I wanted to be part of your dream come true.
I loved every moment your eyes met mine.
I loved your golden hair like fine silk
In a sun gone blind
With your beauty.
I wanted your hand always next to mine.
I wanted to read the books you read also.
I wanted to stand with my shadow crossing
Yours.
All those used bookstores where we giggled
And searched for treasure troves of past
And future.
All the science fiction I needed was to be
In your tomorrow.
All the heart I wanted was to be there
To comfort you in your sorrow.
I wanted our names together
And us forevermore.
I wanted the seasons of your youth
And mind to be free of everything
But you and me.
And I’ve spent a lifetime remembering you.
I have angel dust in my eyes always
Because I still love you.
And if there are salvations
And dreams unbound,
There will be you in the summer sun,
In high green grass,
Eating a vanilla ice cream cone.
White cream on your upper lip.
And your crafty smile
When I come into view.
And the world will always be the

The clocks of time rest inside your
