This is my 700th active* post in this blog. To put that in perspective, that's over 100 blogs a year, over the course of almost seven years on here. That's pretty insane considering that past 2 years or so I've dropped off dramatically in my involvement and posting. But nevertheless, it's a pretty large number.
So I was thinking about what to say right. Another "blast from the past" session that 90% of the people that read this post won't even understand what I'm talking about? Nah. More fakes? Nah. More drama and players and whores and the like?
Nah. To be honest I don't even have anyone that I'm looking into (at the moment anyways) other than the parade of fakes as usual. I guess that speaks alot about alot considering the past.
Hell, the two most recent (if you want to call 2011 recent) people I exposed offsite seem to be headed toward of all things - redemption. Haven't heard any "new" bad about them in quite some time. I guess there's a statute of limitations on things and people's actions. Some things are forgivable if repented and some well, just continue in different forms.
And I guess there comes a time when you can let go of the things and personal involvement issues you've had with people over the years as well. Some people I've fought with, I've re-friended or at least re-established civilized dialogue with. Some don't like it I am sure but ask me if I care. Time around here does and should heal alot of baggage and garbage. I guess from my own point of view _ i've been through too much on here to care enough to get personally involved or bother to get close to really anyone anymore. Too much bullshit, lies, convienent "leaving out" of pertinent information, etc etc, the usual garb. Nor do I really have the time nor will to even bother. This isn't a slam against the site blah blah, even though the culture has changed so dramatically it's not even funny. It's not 2006-2009 anymore. That's long been established. And the majority of those people there were so relevant during that timeframe for the most part have moved on with their lives and have left Fubar behind. Some login when they feel like (me :-) ) and do what they want, with no real motivation to rank, level or run ability bling and play the famp/rank game like they once did. But alot of them have just left. Take a look at some of your friends' lists and go back some and you'll see countless people who you all can have "omg remember when..." stories about.
But enough of that. The future is now and tomorrow. What will this place look like in a year? Who even knows. What kind of culture will it breed? That we know even less about. But at post 700 even I have to start taking a look and why I even continue to post. And that's the kind of uncertainty that alot of people consider when they have been hitting the logout button. Unless you're over 50 years old and are spending your real life retirement on the top members of the week board. Amazing how things have changed, and here I am, at post 700....why?..
*active means there were a high number of posts deleted during the NSFW and rules changes regarding blogs, bashing and calling out pedophiles, sex offenders, scammers and con artists about 4-5 years ago.
