Acorn Squash With Apple
Serves 6 1 Acorn squash 2 apples, cored and sliced 1 tbsp butter 2 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp finely chopped walnuts 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 1. To easily peel the acorn squash without losing a lot of vegetable, gently drop the squash in a large pot of boiling water, and boil for 15 minutes. Pour off the boiling water and fill with cold water and let sit 5 minutes to cool. When cool enough to handle, use a knife to slice off the peel on the ridges and use a teaspoon to dig out the peel in the valleys. Slice the squash in half and remove the seeds and stem. Then slice the halves into sections and finally cut into 1 inch chunks. 2. Place the squash chunks into a large microwave-safe bowl along with the apples. Dot with pieces of butter. Sprinkle the brown sugar, walnuts, salt and cinnamon over the top. Cover with plastic wrap, and poke a few holes in it for ventilation. 3. Cook in the microwave for 7 1/2 minutes on full power. I just read a friends blog that dealt with someone's suicide in their youth, and it got me to thinking about life and death in general. I am no stranger to death, lost my favorite grandfather on December 10th 1985, I can still remember all the details of learning that news. 2 years later his wife, my favorite grandmother passed away. In high school we had a suicide, and we lost someone in a car accident. When I was 18 my father passed on, and then in 2000 my stepfather died, on Father's Day. I had been stationed in California and flew home, he died 2 hours after I got home, while I was sitting there with him. I've had friends die, family die, I have even came close to dying. The first Marine funeral I ever went too was when one of my plattoon members, Cpl Jurado, who was from L.A. and had gone home for the weekend, because we were only stationed about an hour from there, was a passenger in a car where the driver had been drinking and ran into a concrete telephone type pole on the side

Dating, Seeing Each Other And Hooking Up
Depending on who you are asking there is a big difference between dating, seeing each other and hooking up. Hell when I was in high school there was going out. Ive asked a few people, both men and women what the difference is. Well I was surprised, all of them gave a different answer. I asked a couple and I think it started a fight between them. What I Fear Most
Someone asked me once what I feared most. Tony Stewart wins despite running out of gas on the last lap of the Banquet 400 in Kansas. Without having to worry about points the #20 team could take a chance and go for it on fuel mileage. One of the worse tasks was patrolling the borders between Northern & Southern Ireland. Plz Help I Need Prayers For My Dog
My dog is a timber wolf and she needs all the prayers she can get, she has a disc in her spine messed up and now when she walks she can barely use her back legs. She is given up all hope and I dont want to dissapoint my step-kids by having to put her down because she has been in this family for 9 yrs. Damn Cheap Ass Bosses.

so i've been away for a couple weeks now. not that anyone noticed.heh. i took a random trip out of the blue to FL. it was AMAZING.the weather was great while we were there. it was somewhere i wanted to go as a child, i decided to take my daughter before she ended up old like me before she got to go there. anyhow...i'm back. hopefully i'll be able to level up a few times before the holidays.

That may be the name of a song, but I'm serious. It is 13 degrees Fahrenheit outside the last I looked and it was 14 the minute before that so it will probably drop further until the sun make its way round here once again. It wasn't that long ago we had 60 degree weather and I was out walking for my daily mocha wearing only a denim jacket as protection against the elements. Now winter has just sort of happened overnight and I am cabin bound so to speak, until the world thaws out again. Switching It Up
I changed up my folders a little. I figured they might be getting a little unwieldy, so I broke them up. I was thinking from now on I will go with a new folder each time just labeled with the date. What do you guys think?

Suicidal - I Feel So Helpless....
No, I would never consider that path myself; however, I have a friend that is considering that way out and I am over 1,000 miles from him. Last year, I had met his best friend who flew out to Austin to meet me. While it didn't work out with his best friend in a romantic way, we remained in contact and have supported each other's life's concerns throughout the past year. We laughed and cried together through our connections on the internet. I was in Las Vegas a few weeks ago and thought about catching up with him, but his Uncle had just died and I thought they were in the midst of a funeral so I didn't bother calling. Home Health Care Sucks
Mom is coming home today, on her way anways, and i got a call from home health care supply. Medicade dropped us again and they showed up while we were gone yesterday to take away her hospital bed and suction machine away. Lucky we were not here, but they just called and informed me they are coming again, im gonna have to refuse to answer up, because they wont listen to reason when i told them its being covered by hopsice, and why would you just take someones suction machine away when she requires that to live. I swear nothing you say ever makes a difference and i know its their job but how can you look at someone and say its ok if your lungs are gonna fill up, your dieing anyway this is just faster. and you can sleep on the floor I HATE PEOPLE . Deployment
