Rush
Saturday night I had the pleasure of seeing the band Rush in concert for the first time. To say it was a truly spiritual experience for me is not even doing it the total justice it deserves. It was AMAZING and as near to NIRVANA as I have been. Though I enjoy several different forms of music, I am a huge fan of drummers - power drummers to be more exact. It amazes me the skill it takes to play the drums well and since one of my best friends is a drummer - I have been fortunate enough to be able to watch a skilled drummer behind the variety of drums, cymbals, cow bells, etc. and no matter how many times I watch the drums being played - it still truly captivates me. I was pleasantly surprised when my friends and I arrived at our seats to find that I was directly in front of the drum kit though several rows back but close enough to see clearly without squinting. A friend of mine wrote the blog below this morning. I have thought about it all day. (funny how things will do that) It made me smile, nod my head in agreement, and finally, it made me say "Hell Yes"!! well it's come down to bare tacks and barbed words with me....everyone wants me to keep calm about my doctor bills cuz of my blood pressure and my heart and its that is what is causin it. For those of you that do not know... I had surgery on October 30th and have been slowly recovering from that. Then on November 21 my daughter and I got carbon monoxide poisoning. Personal Victories
I just got officially transfered to the Santa Barbara club. I moved here 3 weeks ago. The good news is that they need Yoga Instructors. The bad news is that Santa Barbara is the center of the universe for YOGA, so everyone has extremely high expectations. . .on top of that, this last Tuesday, whoever the instructor was supposed to be missed the class, and 40+ people were hard core PISSED OFF. So I showed up early, got organized and I had about 22 people - one brand new person, who did well, and the class went very well and everyone was pleased and I was well-received......WHEW!! I will be the regular teacher on Tuesdays and Thursdays now and I am writing a proposal for the country club for a M, W, F class, to begin next week. All the moms have seen me doing Yoga with their kids, prior to swim team practice, on the pool deck and they're chomping at the bit. . . I've been down and out for almost two weeks. Really in a funk. My husband and I have been split up for about 5 months now after being together for 7 years. I found out about a month and a half ago that he has been living with another woman for about 3 and 1/2 months now. When she found out about me she pushed for him to file for divorce so we met up and signed papers. My dad may he R.I.P. Is the only man i trusted with my heart. He passed on 12/06/04. So far every man i've met has hurt my heart in one way or another. You might ask why i trusted my dad with my heart? Well i knew my dad would never break, stomp, crush or walk on my heart. He had my heart and soul. When he passed i think my heart went with him so he could protect it from these kind of men. My Weird Day :)
I was awaken by a big bang this morning that really upset me because I was very tired. So I got out of bed and went to get dressed. As soon as I was dressed, I did the usual reach for my smokes. Woman, 60, Gives Birth to Twin Boys By MATTHEW VERRINDER, Associated Press Writer Tue May 22, 9:53 PM TRENTON, N.J. - A 60-year-old woman became a mother, twice over, when she delivered a pair of boys Tuesday. Frieda Birnbaum gave birth to "Baby A" at 12:44 p.m. and "Baby B" a minute later by Caesarean section at Hackensack University Medical Center, hospital spokeswoman Nancy Radwin said. The twins each weighed 4 pounds, 11 ounces, she said. "The mom is in recovery, and she and the babies are doing really well," Radwin said, declining a request to speak with the mother. Hospital officials believe Birnbaum may be the oldest woman to give birth to twins in the United States, Radwin said. Birnbaum, a psychologist from Saddle River, underwent in-vitro fertilization last year in Cape Town, South Africa, at a center that specializes in older women. She and her husband, Ken, a New York attorney, have been married for 38 years and have three other children _ sons ages 6
