So, its been a few days and after many changes of mind, discussion and debate the news is not good. My mothers biopsy was postponed until friday, the drs decided that her tumor has grown and spread too deep in her brain for removal. Still hoping that the tumor is non malignant, but that at this point is just something else to absorb if true... Since the tumor cannot be removed, my mommas life will be taking a drastic change; no driving, nothing over a 15 min ride at a time; no housework, no anything basically.She will need a companion and care all the time, not something that any of us are used to her having to deal with but is a reality now. Udpate I Suppose
Alannah's growing in leaps and bounds it seems. She's up to 15lbs (as of the beginning of this month) and 24 1/4 inches long. She just started sitting up by herself this past weekend. Not pulling herself up into sitting but can sit up all alone. No crawling yet, well no forward movement yet. She's stuck in reverse. She's getting so big so quick! I've been feeding her some baby food, and she likes sweet peas and squash. Better than applesauce even. I have a strange child... In non baby news, work's been going alright I guess. Slow this week but its that time of year. I wish it was steadier, more structured hours. Oh well... In my personal life, I think I've decided to give up on relationships. Ah well... I was just a bit underwhelmed with the majority of the matches on this most recent MMA card, but it was more due to a few fluke outcomes and bizarre finishes than to the predictible main event. After all, we knew it was a matter of strength versus skill, with Lesnar's power and size being almost insurmountable. Couture was better on his feet, in the clinch, and on the ground, with the exception of the very end where he met his defeat at a flurry of blows from the ground and pound position. But for a 45 year old Greco Roman wrestler and boxer to beat the giant (Lesnar cuts substantial weight to make 265) would have been a miracle. My real beef was the fact that powerhouse Gabe Gonzaga was relegated to take on some no name jobber, which he destroyed with such impunity that it didn't do anything to restore him back into title contention or reaffirm his elite status. Tonight I attended my first UFC event in person. It was at the Broomfield Event Center here just NW of Denver. The place holds about 10,000 and was sold out. I left work early about 4 and when I got there the place was packed. If you have never been to a UFC event, the Octagon is placed at the center on the floor. The middle 3rd is basically for the fight. They have a huge lighting cage that sits above it with big screens in all corners plus four above the ring. The seats immediately around the Octagon is reserved for other UFC fighter and media. We were five rows up on one of the middle sides right near the fighters. In fact for much of the preliminaries we were flooded with fans coming down trying to get pictures and autographs from their favorite fighters. And the fighters actually came over and obliged. YES!!!!! If there is one good thing about Maine, it is that this is where the UFC really got started. When I was a kid, the started the "Toughman Competiotion" which is now the UFC. So now we have fun.... Between 7-midnight last night, i had taken 2 Darvocets & 2 Tylenol 3's and those didn't do a darn thing for the excruciating pain!!! Then a friend of mine had a vicodin which i've never taken and it helped a lil bit, made my nose go numb and i felt pretty loopy, but still the pain was too much! grrr I finally got to where i could lay down about 4 a.m. and got a couple of hours of rest. I am taking an antibiotic for my 2nd day so i pray this all goes away....hell this is more painful than going thru a C-section!!!! Thank heavens I'm home. I was so damn bored out of my mind yesterday and today. I need to relocate. I hate this fuckin state. 1 hour and 20 mins to go 18 miles. They have both major highways under construction here. Its impossible to get to and from the city anymore. So we're coving BOB by one of my favorites bands.. Today has kinda sucked! A couple of months ago my middle son got kicked out of school for various reasons... He's no saint by any means but the reasons they gave were really lame. So, today my youngest has been being harassed really bad by this kid... the faculty did nothing to help him. Well yesterday they got in a fight. So, I get a phone call from the principal today telling me they are kicking my kid out!!! The other kid? Nothing not even suspended!!! Why you ask... because the principal is sleeping with that kid's mom! I am sooooo pissed about this! Oh and if that wasn't enough I'm in a lot of pain today from the FMS :-( Anyway I just wanted to vent.

I don't feel all that great today. I am on an antibiotic for this strep throat and today is the last day~! thank goodness~! It causes me to have a tummy ache and I don't eat as much...wait that might be a good thing...LOL~ Yesterday ended up being a day...whew~Jeff came home early so he could go to the dr. He has an infection that is not clearing up so off we went and he has a staph infection. UGH~! So we get home, I cook supper, and go up the road to the pharmacy to get his med. Well, it seems our insurance carrier's computers were down and I had to pay for his med. Not too bad but still $36 is a lot these days around here. Hopefully when I go back to the pharmacy today I can get refunded what they pay for. At least that is what the pharmacy manager said. We also had the heating guy to come out and check the unit this morning. Our house is colder than it should be but he got it figured out what was wrong and it is working properly. Now maybe we can stay warm at night

Last November after 7 years of not being a part of my families life..I reconnected with them. Moved from NY to MO because I was tired of being the girl that was always invited over to someone's house on a holiday and not being part of the family. Either way it hasn't been very good. I hate this po-dunk backwards town..and even though my family is five minutes away I never see them. Now after 35 years of marriage my parents are done. These little bitches that go to school with my daughter are harassing the shit out of her. They call here after midnight, tell my daughter they are going to tell everyone she is a dirty slut, they lie, they disrespect me and my mom, and now they have threatened to beat my daughter up. So, being the good mama I am, I went to her school today and a talk with the principal about these girls. My daughter is scared of them mainly because they are bigger than her and both of them are troublemakers. Now for the kicker, my daughter is 10 years old and in the 4th grade! As if that isn't enough, my son has started to regress. Apparently he saw his dad hit his wife and she told my son that he won't see his dad anymore because he'll be in jail. He is having nightmares EVERY night, he is throwing tantrums so bad that I have to hold him down to keep him from hurting himself, he's terrorizing the dogs....he is already and counseling and he was doing so much better....his kicker, he's only 5!

This is just one of those days... I am tired of the military. I am tired of them not having ANYTHING for us to do, so we have to sit around and occupy space and time on post, when we could be doing anything productive...taking an online class, exercising, anything. But I show up at 9 am and sit in an office until 1015 when they tell me, "you should go to see sergeant so-and-so to work with him." Well Sarge's team is on the back side of post, so I ride out there and guess what? They are doing nothing. So I sit around out there until 11 when they tell us "go to lunch and don't come back until 1." A 2 hour lunch. In bumfucked Mississippi. So, I kill 2 hours and start getting some of my outprocessing stuff ready...which is like trying to clap with one hand. More riding around...wasting gas and my money. Finally they let me get out of there at 4pm. I have to go back in tomorrow at 9 and sit around till 4 again...doing nothing. The Army sure does like to waste money and resources.
