I was at a local water theme park this weekend. I had on normal swimming trunks (shorts). the waist is tighter and the bottoms baggy. OK, this makes the second account that I have had here. The first one I believe got deleted due to a message I sent out. I went and had my blood drawn on thurs and I usually end up gettin my results the next day. When I called to get them I was told that the machine that processes those samples was down and that they had to have a serviceman come out to fix it but they would give me a call later on in the day. Medication For Depression
I finally went to the doctor about my medication today. She took me off the Effexor and at my request put me back on the Paxil. The Paxil stopped working for me back in April and I stopped it July, and we are hoping that it's been out of my system long enough to do some good again. If anything maybe it will help me until I can get in to see a Psychiatrist who can figure out the best way to deal with my depression and anxiety. I called the Psychiatrist my therapist recommended, but got his voicemail so I left a message with my phone number. I'm sure they are probably closed for the holidays. Ok, i was in a bitching mood and I e-maild a good friend to let her know how things were going. The e-mail pretty much covers most of the last few days, so instead of typing it all out again for a blog, i'm just going to copy and paste the message contents as my blog entry. My pulmonary doc is out of town and her minions aren't doing their damn jobs right. They are nice enough, but they don't seem to have a clue what kind of care I need. I wa

A couple days after my exam I ended up in the hospital with severe enough pain to warrant more testing be done.I had two types of ultrasounds done to be sure.I have a pretty decent sized mass growing inside one of my ovaries.Now it's time for me to schedule and MRI and from their figure out what kind of surgical procedure will be done.At least the ER doctor was kind enough to give me a prescription for something to kill the pain for a little while. Spent the last 24 hours rallying the troops nearby for immediate support around my children.I've called in a couple favors to help me so that once we know for sure what's going to happen..I have a pretty decent shot of having everything covered.. Only one thing has not been adressed yet.. getting my kids to the air port the day they are to leave for the summer.(if anyone local would like to volunteer please contact me asap) For now my darklings...this is the news I have and am holding onto hope that it is not cancerous.

Mediterranean Crusted Chicken
Ingredients 1 egg 1/2 C. heavy whipping cream 1 C. crushed saltine crackers 1/4 C. grated Parmesan cheese 2 Tbs. chopped fresh basil 1 Tbs. garlic powder Salt and pepper to taste 2 lb. skinless chicken thighs 1/4 C. olive oil Directions Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine the egg and heavy cream and beat together well. In a separate medium bowl, combine the cracker crumbs, cheese, basil, garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste. Rinse chicken and pat dry. Dip each piece into the egg wash and then dredge liberally in the cracker crumb mixture. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Fry the chicken in the oil for 5 minutes per side, or until both sides are golden brown and crusty. Place chicken in a 9x13 baking dish and cover with foil. Bake, covered, at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, then remove foil and bake, uncovered, for 15 to 20 more minutes, or until chicken juices run clear. Yield: 6 servings.

I went to the doctors for a checkup...I found out my blood pressure is borderline of being too high....It's just acting up a little bit. My mother had thyroid cancer. My grandmother had problems with it too. And now I'm having problems. For those who are unfamiliar with it. The thyroid controls alot of your energy, your moods and who you are a person really. This is always a big hit when I go to family gatherings. Mediterranean Green Beans 4 cups fresh green beans, cut into 1 in pieces 1 T extra virgin olive oil 1 1/2 t crushed garlic 1 cup chopped seeded plum tomatoes ( about 4 medium) 3/4 t dried oregano 1/4 t salt 1/8 t ground pepper Fill a 3 QT pot half full with water and bring to a boil over high heat. Add the green beans and boil for about 4 minutes or just until the beans are crisp tender. Drain the beans well and set aside. Add the olive oil to the pot used to cook the green beans and place the pot over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for a few seconds, until the garlic begins to turn color and smells fragrant. Add the tomatoes and the oregano, salt and pepper. Cover and cook for 1 minute. Add the green beans to the mixture and toss to mix well. Serve hot.

I take allot of medications for my fibromyalgia and bipolar. I have a personal battle daily with taking them they seem to make me feel worse instead of better. Then my pride is another issue I am only 30 years old and I probably take more meds then most older people do. I don't even fill my pain killers because I was getting addicted even after I told my doctor she still gave them to me so I just tore up the prescriptions and tossed them. Every time I go to see the doctor I tell her my concerns she instead of trying to find me a different med raises my dose of the ones that make me feel crappy and depressed. I feel like I would be better off if I quit taking my meds and just learned other ways to deal with my pain and mood changes. I know I need to change doctors as well and that I have been looking into. Well done with my rant for now sometimes it just helps to get things off my chest.

Medical Update...
So, to update everyone on the Lupus situation... ->Spoke with the dr's office, they DID do a second test in regards to the Lupus testing. The first test WAS positive, but the second test was inconclusive. They will probably re-run the bloodwork in the near future. Current situation, I was sitting down Tuesday evening, and my left arm started to drop outta socket. So I went to the dr today (Friday). Turns out I have a partial dislocation of my left shoulder. The dr ordered x-rays on my shoulder, will only hear about those if they see something bad. I have another appt on Sept 10, but this appt is with the orthopedic specialist. This is going to be the real test , I have a monthand three days till my doctors appointment. Whats going to be the real test is is NOT having a bad or severe seizure between now and then . Maybe if I get at least a good eight to twelve hours of good uninterrupted sleep that might help. But I know certain people that wil try and make sure that doesn't happen , they believe I can function on what they think is appropiate. Thank goodness I will have the house to myself for at least a week , ( hopefully ) . I have been fighting a major one but so far I have not given in . I have basically closed out friends and family and have kept mostly to myself which is not like me at all . I need to find someone who can be like anchor for me to keep me calm during all of this. Medical Update - May 12th
Just got back from hospital where a surgen removed a sample from the "mass" located on the side of my neck. The tests showed that I have Squamous Cell Cancer and so more treatment will be needed down the road. In layman terms that is also called "skin cancer" which is very treatable with high rate of success expected. In about a week from now I go back to the doc to have bandage removed and at that time he willl refer me to another doctor who can do the final treatments. Eather complete removal of the "blob" or they will blast it and make it shrink away. The treatment today has allowed me to regain use of my voice so that I do not sound like a squeeky mouse. Did not have to get any prescriptions other then special pain pills that I can use only if needed and I am the judge of that. Do not need them yet. Otherwise I feel upbeat and and in good spirits.

Did research on internet and found that my skin cancer can be treated with Cryosurgery which is a low risk procedure where they kill the rebel cells by freezing them with liguid nitrogen. The bad news is that my primary doctor is not talking to me but only directed me to yet another doctor which was recomended by the general surgen who removed the tiny sample to testing. Someone who has a sepcialty related to the neck area - "nose and ear" doc. so he can give his input. And he recomended that I get a x-ray scan of the area involved. I just got a phone call about an hour ago from my first sergeant telling me that the Military wants to give me a medical discharge for my asthma. I can see why they would think that because three months ago we were on base conducting our first pre deployment training that consisted of a variety of things from blood work family history dental and physical exercise. I'm really starting to regret agreeing to go into work today. I have no reason to stay home and blow 26 hours of paid leave, but with the wy I feel, I'm starting to wish I had just so I didn't have to get out of bed. I've been feeling pretty sick the last few days. I thought maybe just good old stress. But I'm thinking now it's my medication. I've been back on it for a couple days now and my stomach definiately isn't taking to it. As I layed there in darkness, talking to myself wondering what I did wrong... why me? what did I do to make God punish me? In 4 months time I starved myself to where I had lost 40 lbs.. Med Update -good News Sort Of
The last doctor I saw late friday checked my throat and mouth areas with a snoope probe and found no evidence that skin cancer on my neck acturally spread from those areas - my throat and mouth areas and nose are in healthy condition he reported. So it looks like the doc I am supposed to trust made the wrong speculations. But they still want to conduct a pet scan to confirm what we already know. When I mentioned to the doc about treating skin cancer by freezing the cells dead the got really mad and said that "this is my business and we know what is best for you"' He wants to set up appointment for me to get briefed on radiation treatments that they feel is the best way to go. Which is the only way they can go because the primary group I am involved with does not conduct any alternatives other then the one they claim is the best one.
