And yes. This is all in reference to a ten year old boy using profanity regularly and poking me with regularity after being repeatedly asked to stop.

Now, I may have high expectations. I may be uncompromising.

But I just pulled my keys out of my pocket, held them up and walked out on family christmas

I shouldn't have to be pestered. These kids constantly live without consequences, disciplinary enforcement, or any consistent authority in their life

last I checked. I'm not responsible for my cousin's kids, and I shouldn't be subjected to their unsupervised frequent flailing.

Now I'm sure a couple people went "wtf" a few people went "oh gee whiz Ick sure is a cock monger" and a few people said "well- you wouldn't stop bothering him"

this WILL end up with me being the bad guy.
I didn't yell at a child. I didn't hit a child. I did ask repeatedly for the caretaker of these children to supervise these kids and get them to leave me alone.

I don't think that's unreasonable.
So why do I KNOW I'll be made into some snarling baby-eater?
I dunno... maybe because I've been a member of this family long enough to see some of this shit coming.

How do I know I did the right thing?
Because I was A.) grounded for not listening to my elders
B.) hit for not listening to my elders
C.) taken home for not listening to my elders.
D.) All of the above my parents were UBER-enforcers.
