Belief made a fool of me today

The see-saw in your laughing eyes severing the line between

crumbling styrofoam cups that held my faith hostage

This empty room is a school yard full of broken reprimands

Drunken broken swings sway under the weight of my shame

for indulging in careless recess expectations

[Exploitations]

The creaking of the merry go round whispers

my part in all of this

Sing Song reliance with engorged sand box traps

I fell into face first

I cover my ears to drown out
sound

I made a fool of belief today
