I sit here, in my own silence and peace
I hear the song and voices around me
I feel the emptiness that is my soul and heart
I hear the echo of me that is unfamiliar
I can taste the sadness and tears
How can I fill the space, become complete
I know its not far in the distance, I can see
I must dig a little deeper into that dark part
and find the power to feel the sun
on my skin and bring the light I need
so I can be and fill the hole that is me
