Brewing the perfect pot of coffee is really quite easy.

First, you put in one scoop for every two cups of coffee the coffee maker will brew.
Fill with 12 cups worth of water.
Bring to a rolling boil.
allow to cool to a reasonably warm temp.
keep on the warming plate all day.
To brew second pot of coffee for the day, remove half the grounds, add three scoops of coffee, add water to remaining coffee to bring the level up to the proper volume, then bring up to a boil once more.
You can actually keep the coffee going for a month using these techniques, once you start the first pot for the month, just keep adding to it.
Now the nice thing about such coffee is that not only can you drink it, you can use it as an engine degreaser, parts cleaner and it will take the black powder residue off cap and ball firearms.
