SAVE THE WOMEN NOT THE BOOBIES!!!!
First, I want to commend Fubar for bringing attention to this horrible disease. They are spreading awareness & donating to breast cancer research, & I applaud them for their efforts. Although I may not understand the reason behind the name of the bling, I am proud to own them because each one is another $1 toward the cause.& Each 1 reminds ppl of it.
Ok, about the "Save the Ta Tas" & "Save the boobies". There is no reason that a life threating & life ruining disease should be sexualized. "Don't wear a bra day" Seriously?You're NOT saving a pair of tits. You're saving the whole package : Mind, body & soul included.Women are NOT just a pair of tits!
So plz. next time you see "Save the Ta Tas" or "Save the Boobies".. remember.. there is a human being under those! We are looking for a cure to save that human being's life,NOT her breasts! As it is, so many women go thru this with the knowledge that they will be losing theirs. This disease is hard enough to go thru. Impossible to imagine the weight of it. Plz do not make them feel like the loss of their breasts means the loss of their womanhood, loss of their femininity, loss of themselves, or how they are defined in society.
All women are beautiful. No matter shape, size, breasts or no breasts. We should celebrate their life, not their chests!

ok, cutting is a disorder, an illness, it's not about suicide AT ALL& it isn't very easy to treat it most times..
it's almost impossible to explain it..
it is just when everything gets so overwhelming, you feel like you are spinning out of control,
every emotion is coming up on you in waves,
the only thing you can do to stop it all, it cut,the outer pain dilutes the torment inside..
you feel it physically & can handle that aspect of it better,
it's kinda like,popping a balloon filled with water,it releases the pressure....
make any sense?
I have a good friend who is going thru it. He has been for a very long time, but seems to be getting worse. He counts on me to help him everytime he does it. I have tried to get him into therapy, or on meds.. But he won't.
I am unsure wat to do at this point, as he has taken to cutting much worse.. I'm glad he allows me to help him, to talk him down from further harm to himself.. It does worry me tho.. Wat if I can't be there one time? Then Wat?
