I have determined that we are all the same lifeform
a walking, talking complex amino acid some of us with the parasitic mytochondria.
We are all DNA in varying degrees of development and adaptation.
All life on this planet has this in common, from single celled organisms, plants, to animals, to virus.
And we're in constant competition trying to figure out the most adaptive and efficient form of life- and I propose that life has been found
I introduce to you
the true master of evolution
Grass.
:)
You see, we have a reversed perspective on evolution, where we SHOULD value efficiency adaptivity, survivability, and reproductive capabilities- we think advanced evolution to be the capacity of language and abstract thought
when you think about it- the grass in your front lawn outnumbers the bugs in a square mile, and the people in an average sized urban mile.
Grass is a self sustaining and self contained life form, and it is so numerable that if we were to be overrun with locusts and sheep tomorrow- grass would keep trucking
it needs the naturally cycling rainfall, and sunlight- even an ice age with dust-winter/blackout it came back.
It's survived multiple ice ages, global volcanic events, and MASSIVE climate changes
but by that token- so has DNA
so why was Grass my choice of evolutionary masters?
It's been here pretty fucking long, requires very little- and reproduces faster and lasts longer than tribbles.
Yup. Grass. And don't even try pointing out that people live in deserts- they have to import water, livestock, shelter, clothing, and government to manage their limited resources. Grass just lives or doesn't in arid climates.
Also- to all my penguin friends, what's up with antarctica- you know you can live in Chile right?
