I did it. I started off this week with the goal of making the top 50 chicks of the week. I was at rank 71 of the week when I started out. I have always wanted to be on the home page of new hottness. Of course this was a year ago when the only way to get likes was to scroll or have someone like you from the home page. Back then my goal was to be green. I already accomplished this the week I got back, you can read my previous blog post "Leaving the Green Behind" about that adventure.
I am writing this post to thank everyone who helped me achieve my goal. I not only made top 50 chicks, I hit #15 of the week. I couldn't have done it without some very special people. You know who you are and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart (h).
The past seven days have been a struggle. I put my entire self into getting rates so I could rank. I did whatever was necessary. I even stopped talking to a lot of people. For this I am sorry :( I never meant to ignore anyone. I love my friends on here and would do anything for them. You guys have a special place in my heart that can never be replaced.
As of today, I am withdrawing from hardcore ranking. I proved to myself that I could do it. I know that I could go even higher, red even, if I wanted to. I don't want to though. Just know, if you're reading this and also want to make it to the top of fu, you can do it. It is stressful and very time consuming. But you can jump from no rank to top 10 in one week if you wanted to. Don't let anyone ever tell you, you can't. In fact, block them out of your life now.
I have met lots of wonderful people along the way. Making these new friendships had been the best part of the last week.
Now that I have achieved what I set out to do, I will work on my new goals for fubar. I feel there is no need for me to stay at a rank. I know I can do it. Keeping it up just forces me to not do what I want to on fu. I like helping others. I like chatting with my friends. I love making new friends. In fact, after October, I am changing the color of my name. For me this will be symbolic. Everytime I see the grey, it will remind me of why I am here on fubar.
There is a lot of fun to be had on fubar. Remember, this is an online bar...or at least that is how it is advertised. When you visit a bar, you go there to either forget your worries in real life or meet people. Whether it is new friends or a new spouse (lol). I suggest you use fubar the same way. Meet new people, have fun. Enjoy the time you spend away from your real life. Just don't let it become your real life. It is an online social site, but don't forget to have a real social life as well.
The great thing about fubar, is there is something for everyone. If you just like to chat and have fun, you can participate in lounges. If you like being popular, you can rank on the lists. If you want to be free and be the adult you are, there are many ways to do that here. No matter what you enjoy doing in your free time, fubar can be that place you escape to. That is why I keep coming back.
