For the love of god why did this happen
We were a family so happy
One night we were sleeping
Peacefully
Our lives were torn apart
The man had no heart
We woke the next morning knowing no fear
We did not know our daughter was stolen from here
We searched high and low
We did not know
The man had stolen her right from our home
Called the police
We did not realize our grief
WHen i sit and pray tonight
I dont know her plight
THis is the time
I need jesus by ourside
I feel a hand on my shoulder
I can feel warmth knowing he holds her
I look up and it is a man
He says have faith your girl is in my hands
He tells me she has been battered and bruised
The man who took her damaged her good
He said sexually she was violated
Dont you worry your little girl knows nothing now but pure love
He says feel free she is with me
I will deal with this man
Knowing he never came to me just underwent his own plan
I go to sleep that night
Not knowing that mans plight
I turn on the news the next morning
They found my little girl it is my time to start mourning
They also said the man who took her innocence
Never had a chance
Suicide was his choice
Jesus said he would never have a voice
So the man who said he had my little girl
Saved her from a life of pain she just knew
I will sit and pray tonight
That me and my wife
Will soon end our strife
So we may have a life
Like our little girl would like
Jesus saved our family that night
Wasnt sure why
Mistaken identity proved when our little girl walked through the door
She said daddy a man loved me and said I needed life more
He told me to wake up and come home

What has been done
I said darling you have been sleeping
