Two California Highway Patrol Officers were conducting speeding enforcement on I-15, just north of the Marine Corps Air Station at Miramar . Habitat For Humanity
This year my company sponsored the building of a Habitat for Humanity home. There were two parts of the sponsorship. One was to pay for the initial materials. The other was sweat equity, namely 15 days of work crews to build the place. Each group in our office selected a day. Today was ours. The day started by an orientation from one of the two full time workers on the site. One is an americare volunteer. the other is the site supervisor. We learned about Habitat and how the overhead of the program is all paid through the money made by the outlet stores they have around the country. Therefore every dollar paid goes directly into the building of the home. Even the site supervisor is paid through those dollars. Much of the labor is donated to. From unskilled labor like our group to skilled labor like a local plumber volunteering his shop to handle that part of the project. The family that is getting the house was chosen from a pool of applicants. They are required to put in 250

O.k., for those of you that have talked to me atleast once- this is my new hobby. I have rescently slowed down my drinking very heavily- almost to an abrupt halt. I have found a new hobby. It is paintballing. I get to put my ex-wifes head on all of my targets (which are all guys) and shoot the crap out of them. It does sting but its alot cheaper than going to the bar and wasting my paychecks there. It's 6:13 pm and I'm sitting on my couch. The apartment for once is clean. Recently I was commented by several people on lack of any type of decor at my house. And it struck me: I don't like stuff anymore. Growing up in Russia, I would dream of having my own room, nice furniture, decorations on the walls, etc. Of course those were only wishes. Now that I can actually afford shit, I don't want it. I dont care whats hanging on my walls. I don't have the urge to go shopping. I don't want any material possessions. Not that I can think of. Which is partially good since I can save up on my travels. But weird, since I used to have all these wish lists in HS, and now they are empty. I don't think I care enough about stuff to want it.

CAUTION: Bragging below, but I figured that with all the negative I have posted, it should be allowed. Well, another cool example of life in Kuwait. Today, I had lunch with one of my buddies. I was told that they were playing a new movie tonight, and that they were giving out tickets starting at 5 PM. So at 4:40 PM, I left work, showered, threw on some shorts and a t-shirt, and headed over to the Community Center. I was in line, and the guy was briefing us, that the people in line needed to be warned, there were only 120 tickets available. I went to text my buddy, only 120 tickets, HURRY! My Tale Of A Crazy Moth And How My Rice Krispies Tried To Take Over The World (pt 1)
Today began wonderfully. A little white moth was flitting by my head as I went into the kitchen to fix myself some breakfast. Now I did not register the meaning of the moth's presence until, half way through eating a bland bowl of rice krispies, that I noticed there was something a miss. Sometimes rice krispies have little burnt brown pieces of puffed rice floating around with all the other normal pieces of puffed rice. Can't Explain
I need some time to think. I doubt anyone will read and if they will even care. As another year comes full circle thoughts flood my mind. B-day Blues.... To Say The Least
Well sunday the 29th is my 24th b-day and I'm doing absolutely nothing which isn't new I'm use to it. OH but year's gonna be different! This year Draven and I get to be kicked out of the place we're staying 3 days after my b-day all thanks to my grandma who I always *thought* loved me and her crack head loser husband! Let me give you the run down: We've been living with my grandma since april 2nd and planned to stay til I got a job and could afford to move out. Real true friendship? I think of it as someone who is there when you need to talk or just to vent. Someone who makes time for you, hangs out with you when you need to get away. I know there is alot more to it trust, caring, even love. And there are many levels. Some people are better or closer then others. Lol I have even had a few friends with benifits. Which is nice when it can be kept in perspective. I don't have many friends and I'm not good at keeping long term friends. What does that mean? Does that make me a bad friend or does it mean that the people I decided to befriend aren't very good friends? Often I feel like I have one sided friendships. But when does it stop being "friends" and start being "used"? I don't expect calls everyday or for me to always to be invited to every function

Yay Cookouts!
I'm excited, because we're cooking out tomorrow with friends. I like to cook out a variety of things, but as something new, I think I'm getting tuna steaks and grilling them. I've never done this, but our friend's bf only eats fish and veggies, so the challenge is on. I will probably be scouring the internwet for some interesting recipes, but am thinking tuna steaks, some veggie kabobs, pork chops, and a few steaks for variety. Also some corn on the cob, and maybe some potatoes on the grill. I love corn on the cob, so thats a definite yes. So if anyone has some spices that bring out the flavor of fish on the grill, could you give me a hollar? I have some ideas, but any help would be bueno. well i decided to change my school schedule for the fall.. instead of working 32 (minimum) hours and only taking 2 classes at school.. I am going to work 32 minimum hours and take 5 classes... Mon Wed and Fri Geology 10:00am-10:50am (wheres dio?) Math 11:00am-11:50am Wed only history 5:25pm-8:05pm (louisiana) Tues and Thurs English 10:50am-12:05pm (advanced grammar) Math 12:15pm-1:05pm (remedial) Geography 1:40pm-2:55pm (yay..) I work on mon,tues and sun at 6pm-230am and thurs at 4pm-1230 am... plus sometimes will be working an extra friday or saturday shift so.. in august.. if i disappear and am not around much... im sorry :D

Many of you know that Silver aka Jenny is My Little Sister...what some of you don't know is why she hasn't been online in the past 2 days. She was bitten by a stray cat on her hand & slammed same hand in the door. Infection set in and the antibiotics & anti-inflammatory meds were not working. She went to the doctor yesterday and was immediately admitted into the hospital where she has been on I.V. Antibiotics as well as pain medication & an anti-seizure medication (just to be on the safe side). I have spoken to her twice today & although she is still in pain and the infection is still there, she was very optimistic and wanted me to let everyone know she is ok and if all goes well, she should be home in the next 2-3 days. The only thing she is dreading right now is the possibility of a bone marrow test (to see if the infection has spread that far) and of course the Rabies Vaccinations she has to have since they never were able to trap the cat that bit her. Not The Person I Long To Be
I turn 21 in less then 2 months, and it has just totaly hit me out of the blue the other day, i am not the person i hoped i would be. So I didn't go to New York, (Single Marine Program) they actually left early friday morning, the reason why I didn't go was because I had to take my Physical Fitness Test and it just happend to be the last one for this quarter so I had to do it, every 6 months we have to take a Physical Fitness Test in the Marine Corps. What's The Point In Being A Fan?
I mean, isn't a fan someone who is a fanatical about a person? Fans are those outrageous people who will show you their titties at a concert, or ask you to fuck them in the break room. Looking Out For Friends
from what i've seen and done is always look out for my friends and see who the good friends are and who arn't. true friends stand by you threw thick and thin no matter what the situation is or how hard it gets. i've stood by 1 of my friends and helped her out when she was in need. she was pregnant trying to deal with bills and room mates who were giving her a lot of trouble. i helped her make things easier for when she had her baby girl. with her being a mother dealing with people that gave her shit in her house was very disrespectfull. i don't like people like that. she made me her daughters godfather. i'm happy to always be there for my friends and help get things on track for the better. if you don't stand by your true friends when they need you the most you have some issues you need to deal with. even being there to comfort your friends is a big help in the long run.

80% of so-called paranormal phenomena can be disproved or debunked. It is very hard to prove a haunting by photographs. Photos of orbs are not impressive due to so many other things it could be such as dust, mist or dew in the air, a bug or simply the light playing tricks. Photos of mists or smoke are equally unimpressive due to cigarette smoke or fog. Photos of shadows, you can see many things in a shadow due to what your mind wants it to be. See thru shadows are a little more impressive. Transparent shadows in human form even more impressive, but remember in this day and age digital photography is easily manipulated.

I Can't Decide
I found these two tv stands on craigslist and I can't decide which one. I like them both and they both have good points. And they are both $20. Movies I've Watched This Week (6/20-6/27)
So since I'm not very creative and insightful I have to find things to blog about so I'm going with movies and junk like that because that's what my boring ass does most of the time. So this week watched four movies thanks to the good folks at netflix Once: This was a movie about a guy who works in his dads hoover repair shop and is a musical street artist just because he loves it. Cheating at Gas Pumps... YOU SHOULD KNOW... We saw on the news the other night that this is happening everywhere. Brian pumped exactly one gallon of gas. The price did not match the cost of one gallon, it was higher. He went inside and complained, got a refund. There is also a number on each pump that you can call and complain. This is a true story, so read it carefully. On April 24, 2008, I stopped at a BP gas station in GA. My truck's gas gauge was on 1/4 of a tank. I use the mid-grade, which was priced at $3.71 per gallon. When my tank is at this point, it takes somewhere around 14 gallons to fill it up. When the pump showed 14 gallons had been pumped I began to slow it down, then to my surprise it went to 15, then 16. I even looked under my truck to see if it was being spilled. It was not. It's hard to believe... I can't wrap my mind around it. My uncle Kenny, rock of my world, lost control of his motorcycle last night and crashed into a tree. Riding for nearly 4 decades, it's hard to believe something like this could happen to him. We figure it HAD to be a deer or something. I am a member of VITA(Volunteer Instructors Teaching America). I have been instructing a Viet Namese Lady for nearly 2 years. This lady came to America in 2000 and did not speak a word of english. Within 2 days of arriveing here her appartment burnt down with the cause being faulty wireing. From that shaky beginning this Lady and her family have built a successful business and all have become U.S. citizens. Well for those who have talked to me you know that my wife has now been in labor for 8 days. Yeah it definately sucks. I hate seeing her in pain. Today was a very productive day for Grandma. When I got there at 10:00 AM she was awake and responsive. She was able to write to us on a piece of paper and make certain gestures that we would understand. She said she felt fine but was very hungry. I've been craving an immense amount of attention. However, I haven't been feeling too sure about myself, nor pretty. I wondered what could possibly help out my issue & I figured I'd find something to occupy myself with. *light bulb turns on* I could attempt to apply as a model for Suicide Girls. I may not have all of the tattoos, but I have a love for piercings & my personality is out of the ordinary, completely weird & dorkish ^_^. I enjoy dressing up & dressing down, in the matter of speaking. I'm not afraid to be sexy & still show off my 'dorkish' traits. I already have many ideas for future photosets. Still, I feel like no matter how unique I may think I am, I'm not the type of 'modeling material' they're looking for & I hate the feeling of rejection. Update On The Dog
We got the biopsy results from the vet. The dog was diagnosed with bone cancer in both back legs. The vet gives her at best if we don't put her to sleep she will have only 30 days and most in pain. She is no longer eating or drinking on her own. I hate to seeing her suffer.
