I guess it wasn't so bad.
She asked me to "call if I wanted to hang out"
and I did.
At 5:30.
She didn't pick up.
I texted her the details, basically stating
"I wanna hang out... my parents want to hijack my weekend
HALP!!!

call me when you can :)"

she said "Okay :)"

... there's one ... four problems with this girl.

1. Kind of a space cadet on stuff like that.
I might be here waiting ... STARING at my phone willing it to ring.

Okay, no might about it, that's exactly what I'm doing.

She has this weird history of
blanking out on these things.
Bless her heart.
From what I can gather its never willful but she might very well forget alltogether to call me.

Got the second coat of primer on the neueu ziel for most of the major parts.

It probably makes more sense to primer EVERYTHING in one or two goes, but I really don't have the real estate to dry ALL those teensy pieces, and I haven't set up any issolation for left right and misc

so right now I'm just doing one side at a time and reassembling all told 1/3 is colored, another third is primed.
Then there's TEENY parts that I have to de-joint, paint, and reassemble with the joint.

zeta C class 1/100 MG
V3 RX-78 version 2 1/100 MG
and Gouf 1/100 version 2 MG
are all expected to arrive 3/24/10?

I figured I'd break down and get the Gouf V2 since its reportedly MILES and away better than the version 1.

And I'm painting the Version 1...
and I'd like an OOB Gouf.

I haven't decided if I'm repainting the Ramba Ral custom. There's some argument that it doesn't need it, and there's more argument that... if you paint it anything other than royal blue

and I've seen two GREAT royal blue finishes.

I dunno... that light gray oob isn't doing it for me. But it does look better on the runners than that guy's picture.

This is THE man that made the Shin Matsunaga custom Kampfer..

and I probably already posted it, and you probably said "so fucking what??"

this guy extended parts, made new holsters, shopped his own gatling gun, modded a crap ass SMG into a heavy machine gun, and did some otherwise very simple things that would NEVER occur to me.
Like cutting metal meash vents and glueing them over the exhaust, or molding globs of putty and then hand shaving them to points, or
using a small plastic tube and drilling out a few holes to make a machine gun barrel.

Deceptively simple things, things I sketched in my notebook and said "how would that even work/look?"

I asked him if I could have his tutorials offline.
Because bloggers go down.
Often.
And it took me this long to find some very simple answers to very specific questions.
That's the problem when 85% of your instructions or knowledge base is in Japanese.
