Sadness closes in on her,
As she embraces another lonely day.
Hugging herself tight,
Wishing she wasn’t so alone.
Curling up,
She slowly fades into the darkness.
Knowing that,
It’s not as lonely there.
She watches the world,
As it passes her by.
Lost in the thoughts,
Of her own little world.
She closes her eyes,
And begins to cry.
Tears for what she’s lost,
And for what’s yet to be.
Drifting off,
To a land that’s unknown.
Her reality vastly fades,
As she begins to live a lucid dream.
Traveling throw a dense forest,
Climbing and squeezing as need be.
Hoping that somewhere,
Lies the answers that she needs.
Heading deeper,
She quickens her pace.
Only to hear a stern voice say,
Patience there, little one.
Startled and puzzled,
She looks around.
Only to find,
That she’s still all alone.
