So I had some leftovers
I grabbed a couple new potatoes
2 spring onions
1 ear of sweet corn (already cooked)
1 chorizo sausage
1 smoked ham hock (already cooked in collard greens yesterday)
1/2 a banana pepper
1/2 a jalapeno
A heavy pinch of salt
1 tsp of tumeric
2 tbs of paprika
1 tsp of cumin seeds
1 tbs of bacon fat
I sliced my potatoes on the side of my box grater and dabbed them dry with a paper towel, they were almost see-through thin
I stood my ear of corn up and sliced the kernels off and scraped the goo out with the back of my knife
diced the onions
cut ribbons out of the peppers
and I deskinned my chorizo and broke it up with my fingers and threw all of that into my cast iron skillet to let it warm up while I de-rhined and broke apart the ham hock
a lot of skin and soft cologeny fatty tissue is in the hock, and just little bit of solid meat to shred
I think that's a good thing, I like these cologeny flavorful bits in fried rice and such but cut it real small. The rhine with the fat tastes vaguely like bacon.
Once I noticed the chorizo was cooked through I started preheating my oven and I threw in the ham and the spices.
Tossed until the oven was ready and popped the whole thing in for 10 minutes (15 if you want it more dry and crispy)
Then I et.
It was awesome.
Could've probably used some
chives
garlic
and a tomato
That's about it.
I got biscuits and local blackberry jam for dessert, that'll probably be around the 4th inning.
Also- 10,000 Reward points this week on MGO. Can't wait, that'll get me the rest of the Raindrop camo I wanted. And yes, I'm thinking about actually buying stuff for this game like the Ghillie suit and the expansion maps and gamemodes.
The rain camo is mostly just a darker more blue urban camo with a slight streak of orange. I lieks it. More than my grey/black/white urban camo.
I'll see if I can export a picture or two of my character.
Right now he's got an urban bandana and combat jacket
Raindrop scarf-bandana, and pants
black kneepads chest armor and pistol holster
I dunno how I want to accent my camo. I tend to make the armor a complimenting color/pattern rather than the same since a lot of that stuff has fewer color options, and it kinda blends too much when you only wear one pattern... kinda makes you look like some striped mudman.
And yes, most everyone still wears
Black
black
black
black
black
more black
and black.
:/
Occasionally a pair of khaki pants or ONE red accessory (red being the most expensive fucking thing in this game for some reason >>)
There's a reason they wore OD for so damn long. Black makes you a GIANT stomping silhouette for me to shoot in all light levels.
Stop it.
On second thought don't.
I think I still want a white hockey mask, despite it making me a GIANT target. I don't always have to wear it >>
Wouldn't mind a tree bark suit too, but that camo really doesn't come up that much, at least with my grey I can usually find a spot even outside of an urban setting... Ghillie just has the advantage of being WEIRD and lumpy, could spare me a headshot or two.
And red tinted sunglasses >> I dunno what it is, they look damned cool though.
Look
go make the food I eat.
It's really good, and my brother just ate tuna salad sandwiches for a week straight... I worry about that boy.
*ponders* I never see navy outfits either. Black and khaki clones. Everywhere.
