Emotions in a Row

Emotions in a Row By: April Terry Loneliness, A feeling of isolation. Can it be, That what should be, One of the happiest times, In ones life, That they feel so utterly alone? Happiness, A feeling of pure joy. Can it be, The one feeling, We have learned to resist, In ones life, From the lack there of? Sadness A feeling of melancholy. Can if be, The one feeling, We have resided within, For so long, In ones life, That we must always feel? Feelings, No matter what, They are always with us. Written on our faces, Mark by scars, On are skin, And in our hearts Questions, Will they read the signs? Will it be the truth? Can one be so selfish? Do they even care? As they watch us die, From our bleeding hearts? Oblivious, A state of mind? Or is it a choice? Does one choose, To be so ignorant. Of the pain they cause, To those around them? Pain, How much must one know, Before they can be free? Will the hurting ever cease? Or is this throbbing, Eternal? Numbness, A feeling of lack there of, We all must learn. It’s the power, To our lives, The answer to all our sorrow. Regret. A feeling of sorrow, Or to be repetitive. But one must remember, It was what we wanted, At the time there of. Emotions. So many flowing free, How is one to grasp. How they really feel? Let alone, Get it out to others, And not cause anymore heartache?

Silence Please!

Silence Please! By: April Terry Silence please, Can you hear that? Of course you can’t. You never could hear me! I scream all day! And all night! Hoping and praying, This time you just may. Deep inside, It’s killing me. Do you like what you see? With each passing moment, I slowly wither away. Am I invisible? Do I even exists? Was I even really real? Maybe someone dreamt me up. Could I be ones fantasy? I try so hard, But get no where. Stuck in this landslide, Only way is down. Silence please, Can you hear me yet? I’m here, Please will you listen? I lay at your feet, Reaching up for your hand? But you never look down, You don’t know I’m here. Clawing at you, Screaming as loud as I can. You never even flinch. What’s the point? Was there ever one? Looking at my hand, I notice I can see throw it. Is the master of this dream waking? Soon will I be, Gone forever? Without an ounce, Of notice from you. You where always to busy, And now I’m gone. Silence please, That’s all that’s left. And in my place, A pile of ash. Till the wind came along, And blow it away. No sigh of me, Near or far, But I was once told, On a cold silent night. If one really tries to listen, They will hear my faint screams. The scream I made just for you. While hoping and praying, You may hear. Even a flick of your lash, Would have been nice. Now I’m gone, And it’s your entire fault. I tried so hard, But none of it matter. You always were, Lost in your own little world. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Could it be that I can tap into what another is feeling? These feeling in here are not of my own!

Excuse Me a Few

Excuse Me a Few By: April Terry Excuse me a few, While I admire you. I just can’t help, But to watch you times. Your eyes are always, So full of love. Your smile’s so big, It brightens my day. Every movement, Done with such poise I just can’t help, But to sit and stare. When I was younger, I’d always hoped. That one day, I’d find the one. But never in all my life, Did I think I would. Now that I have you, I can’t do without. Who would of thought, I could love this much? Surly not I, But I am glad. Excuse me a few, While I fall all over. What can I say, You have such charm. Every time I see you, I fall over again. Head over hills, Just for you love. You spin my world, Round and round. You add meaning, Where it lacked before. When I was younger, I wanted my own family. And since I’ve found you, That’s just what I have. I always dreamt of arms, I couldn’t live without. And a touch, I just can’t get enough of. And love that purer, Then falling snow flakes. And in you, I have all that and more.

The Beast Within

The Beast Within By: April 26, 2008 Inside us all, There lives something so dark. Something so horrific. We all try to deny, It’s existence. We cover it up. Bury it deep within. But no matter what, The dark voice, Always has it say. We try to block it out, Try to contain it. Destroy it, Control it, But we never can. The darkness within, Always prevails. The more we fight it, The deeper it grows, Getting louder and louder. We hinge, On its every word. Listening intently, But wishing we didn’t. Maybe this time is different? We always convince ourselves, That we are stronger, And actually run the show. That we’re the master, And it’s the puppet. But deep inside, As much as we love to deny. We all know, We’re just another puppet, In the mist Of the beast within.

Only human

Only human By: April Terry Misunderstood, Alienated, And alone, She stumbles off with her opened wounds, To find her father, king, lord and savior. Tear stricken eyes, And bloodstained hands, She falls to her knees and begins to pray.

A Father's Love

A Father’s Love By April Terry Into the light she shall run, Hiding from the world outside. Not able to comprehend, The lies and despair of that world. Slowly she retreats, To the only truth she knows. She holds her head up, Keeping her eyes on God. She suddenly feels a tear, Drip from her eye. A tear of pain and heartache, A tear of lost and deception. Gentle he reaches out his hand, Caressing her weeping face. He catches every tear, Not letting any hit the ground. He looks deep into her eyes, With love she’s never seen. He wraps her in his arms, Taking away her hurt. Holding her close, Letting her know that he is her father. Showing her, Just how much he loves her. In an instant, All her pain is gone. Her tears soon fade away, And dry within his hands. She can’t help but to smile, For she’s know her father love. She remember, Everything he has done for her. She lifts her hands up, And praises him holy name. Giving her father, Glory, honor and all her love.

Key Keeper

Key keeper By: April Terry A heart so guarded, She figured it was safe from all man. Then he came along, The keeper of her keys. Within moments, He was in. She stood back in awe, As he worked his magic. With each passing second, She fell more in love. The walls she built, Crumbled to dust. The steel doors she welded shut, All melted away. A voice so tender, In a moments times she was his. Longing for his every touch, And needing for his love. Feeling like a new born, Unable to get enough. Within days, He becomes her life. Though it makes her weary All she feels is ecstasy. When he looks at her, All she sees is love in his eyes. And when he is hurting, She feels it deep within. A love so sudden, That she knows he’s the one. Deeper then the ocean Wider then the skies. She hangs on his every word, Each one spoken so perfectly. Missing him more, Then anyone before. Aching deep inside, When not in his presents. Waiting for the day, She’ll be in his arms. Listening to his heart. When she looks up, And says I love you.

They

They By: April Terry They travel the world of a distant plan. They come from near and far. Future, Past and present. They intermingle with us all. Thou not everyone will admit. Some call them ghost, Others call them spirits, And some call them angels. Either way, They live among us. Some help to guild us. Others are lost. Some are trying to right there wrongs. Whatever their reason is, They stay.

Deep Within

Deep Within By: April Terry She takes a deep breath, And crosses her heart. Hoping what she feels inside, Just isn’t real. The pain inside her, Runs deep within. She feels its course profoundly, Threw every vain, nerve, and beat of her heart. The tears slowly feel her eyes, As she tries to cover them up. She wonders if, She truly is this weak. She tries to go back in time, Remembering every choice she’s made. Trying to figure out, Just where she went so wrong. Searching for long lost answers, When did she forget to love? What was the cause of it? Why does she feel so empty? Can she remember how to love? Can she fix her broken past? Will she ever fill full again? Deeper and deeper, She travels within. Twisting and twirling, As it gets darker and darker. The intensity of her pain, Becomes stronger and stronger. She winces within, Strangling to keep moving in. She fights her way, Knowing its not much farther. She holds herself tightly, Whispers to herself. I must find the answers, I must. She stops, Heart beating out of control, All she can do, Is stand with her mouth gapping. Its far worse then her greatest fear. It reaches forth, Grabs her,

Live Life, Then Die

By: April Terry Life is one of the strangest things, You never know what's gonna happen next. One day everything can be great, But then the next everything can be hell. You can't really predict, What's gonna happen next. With every choice you make, Your life changes just a bit. But if you could know, What was gonna happen next, Would you really want to know? Would you try to change it? Life is just one big mystery! It's never really ending. For every ending, Is really a new beginning. Were all just trying to get through it, The best way we know how, No one is perfect, So get over it. Many of us, Will make mistakes! But that's just a part of life, Part of what makes it so fun! When life gets bad, Just remember it won't last forever. When life is going good, Just remember it could always be worst. Go out and take a chance, For this is your only life! Make mistakes, But then learn from them! Life is meant to be fun. So take advantage of that fact. Go out and party hard, Just remember what is real. What is real you ask? Well that is your own opinion. God, family, and true friends, Might be a good place to start. For without them, You may never truly be happy, But with them, You may be overjoyed. For in life, It's not the big things that matter, It's really, The small and free things. For in this world, You can have all the money, But still be, The saddest and loneliest. Fix as many mistakes, As you can, Cause when its time, For your life to end. It will be too late, For you to fix them then. Always remember, Live life to your fullest! Cause one day, When you least expect it, There will be no more of you. Cause it was time for you to go
