Well I'm happy to report the my weekend went well. The three-ring circus of family and furniture and more family is over. Friday my in-laws came up from Southern Californa to attend a wedding in Santa Clara. They stopped over to visit and we all went to dinner. Mariko as always was head-over-heels with excitedment to see them. Saturday the new bed arrived, at 10:30 we were outside putting 3 coats of clear finish on the whole bed. Nothing like a Queen Sized, 12 Draw Captains bed to keep you busy. During this we had to tear down and move out the old bed. Managed to vaccum the whole room between beds. Taking the old bed out was a breeze compaired to moving the new bed in. Solid wood is HEAVY. LOL. Before we were done, the bed was about 33-inches tall and we had not even put the topper on the mattress. hey cherries, just a heads up-- people with a salute now receive a 10% point bonus everytime they're awarded points/cherry bucks. vics also receive a 15% point bonus. these bonuses stack, so if you're a VIC with a salute, you get 25% extra points everytime. one last tweak for today, in order to move beyond level 10, you'll need to have a salute. if you don't have a salute, you'll keep gathering points, but your level won't go any higher. this tweak is not retroactive, so if you're already over level 10 without a salute, you'll stay there.. you just won't move up anymore. hope everyone had a great new year! -mike

As if things couldn't get any better in my life.... (and I mean that sarcastically) This evening, one of my dogs, Pike (after a firefighter's pike pole) Died in my arms tonight. Pike was about 9 or 10 years old and I have had him since he was 7weeks old. He was a wonderful dog with a great personality, and I will miss him very very much. But I also have to worry about my other outside dog who spent his entire life with Pike...and that dog is Mickey. I can only pray that Mickey will be ok, other than his broken heart from missing his partner in crime. Of course my son is also very sad but he is a strong kid, much stronger than I am. About three and a half years ago I arrived in Pennsylvania moving from Nevada. Some of the changes moving back to this part of the country have been fairly big. My back was a wreck and limited my mobility and I had no energy what so ever not to mention I was whiter than some of the sheets.The doctor has become my regular doctor and friend. What he discoverd was i'd lost 50% of the blood in my body (no idea how) and he put me in the hospital immediately and started running tests to see if he could determine where the blood went. In his efforts he introduced me to an oncologist due to an abnormal spike in one of the tests he ran. The oncologist wanted to run a PET scan to determine if I had cancer in my lymph nodes. Well, i got a phone call last week from one of my brothers, telling me my other brother was in the hospital. its been wicked stressful worrying about him. he has cancer. and they gave me 6 months. he ad a surgery to remove it. I just want to point out one thing that really gets on my nerves and it seems to be getting worse and worse...Come on people... learn when to use "You're" and when to use "Your". This is a growing problem in this country. "You're" is short for "You Are". See, the apostrophe... that makes it a "contraction". Yea, "Your" shows possession. You know... like you don't say, "You know YOUR the best". NO! You say, "You know YOU'RE the best"!!! Cause it's short for "...YOU ARE the best". You don't say, "Your a model?" NO! "YOU'RE a model!" The Horror
My girlfriend and I watched the original "Dawn of the Dead" tonight. It was her first time seeing it so of course it made it more fun for me to watch it my 75th time, enjoying it more, because she loves zombies as much as me. The original "Dawn of the Dead" is my favorite zombie movie. It has better acting and the best plot. It's magical in a way. It makes me just want to watch people try to survive with the world in that state. Imagine them, crashing through your windows, in hoards, killing, and eating... never dying. One of the main differences between the original "D of the D" and other zombie films is that it was written with social messages for the viewer, and is filled with raw graphic depictions of savagery. In the original "D of the D" you witness one of the protagonists killing two zombie children. The only weakness is that it was shot in 1978, so it has that "Dirty Harry" look to it. It's too bad every strength of the original was overlooked

Personal Experiences...
What a great day Thanksgiving can be. Spending the day just relaxing and eating all kinds of great food. Seeing family members that I havent seen in almost 13 years. I must say that being here in Downey, Idaho is turning out to be one hell of a great time. My mother cooked an entire Thanksgiving meal with ALL the kinds of food you could ever want. We had a Turkey and a Ham, Apple and Pumpkin Pies, Plus so much more. I ate so much that I think I can go the whole day tomorrow without eating anything at all. Although I will most likely dive into those left-overs and make a ridiculous sandwich at some point during the day. My uncle Paul and a couple of my cousins stopped by for dinner. It was great seeing them again. And after we ate, we went out to the mountains to fire off a few hundred rounds while our food settled in our bellies. So we were supposed to go to court today for the custody modification that we are going for, for my step daughter. Life this past weekend has been pretty rough. Connor, my youngest nephew is in the hospital. He couldn't keep anything down and he had not eaten for three days so we took him to Cooks on Friday. They did a whole battery of tests to figure out what was wrong with him. One of the tests was a spinal tap to check for menengites (sp) well they didn't follow procedure and they may have done nerve damage. He cannot stand or walk. He has feeling in his feet though. Well, on Saturday they figured out what was wrong with him, he had an infectious tapeworm in his stomach, they did think it was amazing that the tapeworm was in his stomach they "never" go into the stomach only the intestines. She Showed Up Yo!

OK so my Birthday was yesterday and as usual it was boring. Dinner with the family. That's it. Just once I'd like to go out drinking or whatever.
