The Zipper A man walked into a supermarket with his zipper down. A lady cashier walked up to him and said, "Your barracks door is open." Well once again I found myself sitting here this morning going thru my friends list sending user comments, thinking to myself ya know Chas...why..why do you constantly send out user comments to those that NEVER send them Back. So I deleted many off of my list, dont take it personal if you were one of them, I just dont care to spend over an hour each day skipping through user names trying to get to the ones who do actually show they are a friend by sending comments back, or by coming back to check my page for updates or new pics, or giving a shout every now and then. The ones I decided to keep have shown me that they are a "real" friend and not here solely for points...which is why I am here..to meet new people and make some new friends joke laff and have a good time. thought that I might post something on here since I havent in a while.. well, the night before last someone committed suicide at work.. some mold setter named Duke.. had just gotten married.. I left at 4 though.. and wasnt there I guess the police were there and so was a drug dog.. so I dont know... that place is bad I guess.. I am hired full time though....and off my 90 day probation and have worked there for 6 months now and now have insurance other than that.. everything is the same.. :P

What can go wrong next? well im sure if anything goes wrong it will happen tonight..or maybe my weekend from heck will carry on to the week. Wouldnt surprise me at all.Everything seems to be going wrong for me the last few days. Why is it when you need someone the most, they're never there for you. But always need you there for them. or want you to tell them everything you want..and then never want to tell you anything..i tell ya..that gets on my nerves. If things dont start to get better.. Going Away Yet Again...
Well, I have to tell you punks that I'm going away for approximately three weeks. Three weeks without any internet access other than the public library... in good ol' Shelburne. I can't believe my birthday is next Sunday. It's kinda surreal. Seems like I just turned 21 and that was last year... I think it's just hitting me harder since today is a boyfriend's birthday. Grilled Chicken And Jicama Salad With Cilantro-lime Vinaigrette
Ingredients: For vinaigrette: 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice 1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves 1/2 tsp. ground cumin Cayenne pepper 1/2 cup olive or canola oil (or mixture of both) Salt For salad: 1 1/2 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast halves 1 large head romaine lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces 1 small jicama (about 12 oz.), cut into thin sticks 1 small bunch radishes, sliced into half-moons 1/4 small red onion, very thinly sliced 1 large avocado, diced 1 large mango, diced 1/4 cup hulled, roasted, salted pepitas Preparation: Preheat ridged grill pan. For vinaigrette: In medium bowl, combine lime juice, cilantro, cumin and pinch of cayenne pepper. Slowly whisk in oil until emulsified. Add salt and adjust seasonings to taste. Porkchops With Mushroom Bourbon Cream Sauce
2 Tbsp olive oil 1 lb button mushrooms, sliced 1/4 cup chopped onions 2 large garlic cloves, chopped 1/2 cup dry white wine 1 cup chicken stock 1/2 cup heavy cream 1/4 cup bourbon whisky Salt and pepper 1 large egg 2 Tbsp water 4 6-7 oz center-cut pork chops All purpose flour 2 cups fresh bread crumbs 3 Tbsp olive oil or grapeseed oil 2 Tbsp minced fresh basil 1 Prepare the sauce. Sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms in 2 Tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet on medium high heat until the mushrooms are browned - about 15 minutes. Add the wine and boil down until the liquid is reduced to almost a glaze, about 4 minutes. Add the chicken stock, cream, and bourbon. Simmer until the sauce thickens, about 12 minutes. 2 Prepare the pork. Whisk an egg and 2 Tbsp of water in a shallow baking dish. Sprinkle both sides of pork chops with salt and pepper. Do we have a disposition to discredit a legitimate message because of our own prejudices, say against the person or the content? Update On My Cousin...
I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that my cousin is out of the coma. But he isn't out of the clear just yet. They think he has some brain damage. They took the tube out of his throat. All I ask is to keep him in your prayers. If I haven't told you all my Mom is out of the hospital, she has a problem with acid reflux. Today my Dad had to go to the doctor, he has been having trouble with his knee. They have scheduled for him to have surgery on Monday. So I ask to keep him in your prayers as well.

Well yet again I end up at our local chop shop aka the hospital...As I sat there for almost seven hours I realized just how much I hate the entire medical system. As some of you know I recently had surgery and through no fault of my own ended up with a "common" infection from this particular procedure. Only by the grace of God did I not end up having to be admitted, wasting even more of my precious life in that God-forsaken place. It did however give me the opportunity I was asking for earlier, the ability to shut off the voices and retreat into myself. All of us at one time or another need some solitude, and I enjoyed mine. I am actually more peaceful and now ready to look down the gun barrel of life yet again. I am ready to be healed inside and out, take on new endeavors and embrace all that life throws at me, good or bad. How I Feel...
I am not me, and I'm not who you WANT me to be. Who does that make me? Every dream I've ever chased has failed miserably. This was all I had left, all I Truly wanted, and now even this dream has been placed on hold. I can never be who I want to be, and it's not because of anyone else. It's because I LET my dreams die. Why fight for something I know I cant have? I feel like I've given up. I have no emotion left, no motivation, there's not much fight left in me at this point. I feel drained. My surroundings aren't the only part of this problem, my mentality is also in play. Granted, Iowa sucks, but if I were ever to leave it, If I were to actually persue a dream and fail, I could never live with myself. My fear of failure is literally preventing me from living the life I want to live. I hate waking up everyday and realizing that I can never have the things I want, because I'm too afraid to get out there and grab them for myself.
