RIP DADDY!! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Back from the cemetery. Couldn't tell which tomb was his cuz no plaque. Why no plaque? Well, apparently it wasn't included in the overall price. So, MY question is.. WHY THE FK DID NO1 MENTION THIS BEFORE??🤔The lady is calling me back tomorrow with exact prices, but the little plaque, name & birth/death dates is $400😮 & to put a vase attached it's $195!! 😯Yeah!!😱 So, Aydan went with me to the office while the Monster waited with my mom in the Chapel of Peace where all the tombs are. Aydan told me he wished he would have worn Poppy's sunglasses today. Aydan was so upset!! 🙁He is so worried about the bills for the house , so when he heard this, he was trying not to cry.😢 THEN we come home, he asks if he could speak to me & Nana alone b4 he had to leave with Monster. He comes in, smells my mom's stew & starts to cry. He said it smells like Poppy's soup! 😢 Said he would always smell it, & see Poppy at the table eating.😟So, by the HARDEST & not without SERIOUS attitude, the Monster let him stay to eat some. So Aydan sat in Poppy's chair, ate the stew with crackers (like Poppy😉). We talked of a small swimming pool or trampoline. (to which Aydan replied, yeah! But its too much money!😒) The tree & the Melaton wire/pole would all have to be taken down. He gets serious & says no, tree must stay becuz Sugar (my dad's bird) is buried right next to it. He showed us. Then we find wat appears to be bean sprouts hanging from the melaton wires. (no melatons have been on it forever!) So, guess wat? We now are not taken that down too. 😕 By the time he left, my mom & I had reassured him, the house is here to stay with us in it, we are ok. As much as of butthead he can be, Aydan is such a sensitive boy. He feels things deeply & takes everything to heart.❤️ He was good wen he left here, so Im so glad for that. Now, to wait for the lady to call me back in the morning with all the details for the plaque & vase. UGH!! That will have to wait another month probably cuz we will have to scrape the money together 1st. So, all in all, an upsetting event, but ended on a good note with Aydan being ok, knowing he saved the tree where Poppy's bird is buried & that we, the house are here to stay. 🙂 3 months later, still doesnt seem real at times.  HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DAD!!! WE MISS U!! WE LOVE U! ❤️RIP 💜

In the Criminal Justice System, have we struck a good balance between what we hold persons responsible for and what we excuse?

What changes in the Judicial System would make it more effective? In which way does the judicial system need to be reformed?

Third national flag: "The Blood-Stained Banner" (1865)

The third national flag (also called "the Blood Stained Banner") was adopted March 4, 1865. The red vertical bar was proposed by Major Arthur L. Rogers, who argued that the pure white field of the Second National flag could be mistaken as a flag of truce: when hanging limp in no wind, the flag's Southern Cross canton could accidentally stay hidden, so the flag could mistakenly appear all white.

The Flag Act of 1865 by the Confederate congress near the very end of the War, describes the flag in the following language:

The Congress of the Confederate States of America do enact, That the flag of the Confederate States shall be as follows: The width two-thirds of its length, with the union (now used as the battle flag) to be in width three-fifths of the width of the flag, and so proportioned as to leave the length of the field on the side of the union twice the width of the field below it; to have the ground red and a broad blue saltier thereon, bordered with white and emblazoned with mullets or five pointed stars, corresponding in number to that of the Confederate States; the field to be white, except the outer half from the union to be a red bar extending the width of the flag.

Second national flag: "The Stainless Banner" (1863–1865)

During the solicitation for a second Confederate national flag, there were many different types of designs that were proposed, nearly all making use of the battle flag, which by 1863 had become well-known and popular among those living in the Confederacy. The new design was specified by the Confederate Congress to be a white field "with the union (now used as the battle flag) to be a square of two-thirds the width of the flag, having the ground red; thereupon a broad saltire of blue, bordered with white, and emblazoned with mullets or five-pointed stars, corresponding in number to that of the Confederate States."[18]

The flag is also known as "the Stainless Banner" and was designed by William T. Thompson, a newspaper editor and writer based in Savannah, Georgia, with assistance from William Ross Postell, a Confederate blockade runner. The nickname "stainless" referred to the pure white field which took up a large part of the flag's design, although W.T. Thompson, the flag's designer, referred to his design as "The White Man's Flag".In referring to the white field that comprised a large part of the flag's design elements, Thompson stated that its color symbolized the "supremacy of the white man":

As a people we are fighting maintain the Heaven-ordained supremacy of the white man over the inferior or colored race; a white flag would thus be emblematical of our cause.

W.T. Thompson, stated that the battle cross in the canton was sufficient enough to distinguish the flag from that of one of truce and that adding any additional elements would make the flag look too much like the U.S. one, which he referred to derisively as "the Yankee flag". However, despite these complaints, the second national flag was applauded by some for its design invoking Confederate ideology. George William Bagby praised the flag, referring to the saltire in the flag's canton as the "Southern Cross", as did others at the time, and stating that it embodied "the destiny of the Southern master and his African slave", pointing them southward to "the banks of the Amazon", expressing the desire many Confederates held of expanding slavery southward into Latin America.

First national flag: "The Stars and Bars" (1861–1863)

Three versions of the flag of the Confederate States of America and the Confederate Battle Flag
The first official national flag of the Confederacy, often called the "Stars and Bars", was flown from March 4, 1861 to May 1, 1863.

However, the flag received criticism on ideological grounds for its aesthetic resemblance to the U.S. flag, which many Confederates disliked, seeing it as symbolizing of abolitionism and emancipation, which the Confederacy was officially in opposition to. As early as April 1861, a month after the flag's adoption, some were already criticizing the flag, calling it a "servile imitation" and a "detested parody" of the U.S. flag.[16] In January 1862, George William Bagby, writing for the Southern Literary Messenger, wrote that many Confederates disliked the flag. "Every body wants a new Confederate flag," Bagby wrote, also stating that "The present one is universally hated. It resembles the Yankee flag and that is enough to make it unutterably detestable

Ok... before anyone freaks out, this is NOT meant to start controversy among ANYONE.. It is simplw a little history lesson that I chose to learn about tonight.. In the wake of the recent tragedy in Virgina.. I took it upon myself to learn the REAL meaning of the Confederate flag. & nor do I support &/or associate with ANYTHING associated with flag.. I just chose to learn more about something I never knew before, nor even gave a second thought to..So.. Straight from Wikipedia.. here goes.

.So if u choose to educate yourself.. Please.. read on...

In the wake of the Charleston church shootings that killed nine African-Americans, a long-simmering debate over public displays of the Confederate battle flag has boiled over in the South.

The flag has long been divisive. Descendants of Confederate soldiers who served in the Civil War argue that the flag is an emblem of their heritage. Others say it carries an insignia that is inextricably linked to racism and hate, especially since it has been adopted by many neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups. Images of alleged Charleston shooter Dylann Roof posing with the flag pushed the debate to a tipping point.

The flag's design explained

The "Confederate flag," as it is colloquially referred to, was the flag used in battle by the Army of Northern Virginia during the Civil War. The actual flag of the Confederate States of America featured red and white stripes offset by a blue canton (a term that usually describes a rectangular block in the upper-left corner of a flag) and white stars. The battle flag came into use in 1861, when Confederate Gen. P.G.T. Beauregard complained that the flag of the Confederacy appeared too similar to the American flag on the battlefield.

The origins and symbolism of the flag are the subject of heated debate. There were three flags of the Confederacy, none of which was the one so hotly contested today. The flag's look changed over time, as did its meaning.

The layout (often referred to as the "Southern Cross") is a Saint Andrew's cross, named after the X-shaped cross used to crucify St. Andrew. It also known as a saltire. Some believe the symbol represents freedom and independence from oppression and tyranny. The design can be found in the flag of Jamaica, Scotland and the United Kingdom.

The 13 stars represent the 11 states of the Confederacy as well as Kentucky and Missouri, two slave states that were claimed by the Confederacy but never actually seceded during the Civil War.

The Sun Stone

I was going through my Facebook tieline posts.

I found this post that had 1-6 each a certain crystal on it

this is the one I was drawn to, & it is so unbelievably true!

No. 3 Sun Stone

If you are attracted to this stone, you are beginning to feel more optimistic about the future.

The power of the sun is energizing your body, enhancing your health and lifting fears and stress.

The sun stone is an omen of good luck and signifies events taking a turn for the better.

Imagine waking in the morning and your first emotion is JOY.

Pure Joy because you have breath in your body and people in your life who love you.

Once joy exists at this basic level, you attract more of the same.

You are being given strength to overcome problems.

Watch as magical alternatives appear.

If you’ve been silently praying for a miracle, this is it.

It is time for your day in the sun.
