Recently this past week, Nicole Dishuk (age 31...newly graduated student with a doctoral degree about to start her new career as a Doctor...) was flown into a nearby hospital, because she passed out. They found a blood clot in her neck, and immediately took her by helicopter to the ER to operate. By the time they removed the right half of her skull to relieve the pressure on her brain, the clot had spread to her brain causing severe damage. Since last Wednesday night, she was battling. They induced her into a coma to stop the blood flow, they operated 3 times. Finally, they said there was nothing left that they could do. They found multiple clots in the left side of her brain, the swelling wouldn't stop, and she was on life support. She died at 4:30 yesterday. Christmas Party
well my party was moved to today and I am about to leave to a $100 a person dinner. I posted this blog earlier thinking that a woman might like to be treated to a really nice dinner, nice conversation at a really fancy resturant downtown, but guess not many people like really fancy places. I listen to morning shows on my way to work. Some of them are funny, some of them...disturbing. Now I adore Steve Harvey but he has had some of the dumbest Strawberry letters. Like today. Laughing At Em..
Is it human nature to do the things we do? I mean we water and fertilize our lawn just to moan and groan cause we have to mow once or twice a week. We buid 60 story buildings on fault lines. Cars are made to reach speeds of 100+ miles per hour only to be driven on roads with 70 miles per hour limit which should be driven at 55 mph due to the poor maintanence. We have all these fast food places, complain if we are not served in under 40 seconds and then whine cause the majority of us are over weight. Texting has become so popular that we are loosing sight of elocution and punctuation. We spend the majority of our time online and wonder why we have no actual friends. I will add more to this later on...as they pop into my head.......

Then further down the moutain, you come across a group on "wheelers" who are trailering a mid-80s Chevy on 2 1/2 ton Rockwells and trying to figure out how to get it through the snow. Easy boys! Hello All, Just a quick note to say...I haven't fallen off the face of the earth! lol.... Day 27
May 2, 2008 (Day 27) I got good news (well as good as it gets good) Cindy called (Clinical Drug Trial Nurse) yesterday and my HER II test finally came back from the lab in California. It was negative...that's a good thing...well better then the test being positive. I am eligible for the drug trial program which means longer length of chemo (6 months verses 3 1/2, which means bald for 3 more months then I wanted to be...lol, yes for those of you that know me...I am vain especially when it comes to my hair!) BUT....I do get the "better drug" if you can call it that being in this program. I also get a better advantage with a group of people that will follow me basically 24/7 during the trial. Which is good and bad for me. I need tons and tons of support, BUT for those of you that know my personality sometimes I hate all the hovering, people constantly at me asking questions and thinking I need to cry or just let it all out type thing. You all know, that's just not me.

The Morning It Happened

I Deal With Lupus And Fibromyalgia
I have Lupus, which is a terminal disease that the doctors know little to nothing about and I'd like to start an awareness campaign about this horrible disease. It can affect all your organs or your skin and I have the kind that is systemic and affects my organs. I was in the hospital yesterday and they said I'm forming a small blockage in my intestines. I am just asking you to please pray for me and tell others about Lupus so they can understand it better. Many people go undiagnosed for most of their lives and it wasn't until 1988 that I got diagnosed with it. They gave me 6 months to 2 years. AND I'M STILL HERE! So, as you can see how little they know about the disease. If you have Lupus spread the word to others around you to help them understand what's going on. New Start
Finally, it is over. I am finally able to step away from my teaching position at juvie and begin to look for a real teaching job. Woohoo. Ok today i'll talk about what goes through my mind as I walk through a crowded market..... First some background---We were sent out to patrol a market in this village. It has been the site of numerous attacks on both American forces and Iraqi forces.
