So out of no where 2 days ago we got a phone call that an aunt of mine lost her battle to cancer. She has battled breast cancer for 5 years and was actually in remission but then it came back and nothing could be done for her this time....So just like that she was gone. Feels like i was hit hard in the stomach and can't breathe. Cancer is like the nastiest word in the english language to me. In october it will be 2 years since I have lost my grandmother to cancer and I still have not recovered from that. Well Folks, for those who don't know... I am a Hodgkin's Lymphoma patient. Hodgkin's Lymphoma, for those who don't know, is a cancer. While not RARE, is is less common. It is also one of the most EASILY CURED! WOO-HOO! yeah, right. When I was first diagnosed (March 2001), I was told, by numerous doctors that if I was to have to choose a cancer, Hodgkin's was the one, because it was the most easily cured. WELL, somebody forgot to tell MY Hodgkin's this. I did 8 months of Chemotherapy in 2001, had 2 lung surgeries, had a port-a-cath "installed", NUMEROUS tests, I have no idea how many CAT-scans, hospitalized three times. I got the all clear in January 2002; and was THRILLED. (left my husband Labor Day weekend 2002) Damn it all, I did a big move/job transfer/job promotion in July/August 2005. With their highly-anticipated new album “Black Ice” to be released in October, AC/DC have announced U.S. dates for their upcoming world tour. These are just some musings, I could be right, I could be wrong. You often here the question "What do women want?" Well I think the answer is strength. How does it work between men and women? How is it supposed to work? What do men have? Men are physically stronger, they have something like 50 times the level of testosterone that women do. Testosterone is what builds muscle, that's why athletes pump themselves full of it, steroids. Men never have to carry a child, they are never that physically vulnerable. What do women have? Women have beauty. Their bodies are soft, they are smaller, and they carry babies which makes them vulnerable. They need help to get through that, someone basically to do the hunting and fishing. Could It Get Any Better?
Man oh man do I have it bad...can't stop thinking about her, always finding myself looking her general direction and mornings waiting for her to be on or for her to call.....ya I have it bad but damn do I love it!!! Metallica fans can sigh in relief for a while. The new album "Death Magnetic" has been released. No more crap like the shit that came from the last album. This time the four horsemen have returned with much heavier and faster riffs. The track "All nightmare long" is one of my favs on the cd, but damn near all of them have a much better "METAL UP YOUR ASS!!!" rhythm than St. Anger. Should I Stay Or Should I Go?
Ok, now I come to some serious questions...things I have been thinking about a lot lately. my 4yr old starts school today!!! i'm a bit worried as to how she will go on,i didn't worry about her sister as much cos she is so easy going nothing much worries her and she just goes with the flow. the 4yr old on the other hand is strong headed and has a very strong will to do what she wants,she will tell you not to shout at her if you do and gets very stroppy very easy. its going to be interesting to see what the teacher says at picking up time.

9/11 Freedoom And Sadness

The sun is out now and I get heat rash being out in it.Tomorrow there is rain in the forcast.I don't mind going out in the rain. Been working this past week on my bed frame project. I raised the bed up off the floor about 2 feet and now using the space to store my junk. I have more room now. I face another work nite and it would be my last 1 of the week but I told a associate I would fill in for her Friday for 5 hours. I face the weekend with 12 hour shifts Sat and Sunday. Hopefully a co worker will fill in for me Mon and Tues so I can have some time off to relax and drink a few boilermakers.

Just Bored
I just wanted to update my friends. A few of you have been asking about my weight loss and working out.. I am still working out pretty regularly. I weighed in today I lost 6.8 pounds if the 30 I want to loose..I am happy about that. Slow but thats the best way. We made it threw Hurriane safe I think I may have said that already in a blog. there is an old limestone quarry about a mile away from my house, and i noticed recently that the property is for sale. it's a really cool piece of land covered with trees. the quarry itself is a large hole in the ground about 100 feet deep with a pond at the bottom of it. the thought entered my head to buy it and turn it into some kind of recreation area. i would advertise it by putting up a billboard on the interstate. it would have a picture of me with a big cheesy grin on my face, giving the thumbs up. next to my picture, there would be a caption that reads "come see my big hole".

i have this coffee cup. i guess it's not so much a cup as it is a small tank. it holds 32 oz of pure, mountain-grown bliss. i fill it up and empty it at least two times every day. i hate the thing. i got it during a moment of desperation when i was driving home from one of my many out-of-state work excursions. it's too big, has really stupid graphics on it, resembling tire tread, and the base is an actual rubber tire. i believe the base is designed so that it won't slide around when you have it sitting on the dashboard of your car. i can't set it on the dashboard because it's too tall, and the windshield prevents it from fitting. so i put it between my legs. i was driving back to work from lunch a little while ago with a newly-filled tank of coffee. i went to raise the tank to my face so's i could enjoy a sip of its divine nectar, but the rubber on the base hung up in my pants. i grabbed the tank by the top so's i could more easily pull it straight up, and the lid popped off. appare
