Recent News....
Ok for those that were wondering, I went to Court Yesterday for the custody case. I WON!!! Sole, Legal and Physical Custody!!! He was still locked up, and apparently facing state prison. In fact, he knows the system, AND knows that in order to be at a court date (other then those appointed for crimes charged,) he has to arrange it. He didn't even take the time to do that. I guess he doesnt care as much as he says he does. January 3rd we set up visitation. So thats good, one less thing for me to worry about. Now that I have full custody and I know that my girls are safe and wont be fucked with, I've made a decision. On Monday the 4th I'm going into the Army Recruiters office. If things go well I'm going to re-enlist. I'll be leaving my daughters with their grandma while I go off to basic. Once I'm done with basic, I'll be able to live off base, and have my girls live with me. At this point in time, I'm not exactly sure if I'm going, or when if I'm able to. So I will keep everyone po

You know, I was reading some articles about how Black people and so-called Black leaders are not supporting Obama. I don't really support him, but Blacks in general are overwhelmingly Democrats. Last night my Dad and Step Mother came over to our house to pick us up and go out to dinner and then over to Paul's house (my brother in law) so my parents could see their house for the first time. Dublin Coddle - Irish Recipe Recipe ============= Dublin Coddle ============= Serves 6 1 pound bacon slices 2 pounds pork sausages Some bacon fat or oil 2 large onions, sliced 2 cloves garlic 4 large potatoes, thickly sliced 2 carrots, thickly sliced 1 large bunch of fresh herbs, tied with string black pepper hard cider (apple wine) or apple cider fresh parsley, chopped for garnish Lightly fry the bacon until crisp. Place in a large cooking pot. Brown the sausages in some bacon grease or vegetable oil. Remove and add to pot. Soften sliced onions and whole garlic cloves in fat, then add to pot with potatoes and carrots. Bury the bunch of herbs in the middle of the mixture. Sprinkle with pepper. Cover with cider. I just called the doctor and they told me that lump was nothing but hormons and a bit of inflamation ,I knelt down in thanksgiving prayer as soon as I got the news!!! no matter what happens and how sad the times are,I still have hope for a big family and to nurse and nurture lots of babies. Wow, looking back I can't believe I've been here on Fubar a year now(well technically it's tomorrow Dec. 2nd). It's been a crazy year. A lot of ups and downs, amongst learning experiences. Sharing Recipes!
Hot Buttered Rum 1 quart vanilla ice cream 1 lb. butter 1 lb. powdered sugar 1 lb brown sugar 1 Tablespoon Nutmeg 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon Allow ice cream to sit out for 10 minutes to soften a bit, but you don't want it melted! Meanwhile, cream together butter and powdered sugar, then mix in the brown sugar as well. Add softened ice cream to butter/sugar mixture, then add spices. Refrigerate right away and keep refrigerated. (can be given as gifts in a tin) To serve the hot buttered rum, you scoop the rum mix (above) to fill half the coffee cup. Add water like you would to make coa coa, but also add a shot of rum. 1/2 parts mix + water + shot of rum microwave the cup to coa coa temperature and you've got your hot buttered rum! and that's it! :) This recipe makes enough to keep in the fridge for the whole season! 2-3 weeks worth. If this does not make you laugh, you have lost your sense of humor. The other night I was invited out for a night with the "girls." I told my husband that I would be home by midnight, "I promise!" I figure this will be the easiest way to try to explain since my shoutbox is out of control and the online status doesn't give much room. Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to let them know how much they liked their coffees and to request that they send some of it to the troops there. Starbucks replied, telling the Marines thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee. So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should not support them by buying any of their products! I feel we should get this out in the open. About Me
I have been in bed for the last two days. I am still down and out but there is only so much of laying around I can stand. So at about 3am this morning we got notified that an armed intruder or two broke into our refinery as they were being chased by the police. After about 15 minutes, a co-worker and I (Funny thing, the co-worker a woman is an ex-police officer and I'm an MP in the Army Reserve) left our office to go to another office to get something and chat with the rest of the team. Walking right at us is an individual that clearly does not belong in the refinery, I ask if he has an access badge and he says NO. We then simultaneously secured his arms and took him to the ground and searched him for weapons, he had none. We notified our supervisors and awaited the arrival of the police. Once the police arrived, they cuffed him and later in the shift informed us that the person were involved in an earlier homocide and that's why they were being chased in the first place. Made for a fast final 3 hours. It is with the greatest of pleasure that I announce that my life is forever changing for the better.
