she wrote the truth that fateful day knowing what would happen
she could have written…
Exactly what he wanted to hear
if she did it may have prolonged their clandestine meetings but
there was never any guarantee and you see she had this feeling
he made it clear with his words where she stood…last in the scheme of things
and yes, she knew he never promised anything
her heart still beats
the earth still turns
the world still exists and
life moves on
she smiles
she laughs
she writes yet
everyday, many times, he comes to mind
still she desires to be his quiet port in a storm and
it appears her love will never die
she’ll always want him by her side
she wrote the truth
spoke what was in her heart
knew what would happen and it did
she hasn’t seen him since
nor would she change a thing she said...
Except the words from anger and hurt
If I could wrap you up
I would take you every where I go
If I had it my way
You would never leave
My side....
If I could make time stand still
Just to soak up the essence
The essence that is you

If I could wake each morning
With you laying beside me
That would be a dream come true
Just to lay side by side
Sharing into the wee hours of the night
Trusting you like no other
With all my thoughts and vice versa
Creating an even more unbreakable bond
Where I know all the intricate details of what makes you, YOU
I want to feel your heart beat next to mine
While you gently place your hands over mine
And feel that your heart beat matches mine
So enmeshed together you & I
We don't know where one starts
And the other ends
We become one
I want to love you for eternity
Sprinkle it with infinity
Bask in a love that defies time
That time is almost here
