Value Of Life
Well sometimes you never realize the value of your life until something major happens or almost happens. I got to get a reminder today to enjoy every day as a blessing when I got to see a car heading my way going the wrong way on the highway. I guess I probably should elaborate. . . . I was on my way to work just like anyother day, but my friend had me driving today. Well as I was traveling on one of the major 4 lane highways in this area I see a car heading straight for me on the wrong side of the road. I am lucky my defensive driving payed off I was able to slam on the brakes and move safely to the left shoulder. . . And as I was regaining my composure I noticed all the cars around me stopping and pulling off. . . .I am not sure what happened to the driver or if she ever realized she was going the wrong way or the highway patrol got her. . . .I am just thankful that myself or anyone in the vehicle with me was uninjured.

So I get that Fubar is a "social networking site" of sorts. The difference between this and Facebook is that you generally don't know more than a handful of people before you get on here and you can't show your tits on Facebook. Now the guy running this site is probably a great guy...he's no Zukerburg, but he's doing ok for himself. But I want to talk about what this site's REALLY about...and that's perception. I own 1994 Chevy Lumina APV mini van. I love to pieces it's a great van. Than one day my belt broke on my van, so I got the part to fix it, and took into a shop for them to replace it..when they said I have bad a/c clutch. So, I pay the owner of the shop $300.00 to place it. Now my vechical was working fine for a month or so. Than one day, my van started coughing and acting like not giving enough gas. Found out now, from my mechianic friend that the shop I took it to, they cross wired my wireing harness and it would be like $2,000 to replace it.. I was like gewiz. Saw a show at the Imperial Palace - not the most elegant of casinos that one... The show was The Legends in Concert, a show full of impersonators or tribute artists. Hopped down to Vegas to see Coldplay last night. A great show and worth the trip. First of all, even with all the talk of a recession, I certainly didn't see any slowdown in Vegas. There may be some good deals to get in hotel rates these days, but don't expect it to be slow. The whole town was hopping this weekend, starting with the oversold flights. Once we got there, I was staying at the Monte Carlo where they had no open rooms till 3pm. No space at the pool area, I ended up having lunch in the brew pub. The food was good as usual. Tables were all packed, with $10 minimums for those that wanted to gamble. For Dinner, we ate over at the Chinese Wok at the MGM Grand. At 6pm, there was a 45 minute wait for a table. 1 C. red lentils 3 C. vegitable broth 1 2-3 inch piece of fresh ginger root, peeled 1 bulb of garlic 1 red belle pepper 1/4 tsp. tumeric juice of half a lemon 2 Tbsp. olive oil 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds 1 medium onion sliced 2 fresh red chilies chopped (take the seeds out to make it mild) 1 large tomato chopped, or 6 cherry tomatoes 1 handfull of fresh cilantro chopped 3 sprigs of fresh mint chopped In a food processor mince the ginger, garlic, red belle pepper and tumeric. Boil the lentils in the broth with the above processed mixture until soft. (About 20 minutes) Add the lemon juice and mash the cooked lentil mixture. In a seperate pan, heat the oil and roast the mustard seeds until they pop. Then add the onion, red chilies and tomato. Sprinkle with salt. Sautee until the onions are tender and clear. Then pour into the lentil mixture and top with thefresh cilantro and mint. I've always made spinach pie with loads of butter (about half a pound)b

Veiws From A Scattered Mind
I haven't written anything heah for a time. Things are going along... not as fast as I would like but then patience was nevah something I practiced very well. I feel a lot like I am in a limbo state. I have all these things that I practice and are a part of the lifestyle I lead but are things I just can't do right now. I am chomping on the bit to get theah but on the other hand I am working on not pushing myself too much. I am sleeping bettah which will help the healing so much more.
