My First Blog
well this is my first blog...i dont really know what to say...im a single mom. i got a 2 yr old little boy. and at the present time living with my sister in law while my brother is in iraq...its only temperary but i love it for now. i get to see my nephews and niece its awesome but still can wait to get out of here. all i ever do is work and watch kids all day long and only get time to myself like never...lol its all good tho im to used to it that im going to go nuts the next week hoildays as my sister in law and the kids will be gone so it will only be my son and i here all by ourselves...for a month and a half that is going to freak me out. im not used to living by myself...but its ok i'll survive...so well i have no clue what else to say if i sound interesting to ya, hit me up i shout like all the time... chow for now.

Red Sox 2, Devil Rays 0 I was a little worried during the first inning when it took Matsuzaka FOREVER to get three outs. New Start
Finally, it is over. I am finally able to step away from my teaching position at juvie and begin to look for a real teaching job. Woohoo. I know some people may be freaking out if they went from employed to unemployed in one fail swoop but I am going to be honest here, I am not. I was sick of being in the toxic environment. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I AM FREE. It seems to be that by the time you are in your mid 40's you should have already woke up to the reality that money does not buy you happiness. This attitutde comes to the surface when you begin to tell people that you have left your job. I made really good money at my job. More money than I will ever make in the public school system teaching. Needless to say, my family began to live the lifestyle accordingly. When I started to consider leaving my job, my husband and I took a long hard look at the lifestyle that we are leading. I am of the belief that there are only a few things you r

My Bird Died
Around 1:55 pm today October 16th my bird Georgie died. Thats the second bird that died this week. Within 2 days apart of eachother. Why would two birds die within days of eachother ? They both lived in the same climate for 3 or 4 years. I believe I was told they were born the same day. From the same mothers eggs. Alright, this was cute......... Yesterday afternoon, Lil' Man was sitting in the hallway with all his toys, just..makin' a mess and fully enjoying the new ginormous truck he just got. On 9/25/08 Edisto Electric came out and turned off my power when I was not home. When I called them to ask why they said I had not paid them in 3 months I quickly proved them wrong but they refused to turn my power back on until I pay my bill ($391) and give them an additional $225 (bringing my security deposit from $75 to 300) and give them a $50 reconnect fee. Now on that was 9/25 this happened and on Sat 11/11/08 I received a FINAL bill (not even 30days after cut off) where they refunded my original security deposit (from 7 years ago) of $75. It is my personal belief that they did this as a way to increase there security deposit by brute force. The sad part about this electric company's actions is they it not only affects me but it affects a totally disabled woman and 2 children. Benifit Ride
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I am trying to organize a Benifit Ride for the family of Zane Blankenship who was murdered in Salem the October 11th. I am hoping this will become an anual thing. His family needs some help paying for the cost of the funeral and things related to that. So if we can make it an anual event, the first one would help them cover that cost. Then the years after, we would donate the money to charity. So tell me - have you been involved in fu-drama and not even know what hit you?! Medical Update
On November 24th, 2008, Angel returned to see her orthopedic surgeon for her follow up visit post op. She was informed that during the surgery on her right leg, two plates, twenty screws and grafted bone were used in the attempt to repair the damage. The incision site is about five inches long and required around 12 staples and one suture. Those were all removed during this appointment and the incision has healed nicely with no infection. Her surgeon has ordered her to continue with no weight bearing for a minimum of six more weeks and she is getting around with the aid of a device called a "roll-about" which is similar to a Childs scooter but modified so that she places her knee on the seat and pushes it with the other leg. It was determined that this device was needed due to the fact that her previous injuries to her hip and pelvis have not healed completely and cannot endure the stress of having impact on them without re-injuring her. A guy purchased his lovely wife a pocket taser for their anniversary, submitted this: Last weekend, I saw something at Larry's Pistol & Pawn Shop that sparked my interesr. Okay so yesterday I learned the *hard* way not to let anyone thats not a doctor or chiro touch my back. I had a friend that popped my back in May and it was awesome, so I had him come over and do it again yesterday. NOT SO AWESOME. By 6pm last night the pain was setting in, by 9pm excruciating describes the way I was feeling. Now mind you, I was having pain from the nape of my neck down to my tail bone, radiating over into my shoulder. I can't sit in one position long, cant move certain ways, including taking a drink leaning back, I had to grab a straw. I tried finding a ride to ER last night and failed. This morning my sister dropped me off there. The check in nurse when she seen my back said OMG! Then from there I became a freak show or so it seemed. I Don't Get It
We go through this every time. My bosses tell me to do something. I tell them why that's not the the best thing to do and give my arguments on what we should do. At some point they just stop listening to me and the meeting ends with them telling me I have to do what they say. Then I do it. Everything goes to utter chaos and we have to do what I suggested in the first place. I love saying I told you so as much as the next gal but the chaos always takes a few innocent bystanders in the process. Is it because I'm a woman? Am I not stating my case clearly? Hunt Trips
i drew a Hunt Unit reservation on the island. a very dubious honor. i hate hunting "the island", but it is close and a reservation for this particular unit promises an easy hunt with a good possibility for success. i hit "the line" at just after midnight and sleep in the back of my Tahoe. the only thing i have to say about that is, "i am too old for this shit." not much to say. it was a pretty standard WMA hunt. got out blind and did fairly well. the blinds around us were occupied with the usual island idiots that wouldn't let birds work in close and lost a lot of cripples due to their skybusting (shooting at birds out of range) habits. my hunting bud and i finished up with 9 birds between the 2 of us and had a good time. i hope i don't have to hunt the island again any time soon. lol FINALLY!!!! back where i belong. i love hunting the "LC". just up from Astoria, OR and on the mighty Columbia River, this is no place for pussies. we head out onto the river

OK so after 16 years with this wonderful person who you see here in my profile pic..tells me she hasn't had feelings for me for about a year and a half, and feels theres nothing left here for her. CHRISTMAS PUNCH 1-cup sugar 1-cup water 1 cinnamon stick 1-teaspoon whole cloves Dash salt 1-quart cranapple juice 2 cups burgundy wine Place sugar in small saucepan and add water gradually. Stirring to blend. Add the rest of the spices and salt. Bring to boil, and then simmer 20 minutes. Remove spices and chill. When ready to serve, add sugar and spice syrup to chilled cranapple juice and wine. Stir and serve in tall wine glasses. Yields: 4 servings Cranberry Tea 3 cups water 4 green tea bags 1 mint tea bag 2 cups cranberry juice, chilled ice fresh mint leaves or fresh cranberries In a medium saucepan bring water to boiling. Remove from heat. Add green and mint tea bags. Cover and let stand for 10 minutes. Remove tea bags; discard. Cover and let chill for 2 hours. Transfer the tea to a pitcher; stir in the cranberry juice. Serve over ice. If desired garnish with fresh mint leaves or cranberries. Chill reaming tea for up to 2 days.

I've finally figured out who I'm voting for in each election that my home address allows me to. Not To Be Confused
I wanted to write a cool blog, something that people can understand and say yeah, I can feel that or I've been their before. Sadly enough nothing is coming to mind. This happens a lot to me. I wrote a short story awhile back called Black Door Past. If you think the title is cool, the story is better. Its crazy, it has a twist, and you wouldn't expect the friend to be death. Then I tried to write another short story, not to much luck on that one. Its like my brain froze and nothing exciting came to mind. All I had was dumb plots. Having to rewrite what i did have. I finally gave up. Saying to hell with it. Man, I use to paint a lot, write poems, draw, well doodle is more like it but I dont know what happen. The Chicago Tribune, a right leaning paper, who has never endorsed a Democrat in it's 151 year history yesterday endorsed Obama. T Their statement was to the point. They said that they could not support McCain due primarily to his choice of Palin as VP. They said, He has sacrificed the security of the United States for the short-term benefit of attracting the far right in his quest for the presidency. They further stated that by brining to the political arena a woman who was clearly not qualified for the position, nor for the potential of having to take over as president, he has sacrificed his sense of obligation to the country for his own gain. As a result we (the Chicago Trib.) can not endorse him. They then went on to endorse Obama and to talk about Obama’s plans, etc. None of which is very important compared to the opening paragraph. On another note Colin Powell today also endorsed Obama. Powell and McCain have been very close friends for years. He added his doubts
