Great. I have to br every linebreak stil.
I guess there's just no way around it. I have to blog.
So. Now what? uuh. I'm sort of... kind of ... I guess working on my Gouf now. Between that and grinding parts/money on Gundam Senki.
Turns out there are high expectations of me now that I've revealed my concept process and how long I've been thinking about this Gouf.
I just hope people remember that I've scrap built fuck all.
Wait. Have I? ... yeah pretty much fuck-all. 3 Spikes, 1 shield and a fixed hip joint does not make an expert.
I'm definitely working at the "expert" level on this one.
But I'm fully familiar with the theory required to make it. Today I think I'm going to sand and putty. But I'm a little nervous since every step forward is pretty much a point of no return. I'll probably build and paint (after fitting) the arrays separately. Sanding could permanently fuck up my kit, and my guru didn't post what grit to use on this step. He said he used the superfine side of a nail-file. Which to me feels a lot like 800 grit. I also need to buy 2k-4k grit to proceed with the wetsanding stages, which I've not thought about too much since today was the first day in January it was above 20 degrees, and you wetsand the paint, not the plastic.
I could theoretically paint today. But way way premature.
By the way- 4k grit sandpaper has got to be smoother than most toilet papers...
So file, contour putty, file, sand. I think... *cringes* after that... *moarcringes*. I should seriously consider changing the forms around and consider building all the necessary weirdness to extend the shapes and inventory my supplies. I have to build a shell for 4 side-calf thrusters, 3 butt thrusters, 2 3x thrusters for the ankles. He's gonna come out wearing bell bottoms, but I'm okay with that. And extend the backpack.
Crap and I have to extend the body which I have all of 1 shape figured out (that would be the bottom of the box that would fit into the abdomen- everything has to build from that point. If you've ever built a 3-D puzzle bust (I have) I could always just build layers of flat until the body is built up high enough- or I could construct a hollow box and fill the hollow form.
Look, it was either think here or think in the shower. And that water always starts uncomfortably cold.
