Wedding of Sharna Lees and Joshua Richardson

A bouquet of red roses and a diamond ring stitched up the romance of Sharna Lees and Joshua Richardson.

Bride: Sharna Lees

Groom: Joshua Richardson

Date: April 18, 2015

The meeting: Josh and Sharna met at the Richmond Field Day. Josh was working as a boiler maker and Sharna was working as a governess on a property in the area.

The wedding day: The ceremony was held in the garden of the Mercure, at Townsville, and the reception was held in the ballroom, catering for 100 guests.

Family were involved in the ceremony, with the groom’s mother Tracy doing a reading and the bride’s grandmother as the ring bearer.

The attire: The stunning bride wore an elegant, long ivory organza and lace gown, with a soft sheer low back. It featured an insert of lace daisies, embroidered to meet the soft organza finished in tiny buttons.

A long crystal edged veil complimented the gown with a sapphire necklace and earrings. The bride carried a bouquet of cream, antique pale pink and red roses.

Sharna's attendants were friends Kristina Kelly and Jenna Duff and sister Rachael Turton, who wore long one-shouldered champagne dresses with pearl accessories.

Josh was attended by Mark Hourston, Steven Larkin and James O'Shea, who wore grey vested suits with pale pink ties.

The cake: The wedding cake was a three tier chocolate and caramel mud cake with white fondant icing, trimmed with champagne ribbon and hessian. The cake was made by The Cake Lady, Townsville.

The photographer: Karen Bowey from Red Sky Photography.

The honeymoon: A week at Airlie Beach was the destination chosen by the happy couple.
