New Client
Ok, so I have this new client. 79 year old physician. He retired three years ago when he started to loose his mind (dementia). He lives in a glorious condo with his dedicated house wife of 50 years. She's 77. He's quite compliant and very willing to accept direction from me but he's been nasty lately to his wife. She's loosing her mind trying to be patient with him. They still sleep in the same bed, the daughter is a psychiatrist and here I am helping him to not drive her nuts. Only deal is that its like looking after a 6 year old all over again. When I was with my last client I thought long and hard about how difficult it must be to have had no children, no living relatives and nobody really there to care and love you. I was thinking shit i need a wife and I need kids quick before I end up alone. Then I see this man, with a dedicated wife, great kids and he's only got the frustration of now knowing what he ate 5 minutes earlier. I see that and I think shit I don't want

New Career!
Just started an internship last Friday -- today was my second day! My first day I hit the "undo" button instead of the "refresh" button, but we laughed about it at the end of the day! Today I replaced a motherboard for the first time! It was very exciting. :-) I couldn't intern at a better place.

New Classic Potato Salad
Have not tried this myself, just putting some recipes I have saved on the old puter and thought I’d share here too :) New Classic Potato Salad 1 bag(1½ lb.) Refrigerated, ready-to-cook red potatoes ¼ cup mayonnaise ¼ cup chopped kosher dill pickles 2 tablespoons finely chopped shallot 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar ½ teaspoon sugar ½ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon olive oil 1 cup frozen whole-kernel corn, partially thawed 1. Cook potatoes according to package directions. 2. Drain in colander under cool running water, 30 seconds. Set aside 3. Combine mayonnaise, pickles, shallot, vinegar, sugar and salt in large bowl. 4. Heat oil in large non-stick skilletover high heat. 5. Add corn and cook, stirring occasionally, 1½ minutes until it starts to pop and brown in spots. 6. Transfer to bowl with dressing and add warm, drained potatoes. 7. Toss gently with rubber spatula to combine Makes 4 servings

New Chapter In My Life
I've been putting off doing this blog since Monday but now I guess I'm ready to get this done. After 29 years my husband and I have agreed to divorce. Not sure yet that I can accept that I'm getting what I want. I will be moving to TN not too far from the MO and KY state lines. Have to finish cleaning out the house and get it fixed up. So I am going to try to stay off here at least 4 or more hours a day. I will at least try to be here for 1 HH a day. I will be here for my radio shows as well. A new case of foot-and-mouth disease has been confirmed in Surrey, government sources have told the BBC. A 10km (6.2 mile) control zone centred on the affected farm near Egham has been put in place, and cattle from the herd are being culled. The new CD by Korn is pretty good, but as usual I'm confused......I can't figure out if it is self-titled or if it's titled "Untitled". The new CD by Linkin Park "Minutes to Midnight" is a mellow one. With the 3rd track "Leave out all the rest" pretty much setting the tone for other songs as well. "I bleed it out" is the reason I bought it, and I gotta say I'm happy with it, when I'm in a writting mood.....lol

A New Chapter In Life...

New Chair
My old desk chair finally broke last weekend... it was so work out that only half the cover on the seat was still there. lol. I used a chair from the kitchen table last week, and that wasn't too comfortable. So today I got a new one. I had one picked out, just like the old one. $49 at Office Max. I saw another one I really liked.. very comfy lol. I figured it was a lot since it reclined and had an ottoman (footstool). On the way to the front of the store I saw a sign... they were only $99. New Club Members
Well... it is happening. I signed up 7 new students from a local high school to join their new nursing club. The adviser for this new club told me to come back a week from Friday because he knows that he will have at least 35 more kids to join by then. It is in motion. And then tomorrow morning I will be at another high school to sign up the first of the students there too. This club idea is working.

I just returned from visiting 2 high schools and I was able to register 62 students into the new nursing club between the two schools. This is exciting... it is all going forward. Going to two more high schools next week.... this is very exciting how this is all happening so quickly.

A New City!
Looks like the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantains may shrink by July 2009! The State currently consists of 39 Cities and Towns but a new line of this years election ballot looks to change that. State Rep Nicholas Gorham (R) [Coventry] says that merging the communities of EXETER, FOSTER, GLOUCESTER, SCITUATE, W. COVENTRY, & W. GREENWICH into a new city; the City of Westconnaug will save the State money. This will reduce the number of Cities and Towns in from 39 to 35. Gorham believes that such a merger will save the State and the effected Communities in the long run. This will create a unified School district, Police, Fire, and City Government. Rather then the finical burden of 6 towns they will combined their resources in to a single entity. What does this mean, it means a loss of jobs for many! Right now there are 6 police Chiefs, Mayors or Town Managers, School Superintendents, Fire Chiefs etc. The unification of these towns would change that to 1 of

new CD to be released March Whiskey Creek will be finishing the latest CD "Whiskey Creek On The Rocks" at 2 Cats Studios this week. The CD will be released the second week of March. New Computer!!
Today, I finally bought a new computer. It's an HP laptop. AMD Turion x2 Dual Core processor running at 2.0 gHz. 2 GB RAM 250GB Hard Drive Firewire and media ports. CD/DVD RW drive. 17" Widescreen monitor. Windows Vista (I'm going to see if I like it - I understand that I can still downgrade back to XP if Vista is a pain in the ass). So far, I'm happy with it. Also, with the various media ports, this new computer enables me to pick up the movie project again. I'm finally able to transfer the video into the computer for editing. This machine also has enough juice to perform the editing and video rendering. Hopefully, Zombie Death will finally be ready for Summer Horrorfind, 2008!

New Car
Forgot to tell you, I bought a new Lexus LS 430 last Thursday, and returned to the dealer Friday because I couldn't get the damn radio to work. A New College.

New Car...
Well after selling my car cause some crappy friends wouldn't pay me the money they owed me, even though they had it, in my time of need I'm starting to look for a new car. It looks like since the sell of the car, a bunch of extras paid off I may be able to purchase a new car. I'm seriously wanting a Honda Fit, unexcited car to keep me out of trouble, safer than a Civic and gets the fuel economy close the the Toyota Prius without the soil damaging battaries! Cargo room is abundant and the seating arangement is comfortable. I've see a 6'2" guy sit with plenty of room in the back and it a subcompact or car "smaller" than a Civic. Civic is more for the wannabe performance drive now anyways and not work commute, I'm a dad friendly car. My wife wants an HHR. Now that everything is fixed up and ready to go, my spare time is a bit okay now that I can put everything together where they are suppose to be. New Clothes/long Day
What a great, busy day, I lost weight and well my jeans were falling off me, after my meetings I went to the store, bought myself a pair of skinny jeans (yes be jealous haters, I am back into skinny jeans ROFL) anyway, then I bought a cute pink top to go with the black skinny jeans. Lately I'm on this kick tryng new drinks or drinks I was afraid to try before. This new blend of heaven I tried last night is called a "shmeckle". If you haven't tried it before, do it! In a shot glass a cherry is put in with 3 parts liquor. One part Blue Caraco, one part vodka, and the last is filled with Bacardi 151. Then you drop it in a glass of Red Bull and slam it down! You can't taste any alcohol and is sweet like a jolly rancher. Let's just say once you have a few it all catches up. I hope you try it. New Digital Camera! :)
So I had a feeling my father had gotten me a digital camera for Christmas. When we were at my brother's on Thanksgiving he was showing us his digital camera and everything it does. I loved it and wanted to get one for myself. Anyway, with the holidays and buying presents for people I've been a little strapped for cash and had planned on getting one after the holidays were over. Now I don't have to :). Its a pretty cool camera. It takes pictures and video. My sister and I have been making movies all morning of us saying random things and laughing our asses off. Well my dad and sister went out for a couple of hours and I decided to take shower pics for this site. Well I probably should have read the manual before attempting that cuz I didn't hold the button down long enough each time and so the photos I took didn't save. Waste of time. Oh well, shower pics to come EVENTUALLY. At least I now know how to take pics with my new camera. Believe it or not taking video was the easier of the two

New Drummer
we have decided that it's time for a change. inspired by Willie wanting to move to guitar, and me not wanting to do drums and singing at the same time anymore (though fun, i'd like to focus on one or the other. plus, main vocals coming from the back of the stage is somewhat awkward), we've decided that i'm going to move to bass/main vocals, and thus, we need a drummer. so, if you know anybody you think is atleast at my level or better (and really, in the world of drummers, i'm not THAT great), send 'em my way, please! and if they'd like to hear us before saying hey, i wanna try out, send em to ourspace at http://www.myspace.com/theveiluponarise thanks a lot! A New Day
Well, I must apologize to my friends for being away for awhile. A lot of changes have happened to me. First, I moved from my house into an apartment not too far from the house. I wanted to keep my children in the same schools. I moved because I could no longer afford the house. I'm fine with it. It wasn't easy for a single mom of three to pay for a house, but I did it for almost three years. I like the new apartment. It has space, with exception to my closet (I really miss it!) lol. Second, I had surgery on my right hand on 2/15. I had a arthritic bone in my right thumb and I had it removed. I'm still in recovery but I'll be fine. It's going to take a minute to work out the stiffness and soreness. I return to work Monday. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. lol And third, my birthday is in 10 days. I've thought of not doing anything but i deserve to celebrate something. When I moved into my house three years ago, it was a week before my birthday.

New Diet
I was in ASDA buying a large bag of Winalot for my dogs and was in line to check out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog........ Duh! I was feeling a bit crabby so on impulse, I told her no, I was starting The Winalot Diet again, although I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost fifty pounds before I awakened in an intensive care unit with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IV's in both arms. Her eyes about bugged out of her head. I went on and on with the bogus diet story and she was totally buying it . I told her that it was an easy, inexpensive diet and that the way it works is to load your pockets or purse with Winalot nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The package said the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again. Just joined and am trying to figure out how this thing works so be PATIENT with me. I have to go to a job interveiw, it is a lot harder to get a job now then it use to be. I had to go throught 2 days of testing and now I have to go through 3 interviews. One with the head of human resources and one with the board of employees and then one with the plant manager. Today has been a complete turn around..I feel more like the old carefree J I use to be. Alright, last night was the moment of truth, she moved her stuff back in, and it went very well. We talked and there were no harsh words said, by either one of us. I explained how I felt I had been treated and she listened. She explained why she did what she did. For those of you that read my blog on the passing of my father, I thought that I would share a little more with you about today. Again, feel free to ignore or reply. Today I went back to work. Honestly, I wasn't sure that I would make it through the day. I woke this morning so angry. Everyone at work was wonderful to me and so understanding. Lt. S called me to his office and ask if there was anything he could do. He could see how I was struggling to hold things together. We talked for a few minutes with me telling him how angry I felt and not sure why I felt that way. I wondered if there was something wrong with me that I was angry at everything.
