OK, I deleted 170 people from my friends list today. I was relatively ruthless about it, but I doubt most of those people will even notice I'm gone.
When I post about how I'm going to clean off my friends list, please don't worry. If you're reading my blogs, you're probably not someone I would delete, because you're obviously interested in what I have to say as a person. I don't delete people who talk to me, read my blogs, rate/comment my pics, or drop me comments. And yes, I keep track of those things.
I delete people who don't talk to me, ever. Who don't rate my pics, or read my blogs, or drop me comments on my page. In all cases, I have dropped comments a few times, to say hello, and haven't gotten any "hello" in return. I usually give them 3-4 weeks to give me some inkling that they're interested in getting to know me as a person, and if I don't hear from them, I delete them.
If you are reading this, and I did remove you from my friends list, and you would like to be added back, please indicate in your add request that you are aware we were friends before. I've gotten a few add requests from people who didn't seem to realize we were even friends before.
