I prayed today Today, I prayed for the lives lost in 9/11 knowing that their lives were lost in vein, taken prematurely from their family's, knowing that I still have mine. I cried today because I know we lost so many soldiers because of this event, and knowing some of those who were KIA will forever touch my heart in a way that no other can. I smiled today because I know those who lost their lives are still walking the streets with their brothers who are still serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. the two youngins over here are using an air mattress as a slide. i've told them to stop but they don't feel like listening to me. so as i watch them i see that they've decided to prop it up against the coach, climb to the top, and slide down. btw the door is pretty much right in front of their little makeshift slide. So today started off normally wasted an entire class on myspace cause I'm that guy. Got a call from this girl jenny wanting a lift out to woodbury which is fine, untill I relized it was in minnesota. Got a call from mikey before I even got out of town saying Donnie forgot his cell phone in my car which explained the weird beeps I thought my stereo was making. Anywho we swing by the shop, and what ever drop his phone off and Mikey tells me and Jenny to go inside we need to take care of some business. Walking to the back room seen a bunch of flowers on the jewlery case and nearly busted a gut. The flowers were from the failed prank Cookie Girl tried to play on mikey with a batch of Milk of Magnesia (laxative) cookies he gave to him, then he called every one up freaking out saying his girl who is a confirmed epileptic had a fierce allergic reaction and having seizures and is being rushed to the hospital. These flowers are from people feeling bad about it, and we all got a good laugh.

After a month and a half without a computer, I finally get one of my machines returned by the FBI and immediately get attacked for "letting my daughter be kidnapped". I fully support the troops that we have sent over there and i wish a safe and short stay for every man and woman over there. I full believe that the world is a safer place now that Saddam and his bunch have been taken out of power and are going to get some real justice, which is more than they gave some of thier own people through the years. well yea so now im in iraq and now that i have no way of meeting ppl everyone that i know online wants to meet with me wow lol anyway so heres what my day looks like. i start out by being on post as Corporal of the Guard for 5 hours, then after my 5 hours of walking around making sure everyones awake, i get to be on react for 10 hours. after this time i get to serve another 5 hours of post, followed by 10 hours of rest, which is normally turned into working parties for around the base. Hello everyone, this is my first attempt at a serious blog. While I have only been on this site for a short while it has come to my attention that there is a lot of support for our troops in Iraq. Im glad that there is, as I think they are incredibly brave young men and women doing a great job under incredibly difficult circumstances. That said I myself am opposed to the war in Iraq. That is not to say I think we should pull out now....that would be disastrous....but I do think we need to question our leaders judgement in sending our troops there in the first place. I was watching Real Time with Bill Maher the other night (I've been stewing on this since Friday night) and an interesting point about sacrifice and the war was made. When you think about it only a small number of Americans have truly sacrificed for the War in Iraq and the War on Terror esp. when you look back at previous wars, most notably World War II. World War II was won largely because of the sheer industrial strength of the United States. People were willing to give up certain goods so that they could help win the war. For example auto manufactures switched many of their plants to produce tanks, jeeps, planes, etc so that the soldiers had all the equipment (and then some) that they needed when they needed it. I am looking forward to Iraq for a few reasons. First off, I am very patriotic. I know (not think) that is the most honorable thing to do. I am not a war monger. Simply, I believe something has to be done. It's not going to get itself done. Better me than some kid who doesn't want to go. The one thing I love most about it is that it isn't the stupid Army we have back here in the States. I mean, the Army is the Army. Rather, it is where you actually do your job. No stupid training with blanks or laser tag gear. That's what I love more than anything. You put all the years of training to test, as one of the world's most powerful fighting forces. It sure does make my pee pee get long. When I was over there the first time, I realized everything I took for granted. Being able to get in your car and drive to a fast food restaurant. Calling a friend over to kick it. Being able to cook your own food. Going to clubs, drinking, and everything else social. And most important no family or frien

Many American's supposedly cry for the end of the Iraq conflict. I pose this scenerio. Would they be feeling the same way should another tragedy befold our Great Nation? I think not. I don't even think most have taken the time to realize that as long as we're fighting Al Qeada in Iraq & Afganistan. We're that much safer here in the states. Basically I feel whether you're liberal or conservative, neither of which I feel I am. However, back to the point. Either way we are all American's young & old alike. Iraq Aftermath
It's been a pretty rough night tonight. My son has a friend in town that has been stationed in Germany, but is deploying to Iraq in a few days. It seems to have pushed him over the edge. He came home drunk tonight and tore the house apart. He tore shelves off of the wall, put holes in the wall, broke the porcelain on the toilet, threatend to kill me, etc... Yes, my son suffers from post tramatic stress syndrome. He is not the same small town boy that went to Iraq a couple of years ago. I almost had to call the police tonight to help me get him under control. Fortunately, my neighbor is also an Iraq war veteran from the Gulf war and I went and woke him up. He came over and talked my son down until his best friend could arrive from the next town over. His best friend is here now and is removing all of the weapons from the house. well, its another boring day in Iraq. For anyone who does not know me, I am an engineering consultant who works mainly in warzones. In the past 22 years I have been involved in many world conflicts and currantly am in Iraq for the 5th time in 17 years. I live in a mancamp about 25 miles southeast of baghdad. It is faily quiet here at the moment, I have been here when there was much more turmoil in the area. It used to be constant gunfire and mortar attacks but now it is quiet except for motars off in the distance. I am building a Power Station for the Iraq Ministry of Electricity. I work for Dr. Kahrim, the Minister of Electricity. I work 12 hours a day 7 days a week until the job is complete. I have been here 1 month now and I have the first unit ready to run. Ok I'm getting irritated by all the people out there who claim that they are in the know about Iraq. Most claim that we are here because our government lied to us. I guess 4 years clouds the memory pretty good. So here is a little refresher for all you out there who claim that you were lied to. That date came a went without him allowing the inspectors in. I just found out that one of my guy friends is going back to Iraq for the forth time. As if that's not bad enough he just got married a little over 3 or 4 months ago so he is a newlywed and a new father to his wife's 2 boys. His wife is also in the service and if she is sent to Iraq there won't be anyone to look after the kids and that's a really sad thought. With that being said I heard through a mutual friend of mine and theirs that my friend's wife is trying to get pregnant just so she doesn't have to worry about even being called into action and while I can see her stand point at the same time I don't know if I agree with a child being born under circumstances like that, He or she would be a child of connivence rather than a child conceived from an act of love and maybe I am wrong for seeing things that way but I just can't help it.

Hello to all my friends out in fubar land. Well here is a little update from Iraq. the past couple of weeks have been very quiet in my sector. Not really to much to write about in the field of battle. There is a little to mention out there about what i have done so here it is, Well my squad is down to 6 men n we still function nas if we are full strenght of 12. We have raided several houses and captured several high value targets. Most are at night when we raid the house but there have been a couple that have been during the day. When u would think they were not home. guess they thought we would not go looking for them,,Boy did we fool them....Well thats all i have for now will get back and post a lil more when i have time....tks for the support..

So I just recently got back from Iraq one of many deployments. The main difference is this time when I got home my reason to return home was gone. I came home to an empty building where a family use to reside. Why I don't know She does but she isn't talking she just wants to pretend like nothing is wrong. 3. Iraq And Beyond
I just re-read my last blog. I am quite glad I found the patience to wait on the man who could meet my requirements. Now I have the great chance to exercise my patience while waiting for both of our tours in Iraq to end. He is currently deployed, scheduled to come back from Iraq when I'm scheduled to get there. Hello everybody. It has been a while since my last posting and things have been busy.
