As some of you know, I am sometimes a deep thinker... not always, sometimes a little off kilter... but I have my moments... Well. Here is something that I have learned in thinking.... Understanding is everything. This seems an unusual comment, but just think about it. Understanding is what makes you intelligent. Smart, not knowing a lot, not being able to ace tests and such, actual intelligence. Without understanding, what are you? Nothing. I would even go as far to say that understanding and compassion are the most powerful thing. Pretty much everyone has heard the saying "Love is the most powerful thing" etc etc... but without understanding yourself, your emotions, and others.... how would your love even be possible. No one takes time to understand others, themselves, or the world around them. People would not do the downright stupid shit they do if they took time to think, to understand. I have made a change in my top friends again. Now the person in the #1 spot is a true friend. As for the one who was on the top of my list, he is now way at the bottom. well,,FIRST--my BABY is a collegeeeee...GRAD...she went from higs school the next Monday to college and she is now a Grad..In Florida and taking job interviews..while in college she was full time student and two jobs....now she might get a little rest.. Second...sorry I have been so busy..with Grad,,and helpin my (81yr) mom take care of brother (58) with stroke and paralization,,,he was never married.. The heating unit went out in my dryer. The guy that fixes things went in to the dryer pulled out the lint filter. It was clean. We always clean the lint from the filter after every load of clothes.He told us that he wanted to show us something. He took the filter over to the sink, ran hot water over it. Now, the lint filter is made of a mesh material - I'm sure you know what your dryer's lint filter looks like. WELL...the hot water just sat on top of the mesh!!! It didn't go through it at all!!! He told us that dryer sheets cause a film over that mesh that's what burns out the heating unit. You can't SEE the film, but it's there. This is also what causes dryer units to catch fire & potentially burn your house down with it! So last night I had taken 10 shots of Goldschloger and put the bottle back in the freezer, I had also took a Soma and a Fioricet. Well I apparently got online here on Fubar and was chatting away and went and got the liquor back out and sat here at the computer and drunk half of it. Surprise! I woke up this morning with the rolly stomach and having to hold on the the walls to make them quit moving. I finally vomited twice, both times that lovely yellow then green bile awful tasting crap. I was married and my Wife passed away from colon cancer... I did everything i could to be the best husband possible and i wish that the children still had there mother here with me to raise them. So we ended up back in the er tonight.... Becky came over, we were looking through wedding dresses and next thing I know Onyx is limping on her paw.... We grab her to look and she popped one of her scabs open.... I call the vet they say to just wrap it, she wouldnt let us... Last night, Joe treated Andrew and me to eighteen holes at the local miniature golf course. We arrived there around 9pm, hoping they would still be open. They were! Yay! There was an "unofficial" bet placed that Joe would wipe up the greens with us. LOLOL! By the end of the first nine holes, it was obvious who was doing the greens wiping! Andrew had TWO holes in one in the first nine holes! Joe and I tried to keep up with him......well, we got an A for effort, but couldn't catch up. In a little side note, someone put laundry detergent in the waterfall at the back of the golf course. There is a little river attached to the waterfall, that runs all through the golf course. Laci Raine.. My Doxie
When I saw Laci today it was amazing! She was so happy to see me and I loved holding her! Gosh have I missed her in the 24 hours she has been away. Thursday when the Doc examined her, she just had a tiny bit of feeling in her left leg.. outer toe. Today when he checked again.. He squeezed her little toes and she yanked away and turned and looked at him! I was so happy to see that!! She is getting some feeling back! I am to do some physical therapy exercises with her every day and continue to give her medication, and with any luck... my babygirl just may walk again. I know it will take time.. it won't happen over night. But her vet and I are hopeful that it could happen. I am very thankful she was so spunky today, just like herself.. only her back legs & bladder aren't working well but getting the feeling back is WONDERFUL news! Today has been one of those days, where you really do think about giving up, especially after really bad news. Today's news has definally changed my life, and I'm not sure that I can bounce back to the way I was because of it. I lost one of my best friends to suicide early this morning. Motorcyclist Killed After She Collides With Horse
HIWASSEE, Ga. -- A 48-year-old motorcyclist is dead after she collided with a horse on Georgia highway 75 near the state's northern border. Towns County coroner Rickey Mathis said Beth Bennick of Buford was pronounced dead at the scene of Sunday's wreck. Mathis said the horse was also killed on impact. Leaving Fubar For A Bit

My Daughter
Well My Daughter is safely back in Honduras. I took her to Houston this morning for her flight back. That was a long stressful trip. The hardest part was saying goodbye. Stephanie leaving still has me pretty much bummed out. But still it was an amazing trip. Even though this is the first time I have seen my daughter in almost 21 years. Even though we have been talking by e-mail, messenger and by phone, everyone knows that isn't the same. but we just clicked. it was like we had been together everyday of her life. I am very blessed to have a bond like this with my daughter. I know many aren't that lucky, and I wish I could have a bond like this with my son. For my daughter it was quite an adventure, comming in ahead of huricane Gustav. So that kept us indoors for a few days watching tv and talking. Got her hooked on a couple of my shows. Sharing music and stuff like that. We did the tourist thing, took her to jefferson, did shopping there, saw a lot of kool museums.
