WOO!
Set backs.
I was about one hour in and noticed some sputtering spitting and general disagreement from my airbrush.
Which sucked because I was hell bent on doing the second primer coat in one go.
I had all the paint I needed in the reservoir, I had all parts primed, I had a BIG vat to dunk
well, I thought "fuck it I'll dunk the tip and spray it in the warm cleaning liquid"
...
sputters... protests, spits.
God damn it.
So I had did a full breakdown.
Full cleanse.
And I got to meet my tungsten alloy needle.
He's pretty.
Least favorite part of the b/r
threading the needle back through the chamber and threading it through removeable parts.
There was actually quite a bit of gunk in the chamber which I only found because the needle caught as I was feeding it deeper.
It was a bitch.
I need a very very very small wire brush.
Then I hopped back in my lawn chair, didn't even put my safety gear (because I was just checking to see that I hadn't ruined my equipment)
20 minutes later and a cool breeze of atomized paint in my eyes and nose reminded me to suit up.
I'd say 1/3 of the Nieue Ziel has a second coat of primer
and my hands have never looked prettier.
I even managed to make a big globby mess on the ground and got a few flecks on my lips.
I'll be stylin tomorrow at work.
... seriously though I need to get smarter about transferring from that big HONKIN tin of paint into that 1/4 cup reservoir.
Oh yeah, so the problem was that I didn't thin the paint tonight, it clogged the feeding tube and the contact parts housing the needle.
Suck.
This thing still doesn't have the dispersal and output I was expecting but... *shrugs* it really picks up once you eyeball the distance, and the rhythm.
