New Job
I have a new job been there about one month. I finally salaried and benefits. It's been good so far; just so much work. I lot of things are broken and need maintenance could take me months to fix stuff. I'm almost done with the backups. Just have to keep going.

know I haven't posted in a while, but hey I been busy. The Bungee Corp is on the way. J.C. at AnimeNext Sold over 75 comics and posters. MangaNext up next in October. I hoping to have some stuff ready for it but between change jobs and looking for an apartment I been so busy. An now school.

While Daddy Was In Iraq....
My hubby and I were on the web cam while he was on his Iraq tour and I just started busting out laughing. He wanted to know what was making me laugh so much and I told him to imagine Tom Cruise in that movie where he was wearing sunglasses, business shirt, socks and undies and was lip singing to "Old time rock-n-roll". He said "Ok....". I told him that our daughter was at one end of the hall running toward our room off the end of it she would slid like that in front of our door and would say "Mommy, look what I can do!! It's fun! Lonely
Ok, before anyone gets on to me about the whole "how can you be lonely I love you" thing I want you to sit back and think about where you are and where I am in comparison and realize that yes, you may say you love me, you may say you worship me, but you are there and I am here, so it really doesn't help much. New Year's Crap
Wow. Ghostly Experience
Okay... so I posted a MuMM about this and people asked for more. I already wrote about the telephone cord For people who don't understand what I mean, before cordless or cell phones every phone had a curly cord that hooked the receiver to the base. The phone I am talking about was a wall unit and the receiver had a cord that had been stretched out over 10 feet or more so when the phone was on the base the cord actually hit the floor below (about 5 feet or more of cord). What I saw was the cord lifted out as if someone was holding the very bottom away from the wall. There was a slight curve to the cord like the person was about 3 or 4 feet from the wall. The cord hung in the air perpendicular to the wall for about 5 seconds then dropped. When it dropped it swung as if someone had just dropped it. The person who was with me turned to me and said "Did you see that?" Also people would report hearing footsteps on the floor above when no one was home (usual stuff I know

Tempur-pedic
Although I may not have spelled it right it's still a funny story. lol We were visiting my hubby's grandmother in La. and one night as we were getting ready for bed our 8 yo son (turning 9 in Nov.) asked his great-grandma "Grandma, do you have a tempur-pedic pillow?" we were like HUH? how does he know that? lol the funny part is that he knew what it meant!! LMAO She answered "No baby." We all laughed and he said "Really! You know the kind of pillows like the beds where when the other person gets out of bed and you can't feel them moving?" We about died, see we (parents) each have a select foam pillow and he knows that. We think that is what made him ask her that.

Missing Life's Milestones
I was sitting at my computer which faces out into the hall way and I heard my baby nephew, Isaac, babbling as he made his way down the hall. I turned my head to see him walking all on his own and I started to cry. My family looked at me like I was crazy. It was the first time I had seen him walk by himself and it occurred to me that I am missing so many of his milestones while I am at work and I can't help but wonder what is going to be in store for my children. Am I going to be at work when he starts to roll over, sit up, scoot and walk? I know it's all part of life. Adults work to support their family but at what cost? Is it all really worth it when you miss those milestones that you will never get back? I'm sad now....very, very sad.

Day At The Zoo
Today I took my Little Sister to the Zoo. I capitalized that not because I don't understand capitalization rules, but because she is my assigned Little Sister through the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program. Now, let me be absolutely clear on something. I am not a Big Sister because it makes me feel all self-righteously pleased with myself for Giving Back to the Community. (Although I do feel that way, in the darkest depths of my being. Shush, Oh Self-Righteously Pleased Part of Myself. I don't like you!) I am not a Big Sister so that I can put that in my online profiles and people can compliment me on Giving Back to the Community (although they do). I am, in fact, a Big Sister because hanging out with a happy, cool kid is fun. Especially a cool kid who is appreciative of every opportunity to do something a little different, even if it involves slave labor helping Big Sister make ten dozen Christmas cookies. Not that I'd ever make my Little Sister do that, of course.

Am I always going to be alone? All I seem to find are guys that want to be fwb or want one-night stands. I want more! Is it just me or does a disproportionate amount of roadkill these days happen to be skunks? I must have passed 7 or 8 of them today. Pungent, stinking messes that make you nose burn as you drive by. It is amazing when life calls on us to fufill the missing pieces to another human being(s) existence. Such endevours, should we choose to accept them, require us to be selfless, brave, giving, compassionate and even test us to see if our morals are in place. Rather than run from such tests.. I embrace them. For surely they are the workings of some higher power.. to see what kind of human being we really are. Do we practice what we preach? Do we truly give of ourselves without reservation or hesitation? Do we uphold and teach unto others the morals and virtues that we would want bestowed upon us? Okay, well I have found that drinking a coffee before going to bed just isn't a good idea for me..because now, I am wide awake. One of my friends posted an interesting thought on toxic people..and their affect on us..as well as their presence in our lives. I have spent time pondering this notion..of how someone can 'poison' our own private world so to speak. What makes someone feel or think that they are better than anyone else? Is it the money they make?? Is it the publicity that they get on a daily basis?? Is it the fame that they have through a talent that is not theirs..but a gift from a higher power?? How do they decide who is good enough?? When someone like this enters our lives..in whatever way they have..it leaves little choice but to make decisions quickly..for our own sake. Does one persist to prove that they themselves are worthy of their acceptance..or does one keep their own pride..and let them be..to roll around in their own 'glory'. To this deep thought I say...you need not ever 'prove' yourself to someone. If they cannot see that you are a good person..then don't get down on your hands

That is exactly what it is when it comes to getting what you want and need in your life..by persuing it..or waiting for it to come to you..it is a fine line. One person might see it as being overly aggressive..when you persue something you want with all your heart and soul..that sometimes it is better to wait a bit and have it come to you slowly. On the other hand, someone that sits back a bit and lets things progress at its own speed..might see that as being too passive..and the risk of losing it even before you have it could be the painful final result. Rock Am See Festival
Last Saturday my roommate Kurt, and I went to the Rock am See (rock at the lake) Festival in Konstanz Germany. Being the cheap bastards that we are, we decided not to rent a car for 130 euro ($180)+ gas for the 400 kilometer journey. Instead we optioned for the round trip ticket on the slow train for 35 euro (50 bucks) each. After foolishly partying the night before, we left at 7am with a refreshing 2 hours sleep. 8 hours and 5 transfers later, we arrived at the show an hour before my favorite band (NOFX) hit the stage! NOFX was putting on a GREAT show, that I was enjoy as much as possible, in the german equivalent of a mosh pit. (they don't really mosh, they just "pogo" jumping up and down, bumping into each other) When halfway through "the Brews" the PA system went down, and we lost all sound. Ok my wife wanted me to type out this dream since for some reason i still remember it to detail.. Got word early this morning (9/2) about Julie's recovery from open-heart the other day. They still have her on a machine, but it's only doing about 50% of the work--Julie's heart is doing the rest! This Time Is The Right Time
TIMING IS EVERYTHING!!!! Sometimes, well no, most times I get it wrong. Not necessarily my actions....just the timing. Omg!!! What A Weekend, And Its Only Sunday
Labor Day Weekend at Long Fork. WOW!!!!! The place is packed and free alcohol. What more could a person ask for? I know, throw in a tattoo artist and a body piercer. And this was just Saturday's festivities. Yes I did finally get the nerve to get my nipples pierced. They look awesome (no I don't have pics yet, so don't ask). According to the guy, I have the perfect nipples for piercing. Imagine that. Yeah, there sore as hell today, but it was worth it. The tattoo guy did six tatts while he was here and the piercer did nine piercings. They didn't get done til after 2:00 AM. In general, it was an awesome day around here.

This is an old family recipe, that I have served over and over. After every get together, I am asked for the recipe. INGREDIENTS: * 2 chickens, cut and shredded (I use boneless chicken breasts) * 1 cup chopped onion * 1 cup chopped celery * 1 cup chopped green bell peppers * 2 T. Butter * 1 (10 oz) pkg. noodles or fettuccine, cooked & drained * 1 tsp. garlic salt * 1 can (4oz) mushroom pieces, drain * 1 can cream mushroom soup * 1 can cream chicken soup * 1 cup sour cream * 1 small jar pimento, chopped * 1 (8oz) can sliced water chestnuts * 2 cups shredded cheese (I use more as we like cheesy things) PREPARATION: Cook chicken and shred. Back in the day, computer programs (like Excel '97) would have what were called "easter eggs": random little stuff hidden within the app, put there by bored and mischievous programmers. As it turns out, there's one of those clever individuals at Google. In the latest version of Google Earth, if you press Ctrl+Alt+A a simple flight simulator comes up! Once you use it once, it's available in the toolbar, also. I normally don't care one way or another about flight sims, but seeing the Cascades in the distance as I looked down upon the -real- Seattle felt different from the approximations in games like MS Flight Simulator. I can't wait to get to my force-feedback joystick (with my stuff in storage on Oahu), since joysticks are supported. There are two planes to choose from, and if the feature becomes popular, hopefully more will be added. Just had a light earthquake just big enough to feel for a few seconds. It occurred at 10:29 AM (PDT) today, Sunday, September 2, 2007. The magnitude 4.7 event occurred 8 miles(13 km) WNW of Lake Elsinore, CA. Which is due east of where I live here in Anaheim, CA and approx 30 + miles away. The hypocentral depth is 2 miles (2 km). It was a sharp shake, followed by a few seconds of a 'sliding motion'... trust me, they all have different feels to them! This was extremely minor and just one of those you stop, then shrug and go about your day kind of quakes. Trust me, we like these :) and nothing like a hurrican or tornado, and even if a quake is a bad one, they are years in between and still, tornados and hurricanes are every year swathing a path of destruction.

Thinking
I'm sitting here at work thinking about all of my friends and family that are in the armed forces. I've got guys and girls in every kind of force such as the Army, Navy, Air Force, and the Marines. I support them and I'm so very proud of them doing something so great but at the same time I am so tired of getting the horrible phone calls telling me that someone else that I love has died. My best friend in the world (hes like a brother to me) is leaving for the Marines tomorrow. I've spent so much time with him and I talk to him everyday and now I wont be able to see him until he gets back from boot camp around Christmas time. I dont want him to go but at the same time I understand how much he needs and wants to do this. Hes been talking about it since we were so little. Yesterday I went to Auburn Univ's season open again Kansas State (or those who don't read my profile I'm an Auburn Univ Alum so War Damn Eagle!!!). I got into town around 10 central time. Day 2
As most of you know from just talking to me or reading previous blogs my mother has been very sick, she had cancer which is now in remission but the radiation treatment messed up her intestines. She had part of them removed. Shes was in the hospital for almost 8 weeks. On the first day whatever could of went wrong did. I wont go into detail because its not very pleasant. We have a great nurse thats comes in. Shes very helpful and patient. Shes teaching how to take care of my moms machines and other things. Now the family everyone seems to know whats best but when it comes down to it no one wants to step up and say hey Ill spend the day with her so you can have a break....family you gotta love em. X-fest
ok X fest yesturday was bad ass. Nothingface started it all off followed up by Black Stone Cherry. Now those guys picked up the pace of things.
