Ripples
Ripples of the ocean
Can show lots of motion
Ripples of a lake
You can see them coming without a second take
The life of a man has many ripples
From when his first child is born
Even through the 2nd, 3rd and 4th
They all look to him
Making ripples just as good as him
Whether it learn how to work
Whether it learn how to fish
His time with them is priceless
So when he died that day in a wildfire
The ripples shook his family to the core
Unlike anything seen in a giant tsunami
Unlike the rain pelting the water
From sadness to depression
No winning in the loss of a daddy
The frustration and anxiety overwhelming
The sadness and chills when daddy hears my their voices from heaven
They will move on in many directions
They will have to erect some of their own ripples
So their children can learn love and loss
In the end our heart is the ocean
Mysteries are deep
WIth nothing to cover up how we feel
