Srsly.

And this thing was about 1/5th my size.

How could I resist?

I hate ham.

uuh... well.
That's not a true statement.

I hate "ham" unless its spam or shaved lunch meat.
I hate ham steak.
I think it had something to do with how my mom cooked and served it, but ham and beans, ham sandwiches, ham fried rice-
sign me up.
This is a Ham. As in bones, and a ton of skin and juice.

I also noticed when I got back from visiting my folks, that I am always hungry.

Over at their house, there is usually something to eat.
No matter how late it is.

I'll be carving this beast a smidge.
I'm confident I can fit him in my oven and roasting rack.... but I'd prefer to get him in my hugenormous dutch oven.

Why?

I'm going to make a glaze of RC cola.
... and maybe some ginger...
and some ... uh that should be plenty.

Alton Brown uses Dr. Pepper.
Morimoto uses Coke.

I like RC.

So... cut him down a bit, huck him in a pot with cola in it. Bake.
... I probably don't actually have to cut it down to cover. Wait... yes I do.

This is my first attempt at making these... so ... *shrugs* they were 98 cents for a MASSIVE bunch of MASSIVE leaves.
I couldn't resist.

I also picked up some rice noodles and thai curry in a jar, and some of that peanut sauce you find in everything thai.
It's been helping the crab meat go down.

without making crab alfredo 40 times.

instead of getting my ass out of bed to get a job (and I've officially ran out of reasons not to have an 8-5 schedule again)

I got a lot done on my Kampfer.

Spikes are mounted on the shoulder with contour putty, because set epoxy does not set with plastic epoxy on set epoxy.
I'll probably sand later.

The bazoooka might be done. I was thinking about messing with it more, but it might not fit on the kit after I do... so I decided to leave it at this point.
The shield is ... essentually done.

So I started taking off armor plates in antcipation of priming.

Fuck...
I still haven't pinned down a good light grey yet.

*rolls eyes*
and I have to paint hands again.

Did I mention there's a hojilion contact points on this kit too?
I dunno if I -have- to do this step, where I tape every single joint or socket to keep it from getting gummed up during painting, but I think I'd rather take that precaution than not.
