You know I've been in the Military for almost 15 years now and i've been thanked, had my hand shaken numerous times but I have never had what happened to me on the 10th of November happen. My Life
I joined the military on August 14, 1991. I started my career as a watercraft operator. I went to FT Lewis, WA for my basic training and then I went to FT Eustis, VA for my occupational training. Once I completed my training I went to Panama for my first duty station. I met my wife as soon as I got there and after 4 months of dating her we got married. This was in April of 1992. I spent 3 years in Panama with my wife and then we got stationed at FT Eustis. I spent about 2 years there and during those 2 years we had our first 2 children. In 1998, I got orders to go back to Panama for 1 year. After that I was sent back to FT Eustis, where we had our last 2 children. I spent from 1999-2002 there. In 2002 I changed my occupation to a Repair Parts Specialist. I went to school at FT Lee VA, and then I was stationed in Korea for 1 year alone. After that I was stationed at FT Lewis, WA. Thoughts On Things.
So I am a new member to this site. I wonder a few things about it these things are as follows. 1) WTF is this site?? A place where people ask the be rated or whatever, a fuck hangout, or just another simple site on the net like myspace or whatever. Anyway I go to to looking at some people I have noticed they have been adding the following to their site. I love someone, a child, son daughter with autism. I would like to point out a few things about this subject to help people know a little bit more about that issue we all face. According to the CDC I believe it is we have 1 and 147 kid with autism. In case you are wondering that is more people that die each year in car accidents, drunk driving deaths, lung cancer, and so on. By the year 2010 i believe it is they say that everyone in the US will know someone with some type of autism. If you think about it That's a lot of people that will have autism.. I believe they said it will be 1 and 36 or something like that by then.

We got a call on the way to the hospital that Kaleb's blood count was low, so they are going to give him a blood transfusion, infact they are doing that right now. He has been slowing down on his movement in the last 24 hours and they think that it could be a result from the low blood count. He is also having some stridor when he breathes too. When I walked into his room, I got a little scared because of how loud he was breathing. He also had som spit up around his mouth too. So I cleaned it all up and I saw that there was a tiny, tiny amount of blood in the spit up. The nurses don't seemed too concerned about it, so I guess that is a good sign. Tomorrow will be Josh's first Fathers Day. I think we will end celebrating it here at the hospital for my Dad too. That is what we did for Mother's Day. M

Just Day To Day Upsets

Bah. I, for one, struggle with this time of year. So many losses in the past, and always more to come it seems. This year is slightly different though. I have a great new addition to my life. He's wonderful on every level. He reminds me that there are some good things to look forward to, and it's a little easier not to focus on the past losses. They haunt me, as I'm sure they haunt many of you. Just think of it this way, it could always be worse.. and it could always be better. Omg! My Dad Is Crazy!
Apparently my dad was in line for trains or he's just so addicted to McDonalds! In a hurry to get McDonald's he drives right through this intersection at Warren Woods and Pardee Roads in Berrien County, Galien, Michigan. He drove straight through on Pardee Rd going North. You could turn and go Left as that the higher corner. The water was over the top of his car! He drives a 1996 Chevy Caprice which is a good size car! He's just damn lucky the car didn't stall which surprised me! We just hope he's learned his lesson. He didn't think the water was that deep. That just goes to show you all don't think or judge how deep water is over a road way. It only takes a few inches of rapidly moving water to cause your vehicle to float/drift away with the current. So please use caution when driving through water there may even be a big wash out that you can't see. If I can't see the center yellow line I don't go through and if it's going over a bridge or nearby a creek

At The House...

What Has Become Of Common Courtesy?
When I was younger I remember going to the gas station with my parents. We pulled up to the pump and the first employee to spot us would rush over to greet them(pften by name) and ask how much gas they wanted.(gas was much cheaper then so it was mostly a "fill up") The guy would start the pump and then wash the windows while we waited on the gas. When he finished the windows he would ask if we needed our fluids checked on the car and if there was a problem he would let us know what would need to be fixed. When the car was full the attendant would look my father or mother in the eye(if only briefly) and tell them their total. He would take the payment graciously and thank them for their business and wish them a good day or week or whatnot.
