lady. But that being said she was very good. It is part of the musical but one thing that was tough to get used to was some people where people and not puppets. It was still pretty cool and I liked how sometimes the people would make some really cool faces. All in all it was pretty good.

My Daughter
Hello My friends or visitors, I just need a little help your thoughts on this issue. I am a single parent of a 16 soon to be 17 year old girl. She had her tonsils out over this past school year and she has had alot of colds and infection issues since then. Long Story short she will not pass this year and be held back. She wants me to allow her to drop out of school and go for her GED. Changes
So alot has gone on in the last months. I got sick of having a boyfriend that had only had a job 2 months out of the year and a half we were together. I was sick of supporting him. Mother's Day Sucks...
So, the kids were up early today, in and out of the bedroom, bothering me all morning. I got up to go to work, and then got a call that I didn't have to go in until later, which was nice. It was then that I saw that a large glass of kool aid had been spilled on the table and my laptop was sitting right on top of it. So, I tried to clean it off and make sure that there wasn't any kool aid in it, and turned it on. It didn't fry immediately, but the keyboard didn't work. So, I took off all of the keys, cleaned it out, and put them all back on... about a five hour process, and it still didn't work. It was also during the reassembly that it was 2pm and nobody had made a move to make the kids anything to eat, so, I was stressing about the computer, making the kids pizza, which they didn't want, because they wanted something else... Blah... Now I've gotta get ready to head into work for awhile and be gone for the rest of the night...

The Surgery
As many of you know I went into surgery this past friday and I got out today. (Sunday). Sandy and I went to Pitt Memorial in Greenville NC at 5:30 am friday morning. I was in pre-op within a hour or so and in surgery by around 7 30 am I can best guess. I remeber being in pre-op and having the entire surgery team stopping by and different times to discuss what was gonna be done. For those that forgot I was having C6-7 in my neck fused. They took the disc out and put in a piece of bone and fused it all together . I now have C4-7 fused in my neck. So anyway I meet the entire surgical team and they give me a pre shot. That is the last thing I remeber till I got to my room after the surgery. I remeber a couple things from the recovery room. Like seeing my mother and Sandy but then I dont remeber anything. Historic Marine Corps Half Marathon
Just finished my 5th Marathon, I came in 39 out of 3,822 runners, I ran the 13.1 mile run in 1hr and 27 min, I felt really good, maybe it was the sandwich from subway I ate the night before idk, at mile 6 I remember gettin this burst of energy, and the crowd support was really nice, I used the crowd most of the time for a good adrenaline rush, they loved me. I got a chance to chat with martha merz before the race, she's cute in person, this is just a shitty picture trust me, we were pretty much the elite runners in the front of the race. Mary Kate Bailey, a Olympic Trials Marathon Qualifier and former Marine, OOORAAHH! made her appearance winning the Marine Corps Half Marathon, she has also won the 2004 Marine Corps Marathon, yeah i do my history check on runners. I was suprised to see Kathy Switzer at the race, the first woman ever to run the boston marathon back in 1967, and what better appearance to be at than the first ever Marine Corps Half Marathon.
