pissed this morning.

I thought to myself "ah sure, I can make it, I just have %50 lung capacity"

and I'm going out to bring my dog in, who started spotting yesterday (as in bing clumpy patches of vagina blood)

and the little fucker starts running in circles and being a general fuckhead.

Granted its a nice morning and typically I let her stay out on these mornings but I explained to her that I don't want any babies.

No go.

I do all my usual tricks- run from her,
run inside

she even hops inside with me, only to bolt and jump out the door again

at which point I'm extra pissed because I'm
wheezing
and running late.

I eventually catch her, she does her little death roll, pulls my arm too hard, wrenches my wrist and yanks her collar all the way off, drags me into dog shit
bucks and kicks me in the stomach and face
and I've fucking had it

I pick her up by her ears chomp down on one, and knee her gently in the ass when she tries to buck free again (you ever tried to grab a 130 lb bag of muscle with no collar? not easy) it ruins her leverage, I haul her ass into the time out room, whip her once with her collar buckle on the ass and slam the door

I check the time

I would be at least five minutes late at this point

Now I can't breathe, I'm panting, and I have a surging head ache and back ache from hauling her.

so at this exact moment

I can either call in and have a mark for being late

or I can call in and have a mark for not showing up.

Easiest choice I've ever made especially since the downgrade is virtually identical.
What's stupid is if I'd show up at 8:00 and leave at 1:01 I'd not get an attendance mark but if you're through the door at 8:07 you're proper fucked even if you stay late or take a short lunch.

Dog's in time out, got the shit off my shoes.
I'm going back to bed.

They really need to rethink that attendance policy.
