I know, you are reading the subject and thinking I am going to bag on you for being some lameass. In actuality, I am giving you some great advise - this time it is free; next time you pay the going rate. You see, trying to be cool means seeking approval from others. This basically means that you are doing things or acting a certain way to please other folks, rather than just doing what you do and being who you are because that is you. Once you accept that you are not cool, and that you will never be cool, you can start to do everything that you want to do without any peer pressure. Your friends don't think your doing Yoga is cool?! Fuck them, they will be weak fat pieces of crap and you will be fit. Your friends don't think your choice of vehicle fits the image they want you to portray?! Well, they are free to give you the money to buy that BMW. I realized I would never ever ever be cool when I was in high school. I was into computers and everyone else was into sports and chasing girls. Well, they caught the girls, knocked them up, and are now stuck in a shitty life with a bad marriage and several kids. I followed the computer gig into a successful career. I got into old cars and old Vespas. Also not cool at the time. Then they became fad. I got into snowboarding when it wasn't cool. Now X Games says it is. Everything I did was for me because I knew I wasn't cool, but I thought each thing would be fun. Now a bunch of it is considered cool, but I am still me. So, don't do anything for the sake of being cool. Most likely you will end up being cool because you don't care. Amazing how that works.
