Star Trek 2009 Film
Star Trek 2009.. a fresh face to an old franchise I have an urge to say really bad Star Trek quotes like, "To boldly go..." or "Beam me up..." but I won't. Damn... I think I just did. On Friday, I drug my husband to see the new film. He is not a fan at all, but he knew it meant a lot to me. It is one of the few films I have gone to the theater to see in the last year. The movie itself was really good. I had several "goosebump" moments that would put any trekkie into a giggling mess! This movie is all about giving the old franchise a fresh twist to the classic, not to replace it and I feel they did that (with some exceptions). My husbands only gripe was the in-your-face filming style which I thought made the action squenses even better. I had to laugh when he said, "I didn't need to see Spock's nose hairs.. damnit!" The characters were really well done and I have to give kudos to the actors and actresses. My main gripe with the characters was Bones. In the original series,

Stars & Stripes Event @ Playboy Mansion 5/16/09
So this will be quick but I'll come back and add as I have time. First of all, the Playboy mansion is beautiful and huge...well the outside at least, they didn't let us inside. I walked all around and got more pics to post soon, like the zoo, very cool! The people there were amazing, so sweet and supportive of the charity, Wounded Warrior Project, the auction made a lot of money and if a soldier didn't have a model on his arm he had lipstick on his cheek! I met my personal idol, Metal Sanaz, and after my 'fanboy' moment told her about the concert and she offered to get us a guitar for the auction, also for WWP, from Dean Guitars! Then she gave me her phone number! :D I also spoke to the west coast contact for WWP who was very excited about the upcoming concert and thought I was the coolest, which seemed so silly considering what they've been thru and what they do and extremely flattering of course! Looking upon the beautiful dark sky, you see the sparkling of a special someones eyes, but the sparkle is only polaris (the north star). Pulling your attention off the star you start seeing more of this special someones face seeing the beautiful compliction against the dark sky. You wish you could reach outh and glide your finger tips against this beautiful compliction wishing is was your special someone. The sad thing is that its not really them every night. So I was thinking about this thing I wrote a while ago it was really beautiful. Starke Biker Festival
The festival this year was held on June 5 - 6, 2009 and had a smaller than usual biker crowd, but it was due to the horendous weather we have been getting in Florida for the past month. It rain a good portion of the fest, but everyone who attended took it in stride and still had a good time. Good food, drinks and bikers still keep up and even had a good bike show contest. Starting To Get Fearful
Well...I'm starting to think that the money I just spent to go to Missouri is going to be a waste. It was a one way ticket..with PROMISES to have a way back. Now I'm seeing a status on myspace that has me scared to death. I sign on yahoo and they want me to call them as soon as I can. I can't call right now, the boys are still awake in bed. Starting Point
building model cars is something i have been doing since high school. it was part of a class project to build a model car. i think the first one i did was a 1966 ford fairlane. and from then on i was hooked. i might not build show winners or contest worthy cars but it is something that i enjoy doing. i don't have too many places to show off what i build so i was hoping to start posting pics of what i have been building lately. not too many places carry car model cars anymore so i have to find them wherever i can. usually i pick them up at yard sales and second hand stores. right now i estimate i have about 200-300 kits in my collection. plus about 3 trunks full of parts. what i find most fun is finding a kit that isn't complete and putting my own spin on it. so now what i am gonna try to do is post pics of some of the projects i have worked on and share them with the rest of the world. i hope you enjoy them as much as i have enjoyed bringing them to you.

Start Of A New Lounge
I have started a new lounge. It is called craft corner. Most of us do some kind of craft work. Rather it is crochet, cross stitch, kniting, maybe even wood work or art. Even if its something you dont think of as craft. Most all of us do craft of some kind. Ive found myself and most of my friends looking for a craft lounge where we can go and chat with other crafters. Maybe even trade ideas or patterns. Sometimes its as simple as wanting to show off our work. Now we can. You dont have to do any kind of craft to come in and chat. Star-spangled Fire & Hot Holy Waters
There are often fireworks at the Speakeasy. But since America’s Birthday fell on a Saturday night this year, we worked that fire inside and out, climaxing with panoramic pyrotechnics on the roof, sparkling golden showers on RadioSuzy1 and an explosive Star-Spangled Banner aria in the bar sung acapella by magnificent Malena wearing nothing but Old Glory wrapped around her voluptuous form. The Star Card

Just over two weeks ago, my niece was visiting her grandparents and they noticed a hump on her shoulder. This bothered my sister so, the next day, Monday, she took her to the doctor. The doctor confirmed, my 10 yr old niece has Moderate/Severe Scoliosis. They sent her to get the round of x-rays and bloodwork. She was referred to the orthopedic in another city at the Childrens Hospital. They got in to see him this past Friday. This doctor confirmed the severity of her case of Scoliosis. Well lets see since my horriable month of july most people would say im basically homeless now ! ? Well I will document and post pictures of my time on the streets of lousiville ! Sometimes I feel like starting over is not worth the trouble. Going through my second divorce, I am back in town where my first marriage went to shit dealing with my first x wife the only bonus is I get to see my 11 year old daughter. Ok, I worked out why I couldn't get the images I uploaded to my website, and links to which I put in my stash today, to show up. Image handling in the stash in general throughout the site seems to be nicely stashersmashed. SNAFU'd. Deceased. Have to open images in a new window consistently when they work at all (when they're dead images or just Photobucket-style capped, of course they don't work.) But unless my site's administrator has put a stop on all direct/hotlinking (and I thought that links were being used throughout the stash, not direct image linking, precisely to prevent this; it's sensible to stop at one point or another in the process anyway), the trouble is probably sitewide and relatively temporary...

("allow images from the originating server only"...) - which I had set that way, and recently... Logging off for a bit to do some things. Meep! The stash serves a few purposes: #1- It lets me watch the videos for songs that I've never seen before because I grew up without MTV for the most part. #2- When someone asks what music I like, I can direct them to the stash... most of the good stuff is in there. #3- Its a way to share the music I like, some of which you don't hear very often anymore. Most of the time when I drop stuff in there, I get a comment like, "Wow, I forgot how much I like this song... I'll have to download it." So stop whining or delete me. The rest of you, we're cool and rock on.

Stash Question
I may be a "Noob," but I'm smart enough to not post this in a Mumm heh. Is it possible to upload a song to your stash without it being a video file? I tried uploading a song with the songs URL and that didn't seem to work. Am I doing it wrong or is it not possible to upload a song that's not in video format?

Stash Club Issues
Hi Stash Club, Just a little note to let everyone know that I am not going to be a member of the stash club. This is the reason why. When I first joined, me and my friend Carla (Seejaykaygee) were going to join together. I was accepted and she wasn't. She was told that she couldn't be a part of the club because she COULDN'T have her default pic as the stash club ID. Her photos were full and wasn't able to add any more. She did however, change her name on her page to say that she was a proud member of the stash club, but that wasn't good enough. I try very hard to figure out how to upload some pics into my stash and I'm so frustrated. After loading I'll go back to check and see if the pics are there etc but can't see anything. A g/f and I have been talking about this stash problem fer sometime and well we believe it's bullshit. She's telling me that they had cut them, which I only have seen 2000 in my stash fer the last few days now her and I both have talked with support on what the hell is going on and they say it's a glitch but hell "COM'MON" already, just to long if you ask me. I myself wrote to them and haven't heard one word yet. They need ta get their shit together cause it's pissing off allot of people. Mostly myself and my girl, we worked so damn hard so many hours. The stash you had was using how much bandwidth and cost them how much money..... they have removed them and will not be bringing many of them back as they are cutting the amount allowed and cutting down the bandwidth used by reducing things since folks would post videos, songs, pics and other things in the stash since the normal areas wont let ya put much in them , you've now been told and know where it comes from and why. So I update mt stash and I highly recommend Stephen Lynch. He is hilarious and dirty. One of my favorites next to Bill Hicks. OMAHA, Nebraska (AP) -- Robert Henderson was not fired as a state trooper because he belonged to the Ku Klux Klan and another white supremacist group, authorities said. The Statue
What is it? See below the photo.... This statue currently stands outside the Iraqi palace, now home to the 4th Infantry division. It will eventually be shipped home and put in the memorial museum in Fort Hood , TX. The statue was created by an Iraqi artist named Kalat, who for years was forced by Saddam Hussein to make the many hundreds of bronze busts of Saddam that dotted Baghdad. This may be the only blog ever posted in this title, but I feel I need to mention all of our service men and women and thank them all from the bottom of my heart. They sacrifice their lives every day, every where around the world. A State Trooper stops a man for running a red light. The guy is a real jerk and comes running back to the Trooper. The violator demands to know why he is being harassed by the Gestapo! So the Trooper calmly tells him of the red light violation. The "Motorist" instantly goes on a tirade, questioning the Trooper's ancestry, sexual orientation, etc., in rather explicit terms. The state of Ohio has recently become part of National News. We have have some pretty bad flood waters in the last few days. Water levels in some homes have reached from a few inches to whole homes have been lost to these waters...and even the playgrounds have been effected. I know that for some of you it may not mean much, but if you have a moment to keep people in the state of Ohio in your thoughts and prayers, it can't hurt anything....we have people that are without ANYTHING at this moment car, house, clothes.....they have lost everything. They stood level with each other Poised and both silent the wind picked up the sounds carried into the trees nearby the light bounced from the sky to the ground. they were statues both staring each other down waiting the leaves picked up the rattle the sun cleared the sky no white only blue green underneath this all and both of them still standing the wind stopped and the silence began it was a good day it was a perfect day the statues moved now leaning forward they leaped cross each other shining light flickered as they passed both stayed as they had before then one fell.
